  1. Very true, yet, neither of those examples have the size or deconstruction time needed to remove DT building & ride. Think more along of WWL removal at end of 2005 for Maverick in 2007 and DD removal in 2009 for OM replacement leading to WS in 2011.
  2. Will responding make a difference?
  3. What would that be?
  4. Metal detectors installed= 2002 Trams last ran= 2005-'06 Other than that, what do the trams have anything to do with the metal detectors?
  5. And if the dummy gets stuck on the ride during the first test run of the season, they call it a wet dream.
  6. Only a dummy would ride a first test run of the season.
  7. ^^ That is a great question. Was the advanced engineering part of the $25 million? Just throwing some numbers & ideas around: I could not find a cost for Raging Bull, but Apollo's Chariot, which were both B & M's first hypers in 1999, cost $20 million. DB & Behemoth both were about $22 million (Behemoth in Canadian= $ 26 million) in 2009 & 2008 respectively. TTD and later the larger & faster KK were both $25 million. EDIT: there has also been rumors about the "on property" dorms for employees being removed due to their age.
  8. Although I have anticipated the removal of DT for some time, removing it would leave a riding hole for the guests with "in-between" height (under 48" but over 46"). CP would also lose a large "on property" storage facility. If DT is removed & if the rumors are true, CP could be adding a Jr. coaster for those with "in-between" height as well as a large coaster. I just don't believe it will be for 2013 as, if recent history is followed, DT would already be removed making way for a 2013 expansion.
  9. Don't sweat it. Only the 25 day forecast is accurate....
  10. KI smoking areas will now have CPR 1st responders at each side of the area. and I'm a smoker......
  11. Absolutely. That often happens. Especially when the actual holiday falls on a Saturday. Yet, there will be some that do not agree with FL and blame the long wait specifically on that. Of course those days with long waits will come on a Saturday/ Sunday/ holiday weekend when many of regular park guests know it will be busy and need to blame a poor decision on something else other than their own bad decision.
  12. Opening day is all about using your head over emotion. The weather is always questionable. Rides constantly go down. Employees are fresh fish. Crowds: who knows? Etc..... If I was down there, would I go? yes. (I never claimed to be smart )
  13. Are you the same person that came up with the 25 day forecast?

  15. You would have to let an entire train of people (i.e. 32 for Diamondback) for your wait to increase by 1 train. Yet, none of us know how the system will work due to the park not being open yet. We could bring up every variable possible and still not cover everything.
  16. This perception is exactly why it has been announced that only a limited amount of passes will be sold/ day. Believing that announcement is another can of worms.
  17. Since there was no FL in 2011, and there is no way to guage how FL will operate given CP or KI is not yet open, you have chosen to not go to CP because you are unhappy with the crowds HW brings in. Or are you just ASSUMING FL will increase your wait time?
  18. Please correct me if I am incorrect: - you have a CF season pass - CP is busy on the weekends - you went in the fall, "fall season" is during HW, which is known to always be busy - staying there is not cheap - you will not go to CP now because of FL, but will go to KI, which also has FL Forgot one- - CP did not have 2012 FL offered in 2011
  19. http://www.tennessean.com/article/20120418/NEWS0202/304180130/Water-snow-park-by-Gaylord-Dollywood-will-get-property-tax-break?odyssey=tab%7Ctopnews%7Ctext%7CBusiness I am SHOCKED an elected official would rather land sit empty, than to bring in more business.
  20. Not going to a park because of a "Fast Lane" type perk will certainly limit the parks to enjoy.

  22. Photos: Transformers ride at Universal Studios Hollywood http://www.latimes.com/travel/deals/themeparks/la-trb-transformers-universal-studios-07201126-pg,0,4951740.photogallery I would have liked to see more "real" pics.
  23. FL is not marketed for Season Pass holders, but for guests that are new to the park or can only visit once/ year. Pass holders have ERT & visit the park numerous times during the operating season. HH was a terrible time to offer FL as a "trial run" due to the amount of people the event brings in a limited amount of time. It should not be used as a true measuring stick of how the "perk" will operate.
  24. Yes I did understand your post, which is why I only quoted the "elementary school" portion of it. After that, the discussion had nothing to do with you. You responded to my comment so i responded to your comment. Sorry for having an opinion about this topic that differs from yours. I thought that was a point of a forum to openly discuss your ideas and opinions about certain topics... Thanks for putting this KIC "rookie" in his place. Ill make sure NOT to respond to you since your response to my comment apparently "Had nothing to do with me" Again, the only part of your comment that I discussed was what I quoted. Other than that, none of your comment was referred to. Can I buy you a cup of coffee? I do that for people that seem to be having a bad day.
