  1. i remember hearing something about that. it was closed opening day, too...
  2. really? im not even going to argue that. rediculous. i really wish everyone grew up with just enough money to survive, because then you can appreciate what really is important and what really isnt no matter how much money you earn later in life.
  3. i think the last one they used on the other side was the hannah barbera video. it wasnt very popular. it honestly was really boring like the new scooby doo cartoons, they are just not the same caliber. Also, i believe there were some fearfest movies on that side in one point. Elvira, i think?
  4. exactly. plus, the only reason they dont use the other side is that it has quite a good capacity, and almost never has more than a 1 cycle wait. they are cannibalizing the other side for parts mainly.
  5. friday. its my birthday, so i dont even have to look it up.
  6. no, i find it one of the few rides that everyone can have a good time on. If we get a few more family friendly rides, then maybe but really that is an awesome attraction. I do however feel like they will change the video after this season, to go along with the ridding of nick, and the fact that the video has more than ran its course.
  7. he did say on a limited budget... seriously can you people not read? never in my life have i paid 16.99 for one person for a meal. I normally spend about 5.50 to go to mcdonalds and get a big mac meal, a southern style chicken meal, or their new angus bacon cheeseburger meal.
  8. and who create threads that dont even make sense. i cant even remember what that thread was, but it made no sense whatsoever. does this site ever issue warnings to people? i really think they should, it really stops flame wars and inappropriate forum behaviors.
  9. actually, you can be under you just have to have parents permission or something like that, but you are correct.
  10. best food option is definately not anywhere in the park if your going cheap. get a handstamp and go pack a lunch, or eat at somewhere like mcds, wendys, popeyes, skyline, bk, taco bell, etc that are all right outside the park. and yeah, sadly they got rid of the unlimited drink wristbands after may which was a real dissapointment. have fun! i may well be there, as thats my birthday!
  11. i think they were going for original old school Woodie to go along with the whole beast aspect of the ride, which most companies probably wouldn't touch at that height which is most likely why they went with such an unknown company.
  12. actually, in theory it sounded good. From everything ive seen from the interviews of the designers and builders they all thought it was going to be the next best coaster out there. They were playing off of The Beast which is such a big draw. The year it opened, they had season pass preview night, and the year before im pretty sure they had that giant box out with noises. It was super hyped, and with great success. I can remember going to it first thing like the second week or so it was open. We arrived when the park opened and walked straight to it, still getting a 45 min wait which was nothing. It really was all good, well that is until it was down for design flaws among many other things. did they ever get any money over the lawsuit from the developer? anyone know?
  13. im hoping it isnt an intamin. from wht i hear, pilgrims plunge has been down a ton....
  14. yeah i think i remember seeing a if they want to reopen it it must get inspected again so that if there are changes they can be approved. something like that. inspections just take a day or two from what it sounds like on the report anyways...
  15. trims! seriously, though... i wouldnt want trims there. it is rough but i like it. And i have no real idea on what they could do there either, maybe someone else does...
  16. it was on the lifthill. they had a maintenance team, releasing the restraints car by car. once a whole row was done, they would send down a maintenance guy in front and one behind the group. thats about it. this, of course does take a serious amount of time. probably like 20-30 mins total.
  17. yeah, i noticed that too. has anyone seen it testing or anything?
  18. you can upgrade from gold to platinum, but you must realize that you have to make another trip back to the park you bought it from (Kings Island) to do the said upgrade. you cant just get to the other park and upgrade it then...
  19. and now we know why the other thread is closed... those deals are not for everyone, and should only be used for Louisville area residents only... although i must admit the get in the night before for ten bucks thing is amazing sounding...
  20. you can get a flat ball if you ask now, although very few opt for it and i agree they should all be flat.
  21. ugh. noone really knows anything other than most likely nick will be gone. just because Cedar Fair has a contract with peanuts for Cedar Point does not mean it has the same contract for Kings Island or any other park. i personally want it to be hannah barbera land, but it really doesnt bother me too much and doesnt have any bearing on what Cedar Fair will decide...
  22. nobody knows. the fact that it isnt supposed to rain however will make it most likely more crowded than most mondays...
  23. it was evacuated between 845 and 9ish so id guess they would just leave it till morning...
  24. I hope this doesnt turn into a oh no coasters are unsafe type thread, but i would really like to know how many times they actually have to evac people down the lift hill, or from a brake run. I saw my first evac on Firehawk today, they had been up there for around and hour sent a maintenance team up and sent them down the lift hill row by row it was pretty neat.
  25. main lockers in the front are unlimited, but are costly like 6 or 8 bucks if i remember corectly. the ones by Firehawk or white water canyon are .75 an opening.
