  1. Maybe she thought it was a command then.
  2. There is a chance that she might have an obsessive compulsive disorder.
  3. ^ I was heading to Florida to WDW on a plane out of Indy...it was a few days before the Colts were going to be in the Super Bowl. I swear, I think my family were about the only ones on that plane not going to the Super Bowl...everyone was wearing Colts' jerseys & hats...and when we got to Disney you couldn't shake a stick without hitting someone with a Colts' piece of clothing on. It was like night & day after they lost...instead of Colts' clothing it was Saints' stuff everywhere. On the plane ride back hardly anyone was sporting their Colts stuff...that is why I have never liked organized sports...it's too much about winning and not about the sport.
  4. I do not know what features the new skin brings...but I hope it allows for rectangle avatars...everyone having the exact same outined square shape is a bit boring. I also hope the "Who's celebrating a birthday" feature returns. It's also nice to have some new emoticons...but the one I use the most , the smiley face seems just a bit TOO happy!
  5. I can only answer for myself...and my answer would be that if the systems at those parks are the same as Fast Lane, yes I have a distaste for them. 2 (or more) wrongs do not make a right.
  6. Preferred parking does not bother me one little bit either because no one is jumping ahead of me in line...they are waiting their turn just like me...they just happen to be purchasing a higher quality parking place. (Kind of like a nicer hotel room.) But wouldn't they be getting to the gate quicker than you, which would allow them to possibly get the last chair available in BB, and might also allow them to get into line before you for your favorite BB ride? I don't "do" Boomerang Bay...so no, beating me to my favorite BB ride is an absolute impossibility. I am wondering...have my posts become so interesting to you that you are now resorting to playing devil's advocate coming up with "flaws" in a system that neither I nor you actually believe exist?!! It truly does make my day knowing that I am at least keeping you entertained...I will try and keep up the quality posts that you expect!
  7. Beatle...thanks for sharing. I liked a few of his lines quite a bit but this was my favorite:
  8. hoi polloi...I don't like to have to look up words just to understand a post!
  9. gad198...a very nice post!
  10. Speaking from experience...the older you get the faster the summers seem to go by. On the plus side I no longer count down the days until I have to go back to school...back in the day there was nothing more depressing than seeing that first back to school sale flyer.
  11. Well lets hope they weren't rude enough to attempt to cut in front of any of the Fast Laners! Edit: This just gave me an idea...if Fast Lane DOES go over, maybe the park could develop FastER Lane next year where someone could pay an additional $25.00 to cut step ahead of the Fast Laners...it could be aimed at people who have traveled from out of the country.
  12. But back before the park had their current coaster rain policy that made a trip even better to thin out the crowds...and as for snow...one of my fondest memories was when it was SO cold and snowed a little bit that we eventually went back to our campground cabin to have some hot chocolate and warm up for our next round! Truly good times.
  13. Honestly the only scary about Halloween Haunt IS the crowds! I am not doubting jdawg's statement...but I will just say that in all my years of going to Fearfest/Halloween Haunt I would NEVER pick a Saturday over a Friday.
  14. In a way I think this may be a blessing in disguise for RaptorGuy...now he doesn't have to hold back, he can really tell us what he thinks! In all seriousness though I think it is a shame that this has happened but I can see where ACE are coming from. Edit: I would also like to add that I can not ever remember RaptorGuy EVER mentioning here on the board that he was associated with ACE.
  15. Careful what you wish for...it could end up to be another "butcher cover".
  16. Here is another old article that I had sitting around. This is from a Holiday Inn magazine. It has a date of July/August 1972 on one of the pages. (I "chopped it up" to make it is easier to read.) Costumes certainly have come along way...I think if I saw this Yogi heading for me I would be like Grandpa Simpson..."KILL IT, KILL IT!" What I wouldn't give to be able to go back in time for a day to experience the park as it was described in this article…I think it's safe to say that we will never see "Injun Country" ever revived at the park again!
  17. Funniest line I have read here in a LONG time! (I wish I would have caught it!) My goodness...and she was still alive?! When I was on The Racer recently someone in the front seat of the train next to me had their cell phone out and apparently planning on doing a POV...from about half way up the hill the ride op just kept repeating "Please put your cell phone away....please put your cell phone away....please put your cell phone away...." this guy wasn't the brighest bulb, it took him awhile to realize they meant him and he did put it away. <I just noticed...this is my park opening post...1972!
  18. TOPGUN1993, Thanks for explaining the system. When I was there on July 24th it was working like that...I also liked it. I was not asssigned a seat...just "held bacK' until the next train left. It was a lot more easy picking a seat so that my nephews and I could ride together. It was also nice not having a ton of people squishing up against me right before my ride! Did Oswald act alone? Was Marilyn murdered? Who really was the walrus? How many licks DOES it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop?...shall I keep going?
  19. AZ Kinda Guy...if that is correct...and I am not saying that it isn't...isn't that proof enough that the Fastlane system DOES affect the "regular" customers. I think that goes against the spiel that the non-Fastlane customers wouldn't even notice a difference...don't you agree?
  20. There's a perfectly good reason why they are assigning seats on The Beast but you are too ACER-minded to realize what it is. windshawne took the words right out of my mouth...please enlighten we the stupid ones what that reason might be...and why the park has not had to do it in the past even when The Beast was the king of the park. Anxiously awaiting your wisdom.
  21. Preferred parking does not bother me one little bit either because no one is jumping ahead of me in line...they are waiting their turn just like me...they just happen to be purchasing a higher quality parking place. (Kind of like a nicer hotel room.)
  22. Nice trip report...I am enjoying it very much! (I also stayed at Coronado Springs a few years ago...I think it might be my favorite place that I have stayed at at WDW.)
  23. I've never seen one of those...how about posting a photo...or e-mailing me one!
  24. GYK...a well thought out passionate post...but I do have to point out that just as RaptorGuy can't seem to ignore things that bug him in the park you can't seem to ignore his posts! (You must choose your attitude. )
  25. A nice sentimental memory. Lately my nephews are always good at getting a "shoulder ride" out to the resort bus...so the lot doesn't seem that big to them...yet! P.S. We always tried to get in Scooby's lot.
