Absolute WORST park-going experience of my life!
standbyme replied to IBEW_Sparky's topic in Trip Reports
Maybe it was a VERY nice parking spot...just like this one that sold this week: http://www.wcpo.com/content/news/saywhat/s...QA.cspx?rss=703 -
I will add my name (and everyone in my family) to the list of people who miss the "classy" music on International Street...that area hasn't been the same since. I would also like to say that another one of the Paramount things I miss most is the dynamic team of Jeff & Maureen...when they would oversell a new attraction I didn't half mind because they were so nice!
-
A fun report to read...very personable...and some good pictures! Thanks for sharing.
-
^Well, you got me there...I would be hard-pressed to pick which of those two I did find the least plausable! (I do think I lean towards someone swinging on vines that can keep pace with a speeding vehicle though.) I think we have now hijacked this thread enough where it will be moved to the "Off-Topic" section!

Wasn't that the truth. I still can't get over the fact that Harrison Ford kept saying for years that he would only do another one if he was presented with a "good" script...
-
I am glad you had a change of heart sooner than later...like you said, life IS too short. I wouldn't be surprised at all if your original Trip Report wasn't noticed by the park management and DID make a difference...I think it generated a lot of good opinions.
-
Now all we need are 2 new members, Beast197 & Beast979 and we can have complete confusion!
-
Sean, A very good report...I feel your pain when you have to follow behind Jesse's report! You DID succeed in coming up with some good stuff that he didn't mention though! I'm glad you guys had a great time.
-
Just to prove your poll correct, yes I read your trip report! Thanks for taking the time to post it.
-
^Wow! You haven't made it to the park yet this season...that's a surprise! Nice trip report Nick...and some great photos...this is my favorite!
-
As always, a great/fun trip report! (As if I expected anything else.) I think my favorite shots are the dashboard cam shots...it's kind of like Sean's own personal On-Ride Photo service...do they come with their own cardboard frame? (I am curious, were they taken with a timer?) I'm glad you you all had a good time...and it's refreshing to know that there is still a place where rapists, killers and reckless drivers can go where they feel accepted!

Unless of course it was the same writer using a different pen name writing the article about an author being fired for inventing stories!

An interesting poll…I voted “yes, i think there interesting”. The Trip Report section is one of my favorite areas of this site…nothing like living vicariously thru others! I have also found it puzzling that some (in my opinion) good trip reports do not get noticed while other lesser ones (once again, in my opinion) get tons of comments…who can figure? I TRY to leave a comment on any of the reports that I read…I think that is the least I can do after someone has taken so much time to type them out. I will say that the ones that I find the most interesting are the ones that are based around something “different” that happened to the writer at the park that day…the ones that “bore me” are the ones that simply state how many times that someone rode each ride…I could “invent” a report like that from my home here in Illinois without even going. (The exception to this rule is if someone marathoned a ride…that can be interesting.) I think it goes without saying that Photo Reports are my favorite…but even ones without them can be great…and just like I have favorite recording artists, I have favorite Trip Report authors…people that you just know wouldn’t post a bad report! I believe it was Jesse/Avatar who posted a long time ago an observation that I also unfortunately find to be true…a negative report gets more response than a positive one…which I find sad. So, to anyone who takes the time to write up a report, thanks…and if you don’t get many replies don’t take it personal!

I'm just trying to beat The Interpreter by pointing out this line! (And don't get me wrong, I agree with everything that you have posted on the subject.)

Is that a freudian slip? You raise/educate your kids...you train your dog! -

The windshawne, Interpreter & auge.dog posts are all very interesting perspectives...it would be an interesting debate between you "guys"...maybe that could be an event at the next KIC Blues Party. -
Were you required to sign a liability waiver?

^Everybody has a breaking point when they say to themselves "Enough's enough"...just like you must have felt when you posted your reply! -
I look forward to seeing your photos. Even though I do not consider myself claustrophobic, some of the things you describe I don't think I would enjoy...the 1 foot clearance crawlspace, the "Birth Canal"...I think I would get a little freaked out! Thanks for posting!

I find it amusing that it is not allowed to answer certain park questions on here...but recommending medications, no problem! (I'm not a doctor, but I play one on KIC.) (Yes this is a joke...I am not serious.)

OHIO: a picture book to remember her by. Ft Kings Island.

Thanks for posting the pictures! I also prefer having the shade trees...it may not be as picturesque with them all full grown...but it IS nice when you are sitting under them on a hot day. Many a time I will just sit on a chair watching the fountain while waiting for a family member to finish shopping at The Emporium, the trees make it not only bearable, but enjoyable.
