  1. ^you can look at all of my post, and as far as i can remember i am the last person you will ever see use something that is derogatory to one single set of people, i usually find myself pointing out people when they use stereotypes, all i did was post the true definition of the word "ghetto" which just refers to a "run-down" area.

nowhere in this thread did anyone directly link the word "ghetto" to any one ethnic group and in all honesty it seems like you are the only one with the problem with "ghetto" being used.[/mini-rant]

  2. i can't believe i forgot about this happening today in physics.

my teacher was starting our unit on electricity when she told us the story of how a man's dog jumped into the oktoberfest pond and three people jumped in after him to catch him because everyone that was jumping in was "drowning," come to find out it was them all actually being electrocuted. :P

  3. I dreamt that I went to HW on opening day with Mrs. Gator. We went to ride Voyage, and I noticed that it didn't have the Timberliners. I asked the ride op why it didn't, and they told me that they were actually going to be installed in the next couple of weeks.

i believe we have a psychic on our hands.

  4. I have no problem putting my bags in Bin ececpt on Flight of Fear. Mostly because your gone from it for an hour or so, and the two times I have used them, my items were thrown onto the floor.

how are you gone from it for an hour or so? i thought they took loose articles as you boarded the train, but i've never had loose articles taken while i was on Flight of Fear, i usually just run my leg through the strings of my draw string bag.

edit: i don't think it would be to big of a problem, as long as you're not on a ride like Diamondback, Invertigo, Delirium, or Drop Tower.

  5. ^it's been asked every day since that answer was posted, but there are other really good questions being asked as well. :)

at least we have a start though, somewhere between 315'*- 500' is the height limit, just don't know where at in there.

*guess what, i was wrong, lol, the tallest thing at the park right now is 315' in the air, not 314'. :P

  6. i'd have to say the first time i rode Son of Beast in the dark, it was pitch black the whole entire ride, well except for when there was a police/security vehicle setting on the service road in the rosebowl with it's blue lights on. :P

plus it was kind of awesome not knowing exactly when you were entering the loop because of the lack of light.

-but the one time i got goosebumps on a night ride was when i rode Adventure Express back in '06 and Son of Beast had flood lights shining up against the loop. that thing was awesome looking with the shadows.

  7. There is an Image of America Series book about Six Flags Great Adventure that I stumbled upon from Barnes and Noble. This is a brief synopsis of what this book covers:

Six Flags Great Adventure revisits some of the park's past attractions, like the Garden of Marvels, Big Balloon, and Super Teepee, and illustrates the park's evolution into a state-of-the-art theme park enjoyed by a new generation of guests.

KI's book could cover so much and I think it would be a great addition for the park, either being sold online and/or at the park.

    What does everyone think?

i've thought about writing a letter to joy w. kraft, author of "images of america: the cincinnati zoo and botanical garden" to ask if she would write one of the series installments on Kings Island, i know the one on the cincinnati zoo is amazing, and i know there are enough things that have happened in the park's history that would make one on Kings Island spectacular.
