Don must get a lot of emails from people asking this very question, "when is SOB going to come down....ect." It was quick and to the point.

I once had a guest come through tolls and gave me $10 in quarters and I had him wait until I counted every single quarter. I am not going to have my register be short, which I will be dinged and could cost me my job if I have a variance. She was doing her job as trained.

What if someone takes pieces of treated lumber from their deck and sale them claiming they were from SOB? You know there will be some who would buy it.
-
And please, I think we do not have to have pictures posted. KIC does have standards and no potty humor please.

When I used to clean rest rooms in the early 90's, we were assigned a group of rest rooms in a certain area. When I had the rest rooms at the front gate, we cleaned the front gate mens, mens at the start of IS, restroom in Festhause. It should be the same with the women's. As we go from restroom to restroom, we would sweep the area as we go. The locations is the same for the other restrooms in the park. We have two or three restrooms assigned to clean in the park within the same vicinity. It should be the same today as it was back then.

I would think that everything belongs to the demolition company that was awarded the contract as to how the wood and other items are salvaged, unless terms on certain items are not included. As for if they give the wood to a paper company, nothing is given to anybody. They are sold, not given away. As for the wood, I would think that a pulp mill would handle the treated wood. Just like when Yankee Stadium was torn down, the salvage company had title to everything and they sold what they could to all interest parties, even the locker of their stars. I would think that all the medal from SOB would be sold for their scrap value.

When I was in ecology back in the 90's, they had female sweepers go and empty all of the small covered bins above the toilets that were used for that purpose. That is also one of the jobs that the female restroom attendant had to do on a daily basis. As I have no need to go into the female restrooms, I do not know if they still have those small covered bins, but I would guess they do.

When I go to an amusement park on a crowded day, I expect rides to have long lines and just deal with it. But by being local, I know the days that are less crowded and choose those days to attend.
-
Increased crowds is very good for the park. That means more people to spend on admission tickets, food and merchandise while in the park. It is all about generating additional revenues that can be used for expansion plans.

I think I would fall over dead if I ever heard a park employee say "I'm sorry sir, you are only allowed to buy one Fast Lane pass per visit". I did not say it was as simple as one FL per pass holder. It was a what if question. If FL purchase did count towards the fun perks reward, would it only credit a single FL per pass holder, not that a pass holder could only purchase 1 Fast Lane ticket. This might be something that the park did not consider when they created the reward program. If a Fast Lane purchase did count towards fun perks, they might had assumed a pass holder would buy one ticket rather than buy several in a group and have it credit to his fun perks account. This is if a Fast Lane does count towards the fun perks program. Has a final decision been given to the person in question if this is the case? Has any attempt been to tried to generate some form of "good will" to this person?
-
It all boils down to do Fast Lane tickets count towards fun perks and if so, does it only count one Fast Lane purchase per pass holder? Does it allow you to use your pass towards several Fast Lane purchases that you pay for the entire purchase? It might be as simple as one FL per pass holder per visit.

It is far easier to base the wait time on the ride capacity vs how long it takes to dispatch the ride again. You can get the riders per hour and the number of people the ride's q line holds. This will not take into account any stoppage due to maintenance issues. The best thing to do is get in line rather than try to wait for a slower time during the day.
-
You have to understand that Guest Services handles complaints/compliments/questions for the entire park and depending on the issue or the complexity, the actual department that the complaint relates to is involved in the decision process. For instance if a guest comes to complain about a purchase in one of the shops, a person from the shop might come to decide on a refund and or exchange.
-
The marketing strategy of the fun perks is to get you, the season pass holder, to spend more while in the park. As a reward, they will give you the perks, the greater the spending, the greater the perk. Also as with grocery stores and other retail outlets that offer some sort of a reward program is to use your personal information, minus your name, in tracking your buying habits.

Should this be over at the sob demolition thread?

If they did extend the Haunt into the first weekend of November, they can feature Frosty's evil twin, the snow-man from hell!

Kings Island selling "Beast Backstage Tours" for $25

I had an encounter with that type of a spider, which I did not know about until a couple hours later when the wound became very sore and red. That is a brown recluse spider and it will give a nasty bite. My wound on my thigh took 3 months to heal. -
Better check the fine print. Lots of discounts offered by places saids, offers can not be combined. Check first.

I see a scissor lift sitting beneath Invertigo every day that maintenance uses for making repairs or inspecting the ride.

If private business would think it had a chance of succeeding they would invest their own private capital in this venture.

Officer: What is your name sir? Chong: He vomits all over the place. Cheech: Officer, his name is.. Raaalph! Or as I tell my sister after a night of partying: Praying to the porcelain goddess.

I was inline for a high level IT job with the US Navy after I graduated from The Mount and because of the highly sensitive nature of the job with the Navy in Washington, DC, I had to have an extensive FBI background check before I would be granted a top secret clearance. This is because of the highly classified defense documents that I would come into contact with. We had to be trusted and if we would to disclose this type of information, loosing our job would be the least of our problems.
