those people should not be allowed in the park. its not their fault they are by themselves near people. shouldnt have come. they wouldnt have any grounds in court. its dumb. you cant accommadate for every nutjob that ever walks into the park for every ride. its just a act fo life, if you have a condition that may bother you riding rides, too bad, dont go! its not hard. gah that annoys me.

but then why so hush hush on the exact details of the ride not doing the third flip? i mean if it was its too much strain then who cares? i dont. it obviously may be part of it, but something doesnt add up... but apparently im beating a dead horse, as dont think it would be mentioned here if it is so hush hush. maybe im jsut starting some conspircay theory out of boredom... who knows?

gah i liked tomb raider in the beginning, but lately it has really sucked. its lost its themes, and it seems shorter than it used to be... anyone else notice that. i miss the mist and water drops too, and that in its original runs you could choose the row, instead of being directed to one. it seems abruptyl cut off at the end though, anyone else notice that? i really liked it when it came out, and it relaly went downhill when they once youve locked the bar down pull it down tighter once it starts. that hurts the unmentionables for the males riding...

yeah, id say that they didnt put too much planning for longterm use of this ride... hopefully this will keep it going for years to come... somehow i do see unless it stays steady for some while, that it would be torn down eventually if it becomes a problem again. i love this ride, but its a product of something that just wasnt right... hope they keep it though. cant wait for its reopening. ill def be riding it.....

i myself will ride it as soon as it reopens as well, just thought that it would be a bad idea to open it on the anniversary because the press could have a field day with that. i for one enjoy this ride, and so cant wait for it to reopen. hope its open when i go july 10th for sure.

lol that would be hilarious! but id doubt it, just because then that would give the press something to report on. "Son of Beast opens exactly one year after an incident sending 27 passengers to the hospital..." just wouldnt be a great idea dont ya think?

there is a site somewhere, that has all the old ki maps scanned, from the first year. on my old computer i downloaded them all as they were neat to see what it looked like in its beginning... edit: found one. http://www.themeparkbrochures.net/maps/1989/pki1989.html its got it, but that map is kinda silly to me. i mean its just like a layout, but i guess thats how is was back then...

So i have a question. One thing i remember from my trip to Cedar Point last year, was that the theme music was amazing. at least to me it was, i heard plenty of good tunes on the speakers throughout the park. even my favorites the Beach Boys multiple times! wondering if the have transported the music selection to Kings Island yet, because before the music was just paramount crap and was terrible... also, does Cedar Fair ever plan on bringing the portbale dj stations and misting fans to long line attractions at Kings Island, like they have on millenium force? that was amazing. all i remember is frying waiting for the Son of Beast last year in the open sun. they really need those.

meh yeah, tha would suck. i hated disaster transport. it felt like a toboggan ride. so gay. anyways. im kinda sad they dont let your ride the coasters in the sprinkles anymore... if it looked bad id go towards The Beast and hope it would start when i was riding. somehow sprinkles shooting at your face feeling like hail hitting you makes the ride that much more exciting... maybe im just wierd, i like that erkiness of The Beast, and want to ride it in some adverso conditions more, like fog in the early morning, and at night!

you know, just a theory, are there anything different in new max passes and old ones? like did they change after the deadline? how do they tell if it was bought before the deadline or not?

yeah, i like being jerked around, its a amzing rush. heh it sounds so srange but i love it. i like sitting in the back too, where its the worst/best for getting jerked around.

i think this whole ratings system is just going with the times. used to, people knew that the ride would be extreme, and made their own decisions, but we live in a new age. sadly. people try and sue amusement parks for pretty much anything and everything. i think the reason they made all the rollercoasters 5, is so if someone sues for neck/back injury, Cedar Fair will be able to go look here, it states plainly that this an extreme rolelrcoaster, and that you take the risk when riding the said rollercoaster. they should have an unnofficial system among the employees to tell them what people should and shouldnt ride the rides, like when people wonder if its safe or not, they should have dedicated people that know their stuff to help them out. like a hotline or something lol.

heh, i dont remember if i posted this already, but dont think i have. i have gotten stuck on congo falls, for like 30 minutes. it was the only thing worth waiting for (no wait on a day with like 3 hour waits) and we went on it over and over. didnt even have to get off unless someone was in our spot in line. we wentr up and it just got stuck. we were like at the top edge kinda leanin in to the water... so close. but we did get a nice view, adnd there was somethign going on in the timberwolf, dont know what though. also, my first rollercoaster was Son of Beast, and we got stuck at the top of the lift hill for like 3 minutes or so because some disabled person was trying to ride and they had to explain that he was unable to ride... that kinda freaked me out but it was all good. man what a first rollercoaster...

hmm. i found this pic, and its the closest shot of the hurricane cars that are supposedly used for the Son of Beast. wish i could find a better one though.

hehe yeah, it is an amazing group, i go every year to Kings Island with my family. its an amazing time.

heh im going with that same group... but id bet itll be packed but not too packed. after july 4th weekend it seems even on weekdays the lines seem to pick up alot. thats why i want to go on a seperate trip the 27th of june too with just me and friends to ride all the rides without too much of a wait.

eeks, yeah i wonder if anyone has more info on that incident, sounds interesting, kinda scary though... glad you had a good trip though, mine might be cancelled now due to personal reasons and its gonna suck... i wanna ride Firehawk and Son of Beast once it reopens...

i tend to disagree, i mean we all know it will reopen, even if just for a short time... they woldnt put all the work to remove the loop and create/modify new cars if they thought they werent going to reopen it.

Also, is The Racer considered 2 coasters, or is Avatar considered a coaster (to equal 14)? You know that is a good theory, what better time to have the ride open by? im sure that ace wouldnt be too happy with a closed down world class rollercoaster. the Son of Beast even with its problems has been one of the major attractions of the park since its opening, its one of my favorites, but nothing beats The Beast. I hope they have it open as soon as possible though as im going the 27th...

gah, i wish ki had some official way of telling everyone about the updates of their construction and such on rides. it would make for so much less confusion... but then again it could cause bad pres as well.

heh i always go on nonbusy weekdays, so my longest time was when we went to winterfest and rode scooby doos haunted castle, took about 2 hours 15 minutes. it was rediculous. but at least it wasnt 15 degreees once we got inside the building...

heh, i do that too, except i buy the big thing of it and put it in my bookbag, they dont mind it as i do it everytime. i get the cherry koolaid and country time lemonade ones. i dont like the small packs as they dont do so well for the big cups you get here at ki...
