  1. 300+ miles for me, but I don't complain. Traveling long distances to numerous parks has opened my eyes to various things many do not know about. It also lets me relive one of my favorite movies, everytime:
  2. I found this site during a similar discussion last year concerning the same unfortunate set of circumstances: http://securacoinloc.../coin-sizes.php http://www.KICentral...lockers__st__30
  3. ^ I suggest a locker next time.
  4. What an unfortunate turn of events for the deserted park. With any luck, the fair board will see the writing on the wall (although, I'm not willing to hold my breath)- if a family with a history of successful business ventures in family entertainment is unwilling to sign a deal, the possibilities of others doing the same is very slim. With all the pre-contract commentary from Mr. Hart, I'm surprised he is not talking now.
  5. They throw them away because no one is near them and they are trash at that point. And because there's money to be made when replacements are made. I have no doubt the ulterior motive is not money, yet simply removing trash to make the park look clean. The cost of the 1,000,000+ garbage cans in a 100' radius signifies that. Seriously, it is not a healthy decision to leave any drinking containers unattended and any place. There are some sick people out there.
  6. Too bad only one of you is SBNO. Really? Isn't this more than a little harsh and at least borderline cyber-bullying? I'm not saying that what Mccarthy said is true or not true but there's no need to attack in such a manner. Yes, really. If someone is willing to make outragous claims, back it up, or be prepared for criticism. If criticism is now considered "cyber bullying" I am most certainly gulity. If you consider using a enthuiast term, on an enthusiast site, "cyber bullying" I am also guilty. And finally, if you consider that to be bullying, life in the real World will certainly come as quite a shock to you. -Brown whose community status update on KIC profile page has been SBNO since March 19, 2010.
  7. "No decision has been made." Sounds familiar.
  8. How about you forward me that e-mail. browntggrr@aol.com
  9. This opens the door for: what is considered a small child. 8? 9? 12? Parents always believe (I am gulity of this as well) "my child will not do that". Much like: "my pit bull is tame". When something happens (with kids, the door for everything is open) the most common phrase is: "Where were the parents?" Hindsight is always 20/20. Sometimes crap happens. With any luck, injuries do not happen.
  10. More info: http://www.bizjournals.com/louisville/news/2012/06/13/bluegrass-boardwalk-approved-for.html
  11. ^ So it is safe to assume you only read the last few posts....
  12. Turns out it was 200 miles, either way... http://themeparkrevi...8407&start=4620 Just so we all know some distances: http://www.distancefromto.net/ CP to CW: 228.52 miles CP to Hershey: 325.47 miles Even if the exclusivity contract may have been true, I can't imagine it would last forever.
  13. Ok, what is it with terrible spelling & this particular topic title! http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/25709-cedar-point-has-a-kewl-addition-to-their-web-cams/page__fromsearch__1
  14. Funny statement- nothing to do with KI..... Reletive through marriage just put on their FB status:
  15. Sasquatch breeding areas are often ignored too.
  16. Once Vortex sinks, an Aquatrax will be installed.
  17. ^ That is pretty much it in a nutshell. KI could hire 500 landscape workers and they would be busy before the season, but once the work is done, probably only need 20 for the rest of the year.
  18. Ohhhh.... Opie..... I get it!
  19. Beast's installation did not remove nearly as much as DB & was actually designed around large trees. Beast is also a terrain coaster, thus less space was needed for construction equipment allowing less trees to be removed.
