i highly doubt they are retheming it, especially after that dampening conversation that i had with whomever called regarding my formal complaint to guest relations... in reality its probably just things that needed to be done to keep it running. I was there saturday, and on two occasions i saw the line exiting due to the ride malfunctioning which was odd, considering its really lame ride cycle it runs nowadays...

well i know thats why they close the waterpark, but i still dont understand why they wouldnt close down white water canyon, or even if they didnt why advertise it being open? its not a big crowd gatherer except maybe on really hot afternoons.

they close the waterpark extra early when really they could probably snake out an extra hour or so, but yet they keep a ride thats pretty much secluded in the back of the woods open till midnight. i just think its odd, that people would want to get soaked on a ride right around closing. i guess maybe they are hoping for increased haystack dryer sales?

i rode the crypt yesterday again, just on the off chance something was different. Of course, it wasnt. I filed a complaint at guest services about it, and voila! i got a call this morning from some supervisor of ride something i dont remember but i told him how the ride was shortened and wasnt themed etc. and he said he knew that. What was interesting, is that he mentioned that their goal for this season is to just make it through the season without being constantly down. We pretty much all know this, but im surprised to have them come out and say it to me. He didnt however sound like anything else was going to be done about it either.

all they did was update the picture. not really that interesting, it still says the ride is much longer, it has cool effects and has 3 rows....

wow i guess i was wrong. i can see where that would be a problem.

im pretty sure the fireworks will be at midnight. why on earth would they have them at ten and have everyone confused thinking the park is closing? the fireworks have always signified that it was time to start heading out. and Kings Islands own statement says the park will have fireworks any day they are open 10pm or later.

just a note of caution even though Firehawk is a pretty amazing ride plan to wait at least an hour for it on saturday, if you can i would ride it first thing of the day if you get there before the park opens at ten.

on spongebob 3d in the action theatre the ride op before he told his usual spiel he said to everyone "on your right there is a yellow eject button, do not click it" a few seconds later... just kidding! i thought it was hilarious, especially the parents with the kids on that side freaking out like dont you dare click that button!

rediculous. i know this is all about business and making money, but id rather not have it extended. the less people with gold passes the more benefits you will have for the morning ERT... ugh.

today was dead empty. great day to spend at the park. too bad the storm killed the last half of the trip...

anyone else think they need to update the crypts page on the official website? i mean it still has tomb raider theming in the picture they use, and it still says they have three rows and that it does 4 flips.... i wish! The Crypt

i dont understand why you listed those events, as none of those are happening on friday...

well they have done what you said and just let you put the wristband wherever, except for my last visit this past friday. i always go to the same booth too, and it was the same workers in the same line where i bought my wristband 2 weeks before. it was at the ice cream shop where you get the blue ice cream not too far from Diamondback and it was the workers on the very end right line.

and the passes have not changed on the front side in years, i think since Cedar Fair has had reign in 2006... and the normal drink wristbands are brown with nothing signifying when you bought them, however on this last visit they asked to put it on my right arm, maybe they are doing alternating hands like the hand stamps thing?

it is friday... there probably wont be near as many people as the next 3 days though... and even though its not an official math and science day, there still will be schools there... i took that little piece from Kings Islands own website. i know a friend of mines school is going that day so yeah... Kings Island offers alternate Math and Science dates to those groups that cannot make it to the three designated days. These dates are: May 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31; June 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 2009

i would expect most rides to be 1-2 hr lines. if you stay all day, you will get quite a few rides in. id get inside the park before it opens, like 9:30 so you dont get stuck getting your tickets or waiting in line for the metal detectors right at opening. hope the weather is at least a chance of rain to keep at least a few people away! if its sunny, it will be a long line for just about anything, its just how things are on saturday. at least you arent going memorial day weekend... have fun though!

i was there today and rode the crypt. this is true, it is shorter. when i got off the ride i knew it was a different program. there was a guy at the end asking me how my ride was, i told him its way to short and didnt flip as much, he agreed and i walked off. only waited like 2 cycles though, i think i got on right as they opened it for the day.

this is interesting, that they do not use the same ink as before. i remember it was that invisible ink, it was a green smiley face... i have a feeling this will be an issue, as there are more than just a few people that leave and go get some food then come back to the park nowadays....

dont they show these under a light that will detectit even if you cant see it normally? i can vaguely remember 2 years ago i did this, and my stamp dissappeared as we went out to taco bell and came back, but under the light you could still see it quite well.

i ditto whomever said it could be staffing issues.. although there were attendants when i went both times (opening day and this past friday) if they werent there, staffing would probably be it. i also saw security personnel checking seats and whatnot along with the fact many rides and places like arcades and eateries were not even open, simply because they didnt have enough staff, especially for the fridays...

tuesday, or thursday hands down. wednesday isnt bad either, but id imagine your church possibly has church that night, i know mine does... and whoever mentioned the groups is a good thing, it would be nice to know if there are large groups going, as i have been there on normally empty days where you have droves of people on a company picnic, or group outing just like yours... also dont go the week of july 4th, that whole week is a mess...

dang! i so missed that... im gonna be going next friday, but there will most likely be a ton of random schools and whatnot there, as its open 10-10. hope the weather is as good as it was last night though, it was amazing out!
