  1. CoasterGeek101...thanks for sharing your opinion. It is appreciated! As a Fearfest/Haunt veteran I couldn't agree more. I have found that with the Haunts no one agrees on which ones are good and which ones are awful. I have also found that a haunt can change from good to bad from moment to moment. There are so many variables involved. In the early evening some scaractors are still getting in the groove...while others come out of the gate at their best. I also think the day you go to the Haunt is a factor...sometimes haunts get better as time goes on...sometimes worse. Ringmaster also mentioned in another post that something as simple as where someone is positioned in the group going through the haunt can change your experience. Haunt trip reports are my favorites here...especially the photo ones...but I do always take each one of them with a grain of salt....I find them very helpful in planning my trip...but I don't take anyones opionion as gospel*. *The same should not be said for MY trip reports though...you can rest assured that they are 100% accurate!
  2. Jesse, I am so glad you went to the opening night of the haunt...that way we all get to enjoy one of your great trip reports. You do succeed in going to these a little less critical than most of us...me included. I am glad you had a good time...and thanks for sharing all of these pictures! This appears to be pretty much the same display as last year....whicjh means that I can agree with you, it is spectacular! Whoever put this together should be very proud of themselves...it really is first rate!
  3. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts about the Haunt. I look forward to Haunt reports because they are very helpful for me and my family deciding which Haunts are the must hit ones and the ones that we can save until the end in case we run out of time.
  4. Quite a bold statement. I do trust your opinion...so I hope you are not setting me up for a fall.
  5. I first experienced The Tiki Room while I was at Disneyland about 5 years ago...the next year I went to WDW and saw the "Under New..." version. I don't think I could have been considered a "fanboy" for the attraction and I thought the "Under..." was awful compared to the original. I think overall it is a passionate hate for the voice of Gilbert Gottfried!
  6. The park complains about us complaining all the time. (Insert irony) But, since we know that they read this forum, how hard would it be to have someone from the park give us a quick post to explain how the trick-or-treating and pumpkin decorating is going to work and put this whole subject to rest. (Or is it that Snowman has already figured it out and they don't want to confirm it?) OR, maybe they really do enjoy the "complaining" as much as we do!
  7. Avatar, Thanks for sharing the photo. It's to bad (but understandable) that guests can no longer ride up front with the captain. It was one of the more memorable things that I did at WDW.
  8. I don't really consider them dated...and would probably be disappointed if they did get new ones and changed their look.
  9. It never fails to amaze me what kind of haunt ideas you can think of. (Personally my family is always dissapointed that Viking Fury is not open in October...one less ride that the family can all ride together.)
  10. You don't have to be a NASCAR fan to appreciate a good trip report. Thanks for sharing...there are some nice photos there...it brings back some memories of when I used to go to the "Indy Car" time trials when I was younger.
  11. Do you want me to tell you the same thing I have always told my nephews? "It's just somebody just like you with a mask on...there's nothing to be scared of". (Except the lines.) As a side note, here's food for thought: I remember a comedy bit of George Carlin's where he was talking about the day when eventually he could see a "nutcase" with a gun going into a church and start shooting everyone...and that did come to pass...I wonder if the day will come when a nutcase with a knife will sneak into a haunt and start hacking people up before anyone realizes that it's not fake. (Now you can be scared again! )
  12. I was hoping that the Kings Island segment would be funny enough for Joel on The Soup to make fun of it...but it wasn't. By the way...for those who want to skip ahead to the main KI spot it's at 2:50.
  13. Upon seeing that RaptorGuy was the most recent poster in this thread, I thought to myself: "I wonder if RaptorGuy will somehow find a way of entertaining me about Kings Island or Honda in an otherwise very cut-and-dry thread?"
  14. Maybe there's a larger group of people who have a waterpark entrance fetish than you realize.
  15. I'm surprised that so many people don't like the name Soak City. I think it is a LOT more "kid friendly" than Boomerang Bay. I know that if I were a kid and someone asked me if I wanted to go to Boomerang Bay or Soak City I would choose Soak City in a heartbeat!
  16. The promise of 1,000 chairs and more shade excites someone like me who doesn't do the waterpark...but is the designated "watcher of all of everyone's stuff" while they are having a good time! (I DO have my fingers crossed that CF doesn't dissapoint me like Paramount did when THEY promised more shade though.)
  17. You can't necessarily judge the popularity by the size of the crowd...a couple of my family members went in and sat during one of the "performances" just to get warmed up.
  18. I think it's a given you will be working after school!
  19. Just like Avatar...I can find good things & bad things with each of the park's owners. I could easily list 5 things that CF has done that I don't like...but the same goes for Paramount.
  20. It's the end of the world as we know it...AZ and I finally agree on something! (And I feel fine.)
  21. Just wanted to say again that I have been enjoying your report very much!
  22. I have faith that you could say it...it just wouldn't be true.
