Well, if anyone ever starts a "You know you're a Trekkie" thread we know who will be posting in it!

We are at $4.29 a gallon as of yesterday in my town.

^Even if they are turned on most of the time it still boggles my mind why only most of the time? Can the park really assess the days they expect someone to try and bring in a weapon? If they are concerned enough to have them why do they choose to throw caution in the wind on such days as opening day? I must have missed the memo that "nutcases" avoid opening days due to the larger crowds. Just 2 days ago we had a shooting in the foodcourt of one of our local malls...and believe me, it is a nice mall.

At least you realize it was meant as a joke. I knew when I posted it I was risking offending someone...sorry. I do have sympathy for the homeless people who have no choice in the matter...at tax time every year I only donate money to 3 causes, helping the homeless, conserving wildlife and fighting child abuse. Once again...I am sorry that I offended you.

^ Boy, that is one nice post. There is nothing I can say that could come close to say how I feel after reading it. You paint such a nice quaint picture of Holiday World it makes jealous. I would hope not only that your post remains, but some of the higher ups at the park see it. It is a well written post that should be taken seriously. Thank you for taking the time to write it. P.S. When a long time member of this site makes a statement like this it makes me sad. I say this because I trust your opinion and I wonder what it is that Holiday World is doing that much better to make you feel that way...I hate to see the park I love being surpassed. In the end though I hope it makes Kings Island try harder. (I really have to make it to Holiday World!)

^I saw The Razor's Edge tour...the Thunderstruck opening will always be one of my more memorable concert events! I would love for this to be true...but i'm not sure if it is. Years ago on this site a poster who claimed to have been there said that one of the new owners chucked about everything that wasn't nailed down when they took over.

^From what I have learned here in the past it seemed to be a combination of 3 things. It was a pain to keep clean because guests would throw their litter in it, it began to stink...and it became a mosquito breeding ground.
