good point, i never realized that. i guess my point was that they arent going to make completely out of the blue days crowded simply due to a promotion. if anything, they would probably just give you a ticket that is good any day in july, or something like that instead of everyone showing up at once... although some days (like apparently yesterday) it simply will be crowded.

one must also note, as much as people thinkCedar Fair doesnt do anything, they did get rid of bring a friend free days, for this very reason... and im pretty sure they wont be doing the bring people for 9.99 days anymore either... also, you can call and find out when big groups are coming, i do this everytime i go, and they will tell you if there are big groups or if they expect it to be crowded due to some concert or event etc.

well i remember reading somewhere that they were extremely vague on purpose before tomb raider came out just to surprise people and to add to the mysterious aspect of the ride...

it has always said that. it says Son of Beast is a forceful, turbulent ride. thats normal, whats odd is that its still playing...

Son of Beasts ride spiel is still able to be heard walking down top guns exit.

although, at least on the blue side, the gum was removed and all the graffiti pressure washed off when i was there this past Wednesday.

red is definitely smoother than the blue, especially if you ride in the back of a car towards the back of the train. i got pretty beat up riding in the next to last car in the back row on the blue side.... i do however think that the blue side gives you a little more airtime... which is why i choose it over the red side.

im gonna say compared to most days, no it will be quite nice. thats laying aside any random big groups coming in or anything of that nature... there is nothing scheduled that day so id say it would be a good day, and its later in the season it tends to die down slowly after july and its a wednesday which arent really crowded to begin with...

fridays are way less packed than saturday evenings... but much depends on the weather. one weekend i went and it was dead, but it was also around 40 degrees with a nasty breeze. the other time it was a little busy, but it was nice in the 60s...

i always get there early and ride Firehawk and Flight of Fear right at ten. there is no line then. last time i went, i walked right on Firehawk, then rode Flight of Fear around 5 times before the line started to grow.

actually, a lot of other people think that too. Kings Island used to have on their website telling you that the light attendance days were tuesday and thursday and what better source than the official website?

normally tuesday, it might be wise to call the park and make sure no major groups are coming on those days though...

just a note, spongebob 3d has been running in 2d at least since last saturday and was running in 2d yesterday still. the 2d movie is pretty degraded, you can see a ton of things you sometimes see in cheap theaters except worse (black lines throughout, and in the middle there are some permanent ones that are very noticeable)

not at 8 oclock it doesnt... if thats even a factor... Edit: aside from that topic, the blue racer (and most likely the red racer, i just didnt ride it to confirm) definately got all the gum and graffiti out of the ending tunnel or whatever you call it. I rode it yesterday.

almost every time i have been there, both have been running from around 1130 to 7 or 8ish, with the rest of the time only the red one being operated. It just doesnt make sense to have both running when there isnt much of a line. Sometimes, though there is a problem, or they are short staffed, etc. The fact is that the red is open a lot more, because it was retracked, and is a bit smoother than the Blue.

most theming does not work, however i have seen the fire and gun fire on most of the time, and one time earlier this year, one of the speakers, in the car behind me that is was on. you could hear it randomly come on. i really didnt even notice it till the end while we were waiting.

no, i do not. as someone whos family goes every year, i can say for sure that it does not overly crowd the park. there are normally around like 3,000 people in the group, however you must remember the fact that most are children, and many can not or chose not to ride the extreme thrill rides. Nick Universe Tends to be crowded, but really it normally isnt that bad of a day. the only bad day we had with the group is the day that Spirit Song was scheduled, like this coming thursday, now that day was packed with concert goers...

im pretty sure they would just have to make the section where there are currently que lines wider, to make Son of Beasts que line accessible. but that would be a serious trek without a power wheelchair, and theyd have to take the wheelchair to the other side of the car to leave it, which would be another nightmare all together.

i can attest to both. My mom broke her foot, and they would let us get on if the line was really short, but otherwise wed have to wait with that paper, and they would only allow up to 3 others with you, not some gigantic group. and Cedar Fair does more than you think, every year since sometime in the peak of the paramount years they have sponsored a kid again (formerly adventures for wish kids) to come to Kings Island one day a year along with their families. That day is tomorrow. Many thought that with Cedar Fair taking over, this would be no longer but they have been more than accommodating just as Paramount was, as was definately shown with the Diamondback First Rider auction this year...

Tuesday and Thursday. i seriously think random groups pick Wednesday, and church groups definitely come on Wednesdays a lot, that i know as i have been with two churches, for quite a few years and gone to Kings Island Wednesday each time...

i was there tuesday. The Racers line was walkon all day when i was there, except at the time you mentioned. we were in line, ready to get on the train. unfortunately, someone tossed their cookies on the red racer, so we ran to the blue racer. we get up there, and then someone looses their marbles there too so the line got backed up on both sides for a bit... nice trip report though! also, i did notice they took a while to reopen. luckily, me and my sis got a nice ride in the rain on beast, the last train before they closed due to rain...

lightning shuts down about anything.... if any comes within 5 miles of the rides, they close. a few flats are open when its just raining... but mainly, Flight of Fear, the crypt, scooby doo, and spongebob 3d are open in the storms, as they are indoor rides.
