  1. ^This time it was I who held my fingers!
  2. Yes...I read over that little "fact"...but on the other hand, the park back then hyped that the height was 112 feet high for Rick's walk, not 60...so what will the 262 foot height REALLY be?
  3. I just looked at the park's e-mail about the walk... it appears that it will be about the same set-up as last time, from the tower to the entrance. I was hoping for something a little different...but on the other hand since I am going to KIC Day the following week I now won't have to drive back and forth 2 weekends straight.
  4. I wonder if your computer would crash if you chose Action Zone because of it's theming?
  5. The number sounds astronomical but it really isn't that hard to take that many photos...especially if you have a decent sized family or a few friends or if you love the park's scenery. (On some of KI's special event days I have taken over 500 in a day...but most of them turn out to be "throwaways"....but my theory is at least I have it in case I want it.) I have no doubt TOPGUN has taken that many photos.
  6. When I read your comment I immediately thought of one of my favorite lines from a movie...and it's a Disney movie no less..."Life is a rum go, guv'nor, and that's the truth." (It's from Mary Poppins) I would like to be able to use this line in "real" life but the situation never seems to arise.
  7. KeyholeSupervisor, I will assume that because of your user name that you truly are a supervisor...and if that is the case I would just like to say that I hope the poster "keyholephoto24" does not get into any trouble for posting his thoughts...with the exception of the few "bad" words I think his post actually helped people understand the job a little bit more PLUS I think it could actually help your department take a few more photos. My family usually just walk on by...but now I will make it an effort to let them take a photo, and who knows I may actually purchase it. (I have done that in the past...but not too often...I usually purchase the Scooby photos in NU.) Keep up the good work!
  8. ^What...nothing about the world's smallest violin
  9. I agree...I didn't take his post that bad...I found it very enlightening and I have sympathy for what seems to be a lot harder job than I envisioned.
  10. You certainly get around to a lot of different places...do you even remember what your home looks like?!
  11. Nice report...and nice Coney pictures. (I have yet to make it to Coney yet.) It surprises me that it had been 15 years since your last night-time Beast ride!
  12. With a Platinum Pass I would assume that you qualify for the Gold Pass discount for the BBQ meal...which is $9.99...and it is easily worth that. (You do have to wait until 3:00 to eat though.) And I can't resist answering question #4 either...my answer is "sucks". By the way, welcome to the site!
  13. I am the first to admit I am NOT an amusement park fanatic...I am a Kings Island fanatic...and with that said I had NO idea that a place called Silver Dollar City still existed...I kid you not, I thought it was a LONG extinct tourist attraction...I remember seeing it on The Beverly Hillbillies years and years ago...and haven't heard about it anywhere else...it sure has come a long way! Thanks for enlightening me!
  14. Your trip reports are always very special to read...I am glad that you post them. Your trip sounds incredible...I am so happy that you and your sons share a common passion. I also wanted to say that I like your TTD cloud shot...very nice! I think this is an understatement!
  15. Zach, Yet another great trip report...and some really impressive photos! This statement blew me away...I didn't expect Diamondback to be pushed out of your #1 slot so fast! I have been wanting to make the trek to Holiday World JUST for Voyage...but so far I haven't made it...I really have to make an effort now! See ya, J.D.
  16. Jesse, I'm glad that you & your family had a good 4th! I like your close-up fireworks photos...especially the one that you posted in the other 4th Of July thread! (Some of my favorite photos that I have taken were the "accidents".)
  17. Probably one of the most depressing trip reports that I have read on here. (I'm surprised that you wanted to type it out and re-live it all!) The pictures are great...thanks for sharing! P.S. there is something wrong when you can't even post John Han****'s name without it being censored.
  18. I'm glad you had a good time...Happy Birthday!
  19. But what about the price you pay for looking like a fool for even riding it now? Yes, yes it is!
  20. Thanks for yet another good report! I haven't seen those kiddie handcars since I was a kid...and that's been a (really) long tiime!
  21. Another interesting report...thanks for sharing.
  22. Ryan, I sincerely thank you for taking me up on my request...I was curious, and I like your response. Thanks again, J.D.
  23. Thanks for sharing the pictures...they bring back some good memories!
  24. Once again...I like that you are enthusiastic enough about the park where you care to do these...I think the new edition is better than the first...so if you keep up that trend this should evolve very nicely!
  25. Ryan, After reading the "negatives" of Paramount...would you be up for sharing about 3 things that YOU personally think that they did better than CF...or are there any in your opinion? Just curious...really.
