What's the funniest thing you've ever seen at Pki?
jondrewfoo replied to Columbus coasternut's topic in Kings Island
lol earlier this year, we were by Delirium, and it was running its cycle. all the sudden, we see this ping pong ball fly off the ride, hit the festhaus, and roll along the pathway till it stopped rolling in the middle. it was great. i picked up the ping pong ball cause i wanted it, odlly enough it had no scratches or dents on it whatsoever... -
sweet, i hope ge day is dead this year, walk on on a saturday would be so amazing! id have to stay all day and ride SOB about 15 times in a row and all kinds of things. heh, thanks for the info pkiboy, that just made my day, im really excited about that now!

ok i notieced a thread on cwmania about candas wonderland passes. they noted that Cedar Fair confirmed that if you buy your season pass this year for next, that you cant use that pass to get into the park for the remainder of this year. i sure hope that doesnt happen to us... i always wanted to get a pass, and go to fearfest. i cant go to fearfest if i cant get in with the pass i buy until next year, of which i will be in college.

GE also gives you the choice of going saturday or sunday. i would go sunday, if it werent for the fact i have church. i know from experience that sundays are far less crowded.
-
well being the fact that you didnt have anything that stuck to your memory means that it wasnt overly crowded, or empty either...
-
well i would imagine it would not be too crowded either. they dont allow season passers in whatsoever no exceptions, so i bet that would keep lots of people that would otherwise go...
-
im gonna be attending Kings Island on one of the weekends its closed to the general public, because of Ge renting out the park or whatnot. im gonna be going saturday, september 8th. does any workers or people who past attended one of these events know how crowded or not crowded it will be?

heh, is that why your sig is what it is? i just noticed it, i like it lol

i was jsut wondering when they will change the 2007 season passes over to the 2008 gold ones, if they even bring back gold next year... i know it should be in the not so distant future, because its becoming almost pointless to buy a pass this late in the season..

i was pretty little when i rode that, but i sure loved it. it was a massive water ride, that really was just amazing. i miss it, and really dont like Tomb Raider at all, they shouldnt take out something thats a great ride, even if for maintenance issues. i would doubt it ran into near as many issues as Tomb Raider has...
-
well the majority of people love the ride, i personally think its a little rough this year, but theres always a cause, and im sure they will fix it. but im also sure the cause is not the ride sinking into the ground either....
-
lol amen to not removing perfectly good rides... Vortex is jerky, but id imagine something will be done about it and same with The Racers especially. i think this offseason that they will work on the troublesome things with the rides.... thats all they really need to do.
-
yeah man, lose the font. it made me have a little headache just reading it.
-
you know, i dont think days of thunder really makes money for Cedar Fair. everytime i walk by it, noone is on it, or its like two people racing each other. thats it. never hardly any use. those gokarts are always running too, dont you think that the cost of gas would make it actually expensive to keep in the park? honestly, Kings Island was not made for gokarts, unless they are free of course. if you wanna ride gokarts, go elsewhere. i came to Kings Island to ride rollercoasters, not gokarts.

you said it. i had a simple complaint about a ride op on a recent visit to the park. after 4 phone calls, no answers, then a bogus answer and a a reassurance that nothign will be done about the matter pretty much, im starting to think they dont give a flip. i also emailed them a week ago, with no reply. this has been like 4 weeks now... rediculous. used to theyd help you before you even left the park.

Have you ever filled out a positive comment form?

lol thanks for the reassurance, they should really update those... but i emailed them about 4 days ago or so, with no response as of yet... -

does anyone know if the email that they have for general comments/questions and whatnot is still functional. i sent an email to it, but it ended at paramountparks.com... is that still checked at all? -
lol all i know is you gotta have no common sense to think they would actually go for such a major change like that... no way in a million years is that gonna happen.

KI "Volunteer" Program in exchange for free admission?
jondrewfoo replied to tigellinus's topic in Kings Island
dang, i wish they still had that. id work for a season pass, id do a ton of things for a season pass, but yet i still have not had one since i was like a little kid and never even cared i had one... they need to implement a program like that again... for the games, and food service positions. or maybe even the guys who clean up the park, that run around with yellow silly outfits, pushing water with brooms after a good rain and whatnot. -
My Opinion on the Future of Cedar Fair
jondrewfoo replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
lol my family did, but only because it was like 0 degrees outside, and school was cancelled due to snow. that was an amazing little waterpark... especially when noones really there because it was so dang cold outside, noone thought to go there. although the firealarm system did go off unexplicably three times... it was still a good trip. -
Yes but you still have to get in line before 10. They stop operation at 9:50, then at 10:00 they close the line so no more riders may enter. Then at 10:10 or so, they will resume operation to cycle through everybody who is left in line. yes, exactly. i got lucky, i was with a grop just yesterday, and we had to meet at fireworks at ten. we were the last train leaving about 9:48. after that the people had to wait till after fireworks, i was excited. it was great. the lights on the tunnel i heard people talk about were not on, it was pitch black. amazing ride...
