f-1 coaster trains have finally been revealed and have been testing.
http://www.shanghaid...icle_435282.htm
the trains look pretty awesome
edit: to fix spelling (thanks coasterguy15)

^i had to refresh my browser about 3 times before it finally came up for me.
-
^^awesome, you must have caught it right after it went live. i was on the web-site about half an hour ago and it wasn't there.
-
you never know, Cedar Fair might even look at the situation like this;
Kings Island has a higher attendance than at worlds of fun, that means that there is a bigger chance of someone buying a polo shirt with the logo.
-
maverick was built after the paramount buyout. so i don't think that one should be on that list, unless i'm using your two ride comparisons in a way you didn't mean for me to.
-
the first drop would be even more amazing with those trains, well unless there's another service truck setting down there...
Dig a bigger trench! But I'm sure there would be a height requirement.
there is a height requirement, it meets it now, so, unless for whatever reason the floorless trains set lower beneath the track, it would still be fine.
i was just referring to the accident that happened when there was a service truck setting at the bottom of the first drop.

so, is "glacier run" that's being built at the louisville zoo going to be about the same size as this one?
-
well, i'm having a 300 ft. tall opened air building built overtop all of my family's farm and any extra room will be turned into living space, including the interior of Son of Beast's lift hill/drop.
i hope i'm not cheating.
-
well, what if you can fit it on your land, but not in your house? i could easily fit Son of Beast, beast, or better yet both on my family's farm. (although they might not be to happy with it.)

^^i think the reason that people are saying that flight deck is reaching the end of it's life, isn't because they believe that it's unpopular, but the fact that the few remaining suspended swinging coasters are slowly, but surely, being weeded out of amusement parks around the world.
-
^that happens even with only two train operation.
the last two times i've ridden Firehawk i've ended up being stuck in the train baking in the sun because of it taking the ride ops like 8 minutes to dispatch a train and only using one side of the duel loading station.

i thought this was a really neat video showing off the construction via web-cam, reminds me of the video they showed in maverick's que line in '07 -
no offense to your dad, but that doesn't make sense, why would someone be able to use a gold/platinum pass perk with a discounted ticket?
in other words, no, that is a perk of being a gold/platinum pass holder.
-
 it wasn't until i read "six fairs" that i put the connection in the quote by that ceo and the name of his company.
-
ah... i see, i think, that makes more sense to me now, than it did a little while ago.

Didn't we do this on Mother's Day last year also, I was there on Mother's Day last year, it was beautiful weather, and I don't remember the park being overly crowded. There were lines for the rides, but at least more than one train was running on everything.
yes, they did have it on mothers day last year, my dad even went and picked up my sisters friend so that she could come to the park.
the funny part was, i even went and asked guest relations if the day was in fact a bring a friend day since the crowd was so small compared to other bring a friend days.
-
^i honestly have no idea , i was just going by, if i, for example, finally was done owing money, i wouldn't want to jump right back into owing money.
-
wow, you'd think they would wait a little while before trying to do something like that, especially after just exiting a bankruptcy.
edit: glad to have you back terp.
-
if i remember correctly, they experimented with different angles sometime last year, but in almost every angle showing off something other than Diamondback, you could see the Eiffel Tower blocking part of the shot.
-
^well, that would be why i didn't post them.
-
what time were the answers posted? i went to bed around 10:30 and they still weren't up.

I believe he was talking about the loop
Well, from what I understand, the loop structure was steel, but the actual rails were made of wood. So coaster_junky is right; my bubble has burst.
lol, well sorry to do that, but i thought i'd just point it out and besides you are not the only one to think that. i once had someone in line in front of me telling me that the reason the loop was removed was because of humans not being able to handle the tracks transition from wooden running rails to steel running rails. she was a lost cause.

And, I don`t think that Flight of Fear at Kings Island ever had a six car per train operation. While similar rides at Six Flags parks do have six cars on each train, I`m fairly certain that Kings Islands only ever had five. The station is not really set up for a sixth car.
If you look, there's a spot for the sixth car, they just modified the railing. Notice the empty, but still straight space, just enough for another car:
also, keep in mind that all the models are of this roller coaster are practically identical to one another, so maybe Kings Island just decided to be different and only have five car trains and keep the track model unchanged.
My Bright Idea for what to do with Son of Beast

i believe that he was referring to rcca, a company that only has been involved with 7 roller coasters.
