sams fun city in pensacola florida. it was 35 bucks for an all day ticket, and it was like a coney island but about 1/4th the size. it had a top cats taxi jam esque rollercoaster, and was themed in rocky and bullwinkle. we went for the unlimited minigold and gokarts, but it was just terrible. they closed early because our family was the only ones left in the whole park, yet it was supposed to be open another 40 minutes or so. by the time we talked to the manager, it was closed! it was not a pleasant experience. then again, we did sink one of their gas powered bumper boats.

im pretty sure he means that they let you in the turnstiles, but you can only stay in that area right front until 10 am. they do this so at ten oclock you can run right to the rides, instead of having to go through the gate wasting time.

anyone else notice that contrary to what i have heard on here, on the back of a platinum pass it reads Park perks and priviledges are only valid at Kings Island and are not valid at any other Cedar Fair, L.P. Park. It should be also noted that it says Halloween Haunt Admission will not be free and is not included with the pass.

so, i went and got my platinum pass processed yesterday, and it had some interesting little info on the back of the card in fine print. "park perks and priviledges are only valid at Kings Island and are not valid at any other Cedar Fair, L.P. park. anyone know if that is just an outdated card or if that is actually true?

i have a question. i got a gold pass for christmas, and have the e-processing papers. can i pay the extra to upgrade that pass to platinum? or am i stuck with a gold pass? i cant find anything on this...

haha hate them things. they frequent a local parking lot for krogers and waffle house. leaving crap everywhere... the waffle house has gotten smart and made little 1 foot posts in the ground about every 12 feet with a orange safety string on them, making it impossible for them to get on the parking lot. quite ingenius if you ask me.

even if The Beast will be open, i really wish to know what is open on barebones night, i really dont want to go if SOB is not open... id be going with a friend who we made a bet that they would have to ride SOB as their first coaster only if it was open. if its not open, they may never ride a coaster... took a lot to get this far. lol

I would wish to know this information as well. if i go I at least want SOB and The Beast open or theres just no point in going...

i hope Coke stays! Vault Rules!!!!!!!!! and Coke is way better than Pepsi. Mountain Dew is not very appealing at all...

dont they allow you to stay out if your working late? i think that you can. i remember hearing about it before... i think the rule is if your out you have to be returning home or something along those lines..

heh, so that explains why they made us walk all the way around on SOB when literally noone was in line on GE day... we still rode it 8 times that day.. it was amazing!it does give a different ride every time...

does anyone know if since they have 400 scareactors this year are they gonna roam the line ques scaring people?

i have a question, actually 2 of them. from what i understand if you buy a pass before november 11th, you get free parking, but only if you have a 2007 pass? how does this work, i think it would be hard to regulate who did and didnt have a pass. I for one am debating on a gold or platinum pass, on the sole issue of whether ill get free parking or not with the gold if i buy before november 11th... and also, can you upgrade your pass? like pay the difference and upgrade from a regular to a gold or gold to platinum? and also, what about the speed lanes, are they coming back next year?

they should set it up and have it for next years KIC day, if there is one that is...

Are you nuts. The lines haven't been that bad all summer unless you could only come on the weekends. I've been to KI 14 times this season and just look at my signautre to see the # of rides I have ridden so far this season. Yes it has been hot, but I only went like one day when it was extremly hot. Sorry not trying to me be mean, but sounds like a poor excuse to not get your money's worth on your SP. I went 3 times this summer. Once on mon, once on tues, and once on wed. The park was extremely busy every time and the lines for everything was 1+ hour except Vortex lol yu seriously have had some bad luck then, ive gone on thursdays 3 times, and all 3 were pretty much nothing over 30 mins with most things being walkon! some good advice is tuesdas and thursdays and not in the middle of july, more mid august or june. those days are really empty...

yes, of which i am going tomorrow! so excited! sorry bout you not being able to go in september though, but they will have Kings Island open again towards the end of this month!

heh, i never really chickened out. i almost did, but my mom and dad barely got me on the SOB. that was my first coaster. i was terrified, it even stopped at the top for 5 mins... after that i wasnt afraid of any coasters... i loved em! lol i actually got to ride it twice in a row, it was back in its first year of operation with one train, so when we got back my sis was gonna ride with my mom, but she chickened out and i took her place. that was a way better second ride! i was not afraid of it anymore...

everytime i have went, i rode in the blue car because the red one was out for maintenance... i wish i could compare between the two. i guess i will get the chance september 8th...

hehe SOB really is different each time. i would at least give it a chance though, i recommend to sit in the front seat.. its much smoother.

some people are fascinated by waiting in line. i however, am not. i only go on very light crowded day to Kings Island, and many other places. i simply avoid busy times, its just not worth it...

yeah, but from what i can tell, its a pretty empty day... they apparently have had extra tickets all the way up to the day of the event at the gate for those who actually work for GE, and it doesnt sell well. Does anyone know if Kings Island and GE have some kind of contract, where say they bought the park out in sptember one weekend for 5 or ten years etc? because the way my mom explained it, GE day isnt that mig of a hit with attendance, and that means they could be losing quite a bit of money on it, as id imagine being closed to the general public means it cost a lot to be like that...

I trust you are going with a group, as otherwise, the park is closed. yes, as a matter of fact i am. my mom works as a temp at elano (apparently part of GE in some form or fashion), so we are going as a family.
