haha ive seen one pair of cargo shorts for women, but that was a while ago, so id doubt anyone would have them. they just dont make them.

lol i noticed that too, they made me take the backpack on the ride, but it was also by who was running the thing. the first crew wouldnt let me, but later on they let me put it in the bin.

rainy or chancy days and wednesdays are perfect days to go. the rain wards off lots of people, and there already wouldnt be that many people there on a wednesday... it should be perfect! im going myself (crosses fingers) thursday, pending a phone call.

i dont think those trains are doing so hot with SOB, as the red train had issues before the week shutdown of the ride, and now the blue one seems to be troubled.

lol thats funny, i went to chuckecheeses, and they had a virtual coaster and i rode thunderbolt, and i was alone.

lol just another reason not to go on weekends... but thats good the public recieves the ride well after its accident... im def going once this week and will ride sob a lot of times... lol

yeah, best time to ride The Beast imo, after the fireworks have gone off... and everyones left for the most part. the middle of the week is all good for trips to ki though, as a rule i go tuesdays through thursdays only, as they tend to be the least crowded, sometimes not crowded at all, more like a healthy conglomeration of people that keep the lines to a minimum.

oh boy, im excited!!!! im going some day very soon... and yeah im excited now! SOB is my favorite ride in the park.

haha yeah, just noticed that... but it really is. it was awesome. empty, and then we stayed till after the hurricane, and went on a disney cruise. so many people had cancelled that cruise because of the hurricane, it was amazingly empty. it was like half a ghost ship lol. we got free upgrades to the highest class without getting into the "special rooms" like walt disney suite or whatever. and noone was ever hogging the ping pong tables when i wanted to play that trip.

i wonder what they have done with the original trains... lol did they scrap them, put them in storage?

lol why all the speculation, when its just supposedly "general maintenance". it shoudl open very soon, and i will be glad it does. oh boy ill be glad. i loved the Son of Beast when it first came out, the many times i rode it with the loop, and now the loopless coaster with the new trains on the tenth of this month. i will continue to ride it multiple times, just in case something happens to it.

lol we go when there is a hurricane on the horizon. like if we see a hurricane coming near orlando, we head down there... beleive me, the park is empty. we just stay at a hotel with a backup generator... we went to universal studios and the 2 days before the hurricane, were walkon almost everything, especially the second day. we didnt even need our vip pass we had lol

lol heres something i dont get, how Kings Island "knows" the future, and that Firehawk will be open that day. or Son of Beast for that matter. both could very well be not operating on 8/4/07.

i hope it opens way before that... i have tickets good for the 17th through the 27th of this month, and im trying to go on a day when its open...

it has a striking similarity, but i dont think so. that ride was build in 1990. The Bat was gone after 1984, and someone would have noted that the cars were moved. plsu how would they have The Bat head off a original car...

anyone have any status info? i would like to know if it was closed today, or not. also drop zones status as well... i may be heading up there tomorrow... edit: called the park, the lady obviously was retarded, i asked if Son of Beast was open, and she was like yeah its been open for a while now, and im like no it wasnt open last time i checked, and that was after it reopened. she left and checked, and found out in fact that it was not open. this is bad news because its not open, but also good news i think. if they planned to do some work, they would have let the workers all know, so they can say its closed. but they thought it was open, because nothing was said to the contrary.

lol or the fact that you can buy a full regular day ticket for 34.95 on the website now... whod buy a starlight ticket?

i said that, and i said most of the day. i saw the red train operating when i rode it in the afternoon, but it wasnt long until they took it off and tested it again, i saw it as i left... edit: responding to another post... well that would be incorrect. i rode on the first train of the day that day. only the blue train was working at the time. because when we got off, the same people were behind us ready to get on. after we got off, they let the second blue cycle go, and shut the line off. they then tried to test the red train, and it didnt work. they reopened the line shortly after and i rode it again, and it was just the blue train running. i rode it again, and it was still running the blue train around 2ish. later on around 6 the red train was working, minus one row they had security taped off... it was testing again with the red train as i left...

im sure they were melted down, or scrapped. someone has sold a bat head from one of the cars on ebay. or tried to but the reserve hasnt been met. its gone, i wish it wasnt, but it sure is...

hey, at least it ran 3 trains of guests... i think they are jsut making it ready for primetime, so it wil be operatign without delay. it makes sense with it opening, and then closing shortly later. they were prolly jsut gaining silent opinions or something. who knows...

i think the person that said somewhere back that they opened it for a week, then are testing it and doing a few modifications to it so its even better. either that or something unforseeable happened and it will hopefully open soon. i wish we had more answers than questions...

hmm... i guess that website was just full of it, but it had so many pictures, and whatnot that noone else had. and info noone else had, but i guess info was baloney then... as i go off to search for more info, and memorablilia for The Bat...

if you go to the website it mentions at the beginning of that video, you can download the original video, which is of way greater quality. but still not that great. i really want a high quality video of The Bat, it would be sooooo neat.

well then i guess im corrected, but it still doesnt mean the Son of Beast was as well...

thaks for all the info! and ive seen that youtube video, infact i got the video directly from the site that it lists in the video. anyone have any info on memorabilia of The Bat, or pictures or buttons? i really am trying to get memorabilia, and info on it still. i bet a i rode The Bat button would be quite a collectors item!
