Unless one of the performers singles you out, stands in your way, and berates you until you sing into their microphone, I'm not sure how you can reasonably compare these two scenarios. The point I was trying to make was that even though a person may choose a certain job it doesn't mean that they necesarilly should have to expect rude behavior...and if they do get it I can sympathize with their situation. If I think a performer is not good do I have the right to boo him/her...after all they took the job, they knew it could happen...are they supposed to accept that that is part of the job? Personally I say no, a person has every right to expect a little courtesy. I am not denying that you might run into an overly aggressive photographer...I am only saying that I think there are reasons behind the behavior that I can understand and forgive.

^That's nicely filmed...thanks for sharing! -
Oh you optimists! Thanks for sharing...it sounds like you had a good time.

Yes I read the context of your post...did you read the posts from the people who actually do the job in the thread that I linked to? It HAS to get depressing doing a job where at least half of the people you are dealing with are "rude". In the past, before I found out that it helps them out by just letting them take my picture...a simple smile and a no thank you never seemed to fail "parting the waves". So...you are saying that because someone chose to do a job they have to put up with whatever behavior someone in the public deems appropriate? I will remember that the next time a show performer doesn't live up to MY expectations. That is true...but if you read the thread I linked to you will see that it is as simple as a high school school kid who needs a summer job and being a Keyhole photographer SEEMED like a good idea...until the public beats down their spirit.

There is not a person out there that hates to have his photo taken more than me...but you know what, I actually let the Keyhole photographers take my photo! I would NEVER buy a photo with me in it...but it is only helping them out...so what's the harm. (And it is usually faster than trying to turn them down.) If you read this (old) topic you may have a little more pity for the people who are doing this job. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18051&hl=photographer&st=0 P.S. I DO buy some photos...but I always make sure it is one that I was not in.

Edited to save space.

I can't say as I can remember ever eating the blue ice cream...I like vanilla...and judging by some of the comments I may have missed my chance!

The Monster & Scrambler are in it quite a bit...and of course The Eiffel Tower.

I know the park would never do it...but wouldn't it be fun that after they had done all of the safety tests they still put up a sign that stated something to the affect: "This ride has not been fully tested for safety...ride at your own risk". I think we would then see who the REAL thrillseekers in this world were...I know I wouldn't qualify. -
^ I think you are half kidding with the $2.00 comment...but you do have to realize that when you purchase a photo you are not just paying for the actual picture...the employee's hourly wage and the camera(s) upkeep is a couple of the things figured into the cost. I have stated this before...I think the on-ride photos are one of my favorite park souvenirs...they never fail to bring back a good memory. I think the price is very fair. P.S. Yes I own one of the flash drives!

I can complain about some high prices in the park...but I find the photo prices to be very fair.

Can you identify suspect in Kings Island assault?

Am I the only one who has had a whole restroom at the park all to myself...or just maybe one other person on several occasions? Same here...I can't even imagine how this type of an incident scars a kid. -

Gator, Thank you for summing up my feelings exactly. It is a sad situation indeed. -
I remember last year while reading everyone's posts how much fun it was...so this year I am in!
-
^I know that is accurate...I just found his wording humorous.

They designed it to valley?

Thanks for the report...and the pictures! I especially liked the one of the dinosaur facing the camera with WindSeeker in the background...I thought it turned out nice.

A very good trip report...I love your sense of humor!

Welcome CPKIMAX! Thanks for your input. I will say that saying that Skyscreamer is "only" 60 feet shorter is an understatement though...in my opinion 60 feet is quite a difference. I am not thrilled with heights...so I can picture WindSeeker giving me a little bit of a scare. -

Back OFF topic: If a gyro drop drops in a park and no one is around to hear it... -
Kawana, First off, it's nice to see you here on the board again! I can see where you are coming from...I would have hated to waste my time in line. Like you have said it's the inconsistency that is the frustrating part. The sad thing is, I don't think your comments will have the desired effect that you are hoping for. At my age I have learned that usually the opposite is true...instead of the park reading this and telling it's employees to help get that extra click...I see it more of a chance that a blanket policy of them telling their employees not to even attempt to get that extra click just so that there is consistency at each ride that the customer can count on. Sometimes it's better just to be grateful for the employees who are willing to go that extra mile...but not to expect it. Hopefully I will see you at a coaster event at the park...if they have one.
