  1. I was looking at the FearFest web site, and I saw a tab for their Hearse. http://www1.cedarfair.com/kingsisland/spec...fest/index.html Does anyone know what this is all about?
  2. I don't know which ride is themed better. TRTR is a crappy ride that was improved immensely by its theming, whereas Maverick doesn't really need it, but is that much better because CP took the time to do it.
  3. From the FearFest web site: PARENTAL DISCRETION IS ADVISED FOR CHILDREN UNDER 13. See. For everyone.
  4. ^They guarantee that, eh? I'm going to have to go ahead and say no to that. They're safe, no doubt about it. But there's never a "guarantee" that brakes are going to work properly. Right, Magnum XL-200?
  5. Because Webster's Dictionary really applies to ride names... Maverick is themed like a wild horse ride, and if you've been on it, you can see that they did a great job with it. And common sense will tell you that if you keep getting steel mechanisms wet every day, it's going to corrode. A round of applause for Paramount and Huss on this one.
  6. ^^ Yeah wow. That logo is dead on SOB. How sad. If CF was planning on using the same name for several of its parks, why not expand the Halloweekends name from CP? I think that's a pretty decent name. It appeals to the whole family, rather than just the scare-lovers.
  7. I'm sorry but TRTR never EVER made KI (PKI) look good. How does another ugly warehouse-looking building make it look good? The ride itself was mediocre at best. After the first ride, there's really not much to look forward to. And no one can blame CF's maintenance staff for what happened to the ride. People make it sound like CF went in and broke the ride themselves. Not the case. It's just an aging ride that broke down big time after years of wear and tear. Maverick is a completely different story. The ride is beautifully themed along the perimeter of the park, and will be fun every time you ride it.
  8. If I make a hamburger that is 70% lean, and another hamburger that's 90% lean, they are both still hamburgers, right?
  9. ^hahaha Let's do ki a favor and release a couple million termites on SOB. Then we can just call it "food"
  10. I've been going to the park since about 1987 as well. I remember Enchanted Voyage, the potato-sack slide, Skylab, Screamin Demon, and the ivy tunnels. Not to mention a GOOD Winterfest. I didn't really hear about KIC. I posted on Cedar Point Forums for a while, and then the thought occurred to me that there was probably a similar site for KI. Hooray KIC! Also, does anyone remember the battleship game in Kiddie land? I remember there being a thing where kids could pay money to drive small boats with tennis ball cannons around a small pool, and people on the outside could pay money to shoot tennis ball cannons at the boats. I thought that was really funny.

    GE Day

I went to GE Day years ago... probably circa 1997... I can't really remember it too well, but I don't think it was really that crowded. I'm not certain though.
  12. Wicked Twister at CP always has a short line because relative to the other roller coasters, it's not the premier ride in the park. Wheras V2 at Six Flags Great America has 45 minute waits on a regular basis because it's one of their best rides.
  13. For whoever doubts that flume rides can be thrilling: http://www.coasterimage.com/pictures/knott...therrides01.htm
  14. I'll have to ask you guys and ghouls where you'll be haunting when it gets closer to FF. I'm going up and if anyone scares me from here I'll give good reviews haha.
  15. .... In a recent press release, Kings Island has revealed that it intends to change the name of the Son of Beast roller coaster to Son of Beast?????? Sorry. Doesn't make sense.
  16. ^Yeah, it'll be really scary when someone else dies. For the record, though, I miss it a lot too. Flight Commander was fun.
  17. lack of punctuation, hard to read, hate when there are 800 commas in a sentence, not a bad trip report though, have fun next week.
  18. Where did my vote go?? I voted for D and it says 100% voted for A. Cheater!
  19. I like Coasters D and F a lot. The screamin squirrel (F) looks like a TON of fun, but it also looks like there would be serious capacity issues. I bet the line would move TERRIBLY slow. I think an impulse twister (D) would fit really well for KI. Those are very fun coasters. Though they too have slow-moving lines.
  20. ^hahaha don't tell me there's a lemon chill guy on this site too! I post on PointBuzz for Cedar Point as well and they use the "lemon chill guy" thing too.
  21. I'm really jealous TopGun. Awesome Tee.
