  1. Mr. Hart is certainly an intresting individual. I applaud his bluntness, but question his motives.
  2. ^ You are missing out on some pretty good food.
  3. After riding it last night, I can say there was definently no "pot hole" or whatever you felt on the lift hill. Vortex was riding as smooth and fast as the last time I rode it (maybe 3-5 years ago) It may be a specific train issue & not a track issue. Issues like this should be mentioned to ride ops. If there are enough "complaints" it will help maintenance with troubleshooting.
  4. This reminds me of when cigarette ads were being removed from TV & billboards. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/OTUS/michelle-obama-announce-food-initiative-disney-theme-parks/story?id=16498782
  5. I wonder if my 5th grade math teacher still has my D&D dice.........
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5ZeNZtvACI That said..... moving on..... If BB was mentioned during another park event, it could be spun that just mentioning it was an attempt to sell more people that it would happen. Given that a statement on the progress, or lack thereof, was just released less than a week ago, it was clear where everything stands. There is currently no lease, thus a transaction has not been made. Expecting a statment about another park, during a different park event, is simply grasping at straws. It should also be noted that the press release was not through the HW website (though issued by Paula), thus reinforcing the desire to keep both parks seperate as of now.
  7. Nobody wants the rides operating more than KI. If they could have predicted these issues, it would have been taken care of before breaking down. We should give credit where it is due. DB was operating for the first holiday weekend of the early 2012 season with a temporary fix. Many hurdles needed to be accomplished for this to happen.
  8. ^ DB being down was also posted on FB which is pushing 1,000,000,000 members.
  9. Leave the valuables:in the car, at home, or with a non-rider. If you want to use the convenience of a locker, pay the price. And if you don't want to pay the price for the locker, consider what the alternative costs for not.
  10. Aside from why a locker costs so much, the perpetrators are responsible for their actions and need to be held accountable. If it were not for people like this, lockers would be unnecessary thus leaving the cost a moo (anyone get this?) point. Now I do believe people need to properly protect their valuable belongings, yet using the cost of a locker as an excuse for not is plain stupid.
  11. ^^ Quite possibly the same reason why a bottle of beer is $2.50 in Erie, but $10 in New York City.
  12. I was wondering how long it would take for a negative spin on why a HW event did not mention another park. Answer- just under 24 hours
  13. Why not just ask Guest Relations?
  14. Expecting perfection leaves little room for reality.
  15. I think there is a lot more than bad luck going on with the WindSeekers, Then what is it with the prototype ride?pro·to·type/ˈprōtəˌtīp/ Noun: A first or preliminary model of something, esp. a machine, from which other forms are developed or copied.
  16. Chalk it up as bad luck.
  17. From an operations standpoint, I cannot think of an easier coaster to load/ unload than Raptor. Guests of exceptional size is normally not a concern. Shoes are not a concern. Operators can easily get to the restraints without bending over. Carry-on items are normally not an issue.
  18. Comparing SoB to any coaster makes zero sense.....
  19. ^ Were you eligable for OT pay, or were you exempt (thus screwed) due to seasonal work?
  20. There are actually dedicated jobs for "shampooers" to make the list? Guess you learn something new everyday!
  21. I guess we should consider ourselves lucky that these issues have yet to rear their ugly head.
  22. I have a hard time blaming just Linder with this one.....
  23. Did the signs mention all 5 days ( ) or just DB is closed today?
  24. Operating season is my favorite. Off season $ucks!
  25. International Street doesn't really have the "International" aspect nailed down. You think adding a bunch of flags to the entrance will help? The true "international" aspect of IS has been missing since the mid-90's. At this point, adding anything will help.
