good point, but i still want it to open soon... heh they wouldnt open it the 1 year anniversary of the acident, for fear of bad press id think, hopefully july 4th but who knows?

mm, i would really like to ride it with the lights on, they should have one car a day in which they do so, and you sign up for it at the beginning of the day or whatnot. maybe one day a month... for like half a day. also, if you look at The Beastbuzz pictures i think 05 on here, they have tons of pictures of inside Flight of Fear, including the king cobra cars, they are really neat.

heh, one time a while back, as our car was pulling into The Vortex station, some idiot throwing gummy bears hit me with one. i was not happy about it. it was all gooey, and looked like someone spit it out of their mouth and then let dry for later use... gross.... this was right before we got to the station, they were apparently in the que line that goes over the station.

I was wondering how and when do they allow people if they do at all to ride the Flight of Fear with the lights on. My friend was talking about how when he rode it once it was lights on for one reason or another, and it sounds like a neat experience to have done. i was wondering why do they do this? do they do it when it malfunctions, or like a special day once a month, or randomly, or what. i really want to ride it with the lights on...

heh not only that, but also, i dont know how good communication between the different employees at Kings Island is. Id bet that if it was open today, the customer service people wouldnt know till prolly tomorrow or later on today, or whenever it opened.

boy i hope its open. i doubt it, but you never know. if anyone knows that would be great. someone could even call the park or something.

you know i think we have had enough trouble with movie themed rides in the past under paramounts reign. i say we have all original rides with original ideas for the next ten years at least. unless they want to remake The Bat with updated braking systems and banking. but that would just be not original, not based on a movie. however it would be amazing i would think.

when i hear people are riding it, ill beleive it. i hope it opens tomorrow, but i have some serious doubts....

heh, wish their prizes were as good as back in the day, my dad always talks about how when he was a teen, he won a bike at the milk bottle toss game. to this day, he hasnt won it again, a theyve obviously made it harder to win. also, some people but season passes, just for the purpose of getting those stuffed animals. there was this guy who always had those huge stuffed animals, along with video games in the flea market. one day at Kings Island last year i saw him and his crew walking away with like 3 a piece of those stuffed animals. he had people that would win the games a lot of the time, and would get those, and sell them at his flea market shop. he was selling them for 25 bucks a pop. people have demands for them too... he even had requests for certain animals. i talked to him next time at the flea market about it as he was gone once i noticed the guy.

Firehawk was not brand new... it was just taken from another park... and it was in ohio, so it didnt have to worry about the ohio safety testers being on them about that ride. but who knows, i sure hope it opens soon...

heh red and blue cars.... hope they dont plan to make it like its The Racers with just a little more track.... lol

yes, i would like to see the collection. i posted my old buttons that i had in another thread yesterday. i wonder if you know anything about them? i know only what i can see on the button. speculation after that.

whoah! i just noticed that too, heh my digital camera sucks, but yeah its shades of blue, yours is brown. so they are different. but yeah, yogi is light shades of blue, not brown like yours. this pin is from 1981, unlike The Beast ones which are from 1979 at least from the copyright...

that yogi one is the one i have, but The Beast one is not. mine is the size of the yogi one, and has more black on the outer section of it because of that. ill have to post pics of the buttons. heh, i only payed 25 cents a piece for them and just wanna know what they are worth. they look pretty neat to me, especially the i rode The Beast one. now if only it was a i rode The Bat...

so today i went out to the caesars creek flea market, and found some interesting Kings Island memorabilia... a The Beast pin with the logo, which still had the old Kings Island sticker on the back, 89 cents. also, a very interesting button. it has the same The Beast logo, and says i rode it! at the top, and then at the bottom a small Kings Island original logo. it has a copyright of 1979 on the rim of the button. i want to know wen you could get the button, like was it something for the opening year only or could you get it for a few seasons? i really cant find any info on it. i also found a blue yogi bear in teh middle with the original Kings Island logo button as well. it was pretty neat.

you know, headrests do tend to weigh a bit, they are keeping as little wight to the cars as possible i would imagine thats why they have no headrests...

only time will tell. heh, but they would know how beat up by how badly beat up them silly test dummies they use are. heh, for some reason i would find it amusing to watch the test runs and see a test dummy fly out of the car. but i wouldnt want that to happen as that wouldnt be good, just hilarious.

eat at that east of chicago pizza buffet there by Cedar Point! that was my favorite. other than that idk, havent been to anything else but that.
