^Technically it probably would be cheaper but remember these coasters are built by Vekoma. They have problems building giant invert boomerang coasters, I wouldn't trust them building something like this. I imagine it would be down more than TR:TR, I wonder how consistently the one in Japan operates.

^This poll mentions nothing of removing any rides. It simply talks about new rides. Just because PKI has removed rides in recent years for new rides dosen't mean they will for the next coaster. You have to remember PKI has a lot of room and eventually they'll expand out. Besides, I'd much rather have a new B&M invert then an old small flat and I think most people would agree with that.

Are new pictures coming any time soon?

Roller Coasters of 2005
thejoker8388 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
^I'm not saying taller or faster is better at all. I find lots of slower smaller rides better than some of the monsters. I'm just saying when it comes down to TTD or KK thats just about all that matters considering the speed and height are the only point of the coaster. -
Klockster, Actually the ride works differently than how RCT3 has it work. The one in Asia pulls you up like a normal coaster only at a 90 degree angle. Then onceyou reach the flat part at the top it tilts you and drops you, there is a description of it in RCDB for Gravity Max. I would kind of worry about this though because it is made by Vekoma, I would rather have the B&M invert myself. I think that paramount parks are most likely to see either one of the Top Gun coasters or MTV Soundwave. I say this because at the end of the survey they ask which you'd like best out of the three. This makes me believe that they are really looking at these three ideas for the next coaster. I also found it interesting that when they listed the rides at the end they ask you to number 1 to 5 for your favorites. All the names were listed except the Top Gun:Supersonic was listed just as see saw coaster. This makes me believe that they might be wanting just the coaster idea but still aren't sure about the theme and could maybe give it a Sky Captain theme or WOTW theme for PKI. Its also interesting that it seems the Adam Family coaster is gone. This makes me believe that we'll never see one of these coasters ever installed. Paramount must have not liked the idea or something.

^ I highly doubt it but like I said before who knows and I'll be riding it in May so I'll know for sure if it makes any difference what so ever.
-
Yea I would have to say great job. I have used RCT3 and I know its a lot harder to use than RCT2. I would have to say you did a great job with the coasters so far. I know I couldn't do as well so I gotta give you your props.

Who really cares about the colors. I mean unless its something hideous colors don't matter to me at all, I just care about the ride experience and considering they are the same ride I will like them equally. But who knows there may be a difference I'll be riding maXair in May, but I highly dought it will be any different for Delirium, even though they spin opposite directions.

Even More Italian Job Stunt Track Photos!
thejoker8388 replied to UncleHenry's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I think that may be the entrance, I don't know where else they would put it. On the other side I think there's track, but I haven't seen an ariel shot so there might be room on the other side for an entrance. -
^I'm sure you'll need the expansion pack, not only for the rides, but also because a park PKI's size just simply wouldn't run. With RCT3 as it is right now you'd get in maybe half the rollercoasters and the game would crash and you wouldn't be able to access it anymore. Hopefully the expansion pack fixes this problem.

Roller Coasters of 2005
thejoker8388 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
^I see your point. But from looking at both rides you would have to admit that KK looks as if it will beat TTD in every aspect. TTD was built purely for speed and height and sence KK is faster, taller, better themed, and has the second hill so for a ride that's only purpose is speed I don't see how KK couldn't be better. -
I think I would have to agree with most people saying that PKI will still be number one. I think PC made a huge mistake by not building their SDATHC in the kids area and instead in a different part of the park. If they had built SDATHC in their kids area I think it would be a really close competition.

I was also skeptical at first, but the more and more of the ride I see the cooler and cooler I think it will be. I mean the turns look amazingly sharp, wicked, and thrilling and I think the ride itself will be much more fun than what the anamation made it look like. Its kind of like if you saw the Kingda Ka video, it didn't look that intense, but if you've ever rode TTD you know that Kingda Ka will be a million times more intense than in the animation. Its impossible to do a coaster justice in an animation.

New Italian Job Constuction Photos!
thejoker8388 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
Well looking at these new pictures and PCW's most recent pictures I think that PKI is now ahead in the building of IJ:ST. Most people on here were saying how PCW was so far ahead and how they were going to finish first, but I think most forgot how Canadian winters can be vicious and it was probably vital for them to start before PKI. This year Ohio has had a fairly mild summer and progress seems rapid. Nice pics. -
^ I said some and typically when I go it has longer lines than Adventure Express and racer. Which would make sense because that's the type of roller coaster it is. It's an intermediate ride, therefore it gets medium length lines. Last time I was at PKI the wait was 40 minutes for it, which is ridiculous, but I think it shows that it still has some popularity.

Worlds of Fun 2005

Is Worlds of Fun worth going to? I've heard Mamba is fun but anything else worth riding? -
What Steel coaster do you think will last longest?
thejoker8388 replied to TheSnapper's topic in Kings Island
PKI Punk, in no way do you get tons of air time on MF. It has a little bit of airtime on the two hills but nothing really big, MF is just built for speed. If you want airtime ride any of the Superman hypercoasters at the Six Flag parks, once you ride them you'll then truely know what airtime is. -
I really don't see it being Top Gun. You guys would be surprized how long the line usually is for it, its lines are a lot longer than some other coasters. I think it's a great coaster for people that want something bigger than Beastie but still aren't ready for Beast or SOB.

With PC's nickolodeon expansion it will become the largest nick themed area in any park in the country. With this said, do you feel PC will knock its sister park off of the long held throne of best children's area?
-
^Ha, that sounds a little too much like a Scooby Doo episode to me.

More Track Arrives at the Park
thejoker8388 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I don't see why anyone would care if your just taking pictures of track in the park. I mean your not hurting anything and its' not like theres a secret of what the roller coaster will be so its not exposing anything. If they really cared about anyone taking pictures of the track they would put it inside the park gates. -

Ben why in the world would you prefer TTD. I mean come on KK is taller, faster, better themed and has a second hill for more air. How in the world could you prefer TTD? -

^ I'd have to agree with Familyman on this one. Everyone keeps on telling me Cedar Point has tons and tons of room and that space is no problem at all for them. Everyone keeps on telling me there are pictures showing all this space, I'd love to see them and I've asked several times for someone to show me one of these pictures, but no one ever has. So lets see all of the room and prove me wrong.
