  1. I don't remember the head rests being that close to my head
  2. How much longer is Coney open?
  3. The Viking ship has almost gotten to the point where I can't stand to ride it, I mean seriously what is scary about a swing? Today I rode it and the 2 people next to me screamed at the top of their lungs right in my ear, and it gave me such a headache that I couldn't ride any coasters for about 90 minutes.I just don't get it, it's just a nice mild peaceful ride, nothing can cause a headache like someone screaming in your ear. I really love when they start screaming before the ride hardly even moves. If they scream on the Viking Fury, I can't imagine what the reaction is on The Vortex, passing out perhaps
  4. I mean seriously you can tell that they are not really scared they just can't wait to scream
  5. The only place I ever saw Sticker's Grove T-shirts were in the ticket booth for ski ball and it would have taken a lot of playing ski ball to win and they were small, possibly kid sized shirts.
  6. You're right that isn't a bad price, I couldn't really remember what it was, but I guess it just irritates me when I see discounts all the time but I can't use them.
  7. The Viking Ship and Racer come to mind. The rides are just fun, they are not scary, and while Coasters rarely ever give me headaches, the 12 year old sitting behind me screaming their head off like they are on fire do. I don't mind the enthusiasm but do you have to screech and scream at the top of your lungs to enjoy the ride? I mean I usually let out a big cheer at the end of a great ride, but I don't see the need to scream through the whole ride.
  8. I desperately miss the backwards racer, I still ride The Racer a lot but not near as much as I did before this year.
  9. I've never been to Holiday World. I didn't think it looked worth the price of admission. Being that I could care less about water parks and with the amount of rides they have, I feel like I'm paying a lot for the water park with my park admission, that's why I'm in favor of separate charges for waterparks. It's become a practice for medium size parks to build a big water park and all of a sudden they are justified in charging big amusement park price. They have 2 coasters that look really nice but after that it doesn't look to me like they have all that much to draw there.
  10. It's a real bummer when the sky ride is down, which seems to happen often probably because of wind, but I love that ride
  11. I like Coney, but I've never been a big fan of outdoor swimming, I hate how most discounts that come along for Coney always involve the pool, I know it's their trademark attraction, but if they had more ride only discounts I would go more often.
  12. Other than someone dying on a ride which is always the worst news, the worst news for me is when they turned the backward racer around forward again. But the antique cars removal and flying eagle were pretty devistating as well.

yeah, I don't know I like airtime hills but I guess if I'm going fast enough I forget all about it
  15. Good thing too, since the park is closed pretty much all of September the Haunt is my favorite time to go to KI, not because of the halloween festivities, but because I like the cooler weather, last year I went more in October than I did the whole rest of the year, it really is a shame I can't go in September that is my favorite time.
  16. I can't remember the skyride as I was 3 years old when it was removed, but I sure wish it were back, I love skyrides, a nice pleasant way to get from one side of the park to another and have a great view. Parks are to concerned with wild rides to add these kind of rides anymore and it's a real shame, while I love the wild rides, I also like variety and peaceful rides.

Everyone is entitled to there opinion, but MF is the greatest coaster I have ever ridden. If you don't like it you must not like height and speed and length of ride, MF has it all not to mention the view of Lake Erie. You probably won't like Diamondback either, as it will be on the same premise of speed and height. MF is really awesome late at night when it's dark and breeze is blowing. What exactly don't you like about it?
  18. Yes with the wind yesterday the scooter were the best ever.
  19. The place was absolutely packed. I didn't even end up riding the Tornado. Plenty of time on the Flying Scooters though. Funny last year the Helicopters were gone, and another spin ride with apple designed cars were in it's place, this year the helicopters are back, and I'm glad because I used to enjoy riding them as a kid, and Strickers Grove actually lets adults ride it. Next family day will be October 12, price goes up to $12, but in addition to free soft drinks they are also advertising free popcorn, free snow cones and free cotton candy. Sounds like a real deal, $11 if you have the flyer with the coupon.
  20. I think that probably it wasn't mentioned because, Sandusky and Cincinnati were probably the 2 markets that were already doing the best
  21. oh, I was just referring to the rides they rode.
  22. if not for the log flume and The Racer they might not recognize the place
  23. anyone know the guy who goes crazy on the flying scooters and even sometimes takes his camcorder on it?
  24. No, but I don't think an addition of ride like Diamondback would make anyone a detractor. There were many that were ecstatic, but there were many who hated it on this site, having never been to GL, it's hard for me to comment on that situation, but I'm sure CF lost money on the park, if the park had been well attended I'm sure it would still be going strong, and maybe CF had some blame for not putting enough new stuff in it, I have no idea, but if a community wants to have a park, they need to attend the place. I have no fear of that happening to Kings Island
  25. Is it a safe bet to say most of the Cedar Fair detractors have dissapeared? I remember when they first bought the park several people moaned and groaned.
