  1. i wish they hadn't done away with the maxx/ maxx plus passes, i really liked the option of either paying for a pass to get into the parks, or have the option to buy one that let you into the water parks that were separate admission from the dry parks.

  2. ^lol, my series of Cedar Fair passes is basically the opposite of yours.

with paramount, i always had a gold pass, then when Cedar Fair took over, i got the maxx pass, then upgraded to the platinum pass, then downgraded back to gold. :P

  3. first off, i'm so glad you finally were able to make it back to Kings Island. :)

Invertigo: While Invertigo wasn't a favorite for me, I would prefer it over its closest comparison at Cedar Point, Wicked Twister.

as for this, i can't believe that these words can even be uttered in this combination, wicked twister is so much better, imo, than Invertigo (but hey, this is the guy that, if legal, would marry Son of Beast ;)).

  4. well, i still haven't made it up to the park yet this season, so i voted "none, but i'll be getting one later this season," which should hopefully be here in the next week or so, anyway, i plan on getting a gold pass.

edit: all i have to do is renew my pass from last year, so yea, whatever you want to consider that.

  5. the Diamondback model would have never fit in the front window of thrill seekers. Diamondback's model was located in the glass viewing area that's underneath the international street restaurant, beside the main entrance, while the scorpion model has been in both the front window of thrill seekers and the little gift shop, just to the right of the main entrance.

  6. it might not be, but to me that sounds like Son of Beast still has a chance to reopen.

if Kings Island or Cedar Fair (not sure which of the two would make that decision) made up there minds to close the ride forever, wouldn't you think they would have already moved the trains off the rides location and have them setting in storage somewhere in the park? you would think, or at least i think, that if Kings Island could possibly get any money out of any part of the ride, if it was done for, they wouldn't be letting something like the trains (which could easily be sold) set out in the elements and possibly become of less value.

edit: ^Diamondback's trains set out through two of the really bad snow storms this past winter on skids located between the spashdown and the storage shed, if they made it through that, i don't see where Son of Beast's trains would be any different.

  7. ^why did six flags spend the money for a complete overhaul on texas giant if they don't know if it will be "the right fix"?

The steepest drop IN THE WORLD at 79 degrees.

The steepest bank of any wooden coaster IN THE WORLD at 95 degrees.

The world’s first Iron Horse Coaster track™©®. This rail system is made completely of steel and engineered for long term durability.

To put it back it back as the worlds top wooden coaster.

yet, roller coasters are classified by the material that the running rails are made of, now texas giant has steel running rails, which will make it lose any record that it has/would have as a wooden roller coaster, since it's now a steel hybrid coaster.

i agree with shark, just because the removed the crate the Son of Beast logo was in, doesn't mean that the ride is done for, the box was doing nothing setting there, so why not just remove it for the time being?

plus, i could see some guest pointing out that the crate was setting there to have Son of Beast placed in, so it could be returned for the parks money back.

  9. well, for the record, i'm derrike marksberry. :), and i didn't ask the question to complain about smokers at the park, but for more of a way to see that they would try even harder to try to enforce this rule, especially since they gave smokers the whole tower gardens to use.

  10. every now and then i'll bring a drawstring bag to an amusement park with me, but i usually bring it in case anyone that's with me gets tired of carrying around something they can just shove it in there, plus if we ever go on a water ride it makes a great spot for electronics, wallets, and other things that you don't want to get wet. :P

  11. ^did you forget that the merger with apollo was called off?

Cedar Fair is in debt, and if they have a contract which is still good, i'd rather them wait to spend money when it's needed on something like that instead of changing it because it has gotten old.

  12. ^i don't think a "failed attempt" would ruin gg's reputation, intiman has built two strata coasters, both with their own problems (although slowly having the kinks smoothed out), and many prototypes with their own problems as well, and they are still going strong.

Son of Beast is just a prototype, and it just needs tlc to make it run as good as some people want it to be. (i'm personally fine with it as you all most likely are aware. ;) )
