See I knew most of that, but, Firehawk (the Flying Dutchmen) was supposed to be in the exact spot that it is now? I really did not know that.

I guess the bottom line is that the cat should not, under any circumstances, be able to get out of its enclosure whether provoked or not. That being said, hopefully the courts will notice that this cat would not have under any other circumstances got out of its enclosure without being provoked to do so, as no other incident had happened prior. In the civil court I hope the zoo pays for the boys care, however, I do hope they get charged criminally as well for negligent behavior. Its kind of like a replay in football, I dont think there is conclusive evidence to say that either party was extremely at fault, as both contributed. Therefore no one party should be punished to the extreme, but both parties should recieve a wake up call. If evidence is pretty inconclusive then both parties should kinof just settle for the already achieved outcome, maybe with a little more punishment in addition. Just nothing too extreme in either case.

That's pretty cool, a little jumbled up though, it could use some color.

So, I just noticed some of the ads at the top of the page and they all look new. Did you (admins) sign some new advertising agreements or are those all through the DDN? They are very low key, and not obnoxious, actually brings a little color to the forums, lol. This is the first site ive been to without an advertising pop-up or noise. Just wanted to bring that up, I was wondering if they are new.

Ahhhh, the American Way. Money and Ambulance Chasers..... Say that all you want, but if I get severly hurt some place, You can bet that I will be selecting the right ambulance chaser for me out of the many that come flocking to my hospital bed. I find it so funny how people always want to dog on "ambulance chasers", sure maybe most of them don't really care about you, and just want their money. However, we have them for a reason, they keep institutions and other organizations in-check and honest. I personally hate spiders a whole lot, but I still recognize their worth and what they have to offer by staying around.

Theme Parks Get Serious In Battle

Yes, we most certainly did. I think this whole slingshot thing will be some key evidence. I don't see the brothers winning their case, I do see Carlos getting his medical bills covered, and I do see the incident being put on the brother's shoulders if they did in fact fling their little slingshot (and any single party is found to be of blame. The zoo will undoubtedly get most if not all of the important animal experts, after all, they are networked to do so. Although the lawyer may be as well, he would have to get Jack Hannah to say that the Tiger would have attacked without being provoked, and Hannah loves animals so I dont see him testifying for Geragos other than in cross exam. This is almost a draw in my mind though, the Zoo had too short of a wall and the brothers had a slingshot, both contributed and end of story. Although i feel those brothers got their just reward if they taunted the tiger.

I think he was saying that the K. Rumbler which is GCI obviously looks like a fun ride, and that all of GCIs coasters look pleasing to him as well as all of the CCI's he has seen. He seems to have plenty of trouble phrasing things in a coherent manner. Basically, he was commenting that K. Rumbler looks nice and looks to be a fun ride.

well, after you have been to the park a while or, have a map, it is easier. But, that is one of the things I dont like about Cedar Point, Some stuff is tucked away, or somewhat hidden on the map, rather than having a midway-spoke design they have things just thrown everywhere. Mainly due to size constraints I would say. Busch Gardens Africa doesnt fall to far from that tree either, it is a beautiful park, and most everything is done right, the themed lands are awesome. Trying to read that park map however is a pain in the rear, and somethings are tucked away a little off the beaten path.

um, WOW!

I was actually wondering that as well Interpreter, life lessons are certainly hard to come by on a message board for many. Speaking of which, if Im not mistaken Shivering Timbers is a Dinn creation by CCI correct? I have been wanting to ride it, it looks quite fun, and very photogenic, how does it ride if you have been (un?)fortunate to ride it?

Then there is that place in Jackson, New Jersey that has not one kids area, not two, not even three, but FOUR....and rumors of a fifth to come in an outyear.... Well you do say that park does many things right, aside from their steep one visit price point (which you have never told me to be wrong or right, just that it costs as much as Disney). I really would like to take a trip out to Gadv, it seems to be one of the keystones of the Six Flags franchise (other than some cleanliness issues, I greatly enjoyed my trip to SFOG which also seems to be one of their nicer parks). It would be great to come across someone that knows the park well and what all to enjoy, at the park sometime, if I am ever able to make it out there.

You're only going to expend additional capital if you need to make said park more attractive to another buyer or to keep the park in your chain. You're not going to move a ride to a park that will be closed or liquidated. Right, I know that, you are the one that stated that adding a used ride didnt bode well for the park, not me. You also stated that since Dominion is getting a used ride that they are in the most jeopardy. This statement contradicts the statement that you just made, What do you mean? Well, you said, . The reason they would do that is to make the park more attractive to buyers, or keep the public at bay and not riot by thinking they still will visit their beloved park for years to come. Its like "spin" in the media. I simply wanted to add another conspiracy theory, that I DO NOT believe in. I stated that the reason they woud do that is the same reason that CF announced they would "remove rides to freshen up the parks appearance at the main gate". Both things could have been done for the same reason. Which I once again DO NOT believe. I was just throwing out another conspiracy theory since we get so many going on here. Which is why I labeled that statement as something that I don't believe.I just wanted to put it out there.

^That, is a very good point. Most parks do have just the one kiddy area from Mickeys toontown to Dr Seus's whimsical world, to Nickolodeon Universe. Maybe more parks should look into having two kids areas. Or at least express travel from one, to the other side of the park.
-
The same reason that you would remove two rides from the front entrance, and say that you are doing it to refreshen the parks appearance? I don't believe that and don't buy into conspiracy theory, so I don't see any correlation to bringing in a used ride and a park going under, a ride is a ride is a ride, and I most certainly will always be back to...ride.

See thats funny, I feel much more secure, comfortable and greatly prefer B&M flyers to the Vekoma flyers. Never having to lay back head first heading to the lift and then looking at the sun up the lift are added bonuses as well.

See, Woofer, that is what scares me, that they would just close Kings Island and liquidate in this worst case scenario. But I still don't believe that would be the course of action. Look at how much the Paramount parks garnered from Cedar Fair, Everyones thought was, "woah they overpaid". But if you just sell off assets to liquidate you get mediocre market value from your rides. Three of them which are wooden coasters which won't be relocated, and some older steel coasters, the rest are family rides. I dont think the threat of a competitor turning around a park against them, would keep CF from gaining the added capital that comes from the sales of not just rides, but a fully functioning business sans staffing. Personally, I would risk the competition and get all the cash that I can from a sale, afterall, I can reinvest that cash and keepaway the competition. Maybe even buy the park back at a much later date!

The Buy Now, Pay Later Deal is Almost History!
Cory Butcher replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
Overdoing it? They are quite possibly trying to overdue it, get their name and mark throughout the park quickly. There is no overdoing it, aside from branding your name to everything and having it negatively affect your other assets if something bad happens at one of your parks. The only thing that limits the removal of all things paramount, is time and resources. -
I don't find it too interesting, as much as people want to get on screamscape for all the rumors that are posted, once news has been announced, Screamscape posts that as well, as official news from the parks. This makes screamscape a secondary source, that the LA Times felt so compelled to use. nothing interesting here, just the usual practice of finding a source that has the info you want and using it in an article.

For my friend Ronny, haha Two Roos My mom is painting a room in our house the same colors as this bird, so I took a photo for her! I leave you with this, one of my top 5.
