  1. Final tally for the season: 504.
  2. If I am not mistaken, the people in the video are doomed to live over and over again the same experience.
  3. I forgot about it. I turned it on about 10 minutes before it was over. The part where Lucy takes Linus out of the cold and puts him to bed shows a surprising, affectionate side to her character.
  4. I used to feel so sorry for Charlie Brown when everyone gave him rocks when the gang went trick or treating.
  5. Finally made it to the magic 500 yesterday. Total count 501.
  6. Glad you had a good time. However, if in the future you are going to go on such a crowded day, you should allow yourself at least a full day.
  7. Now at 479. Will try to reach 500 this Saturday at Fall Freakout.
  8. Isn't it possible that Knott's will get a different Demon Drop ride from the one at CP? Didn't Geagua Lake have a Demon Drop? It does make me sad the thought of Demon Drop leaving CP-it is one of the first rides I notice driving down the causeway that makes me really feel like i'm at the point. I agree, a classic free fall ride. I will be very sad if it leaves the point.
  9. From my own experience on the ride ( severe chest pain, headaches ) and the fact that I am not the only one who has complained and the fact that 25 other people in addition to the woman were hurt, I doubt very much that she is making this all up.
  10. I don't see anything wrong with walking under the handrails if the queues are empty when the line is practically a walk-on.. However when an attendant opens more queue rows when a line gets long the people are supposed walk through the queues until they are full. Instead of filling up the queues as requested people will run under the railings in a disorderly fashion which I find irritating.
  11. Getting rid of the fountains would be like getting rid of the Eiffel Tower. KI is so identified with those two displays. Unless there is more reliable information I would take such rumors with a grain of salt.
  12. It should have been almost a hop, skip and a jump to the front of the park to get those plans to Mr. Brady. Of course, they never tell you the name of the park in the episode, they simply say an amusement park in Cincinnati. I guess that can give them some artistic license. Yes, but the log flume (Kenton Cove Keelboat Canal?) clearly says "Kings Island" on it, haha. I just noticed that. So it is indirectly stated in the episode that the park is Kings Island.
  13. That was the old Cloud Nine ride from Coney.

  15. ^I agree. The continuity errors don't make me love this Brady episode any less, in fact it makes me love it more.
  16. Keep your eye out for some editing mistakes in this episode.
  17. I think its a sprain-it feels real sore today. Ice seems to help. Just taking it easy today. Actually, I was careless because I slipped and fell running to the train from SRL trying to make an empty seat-I slipped on the number which is very slippery when it gets rest. Lesson everyone: Do not run in the station.
  18. Was there last nite and slipped and fell on the DB platform which was slippery from the rain and hurt my hand. Special kudos to the DB crew, especially Jenny, in getting the first aid people over to take care of my hand.
  19. Will be there doing my usual DB marathoning. ( Am at 444, hope to make it to 500 this weekend. ) I'm not really into the haunt attractions except I used to love the Elvira ride.
  20. Does anyone remember Jungle Larry and Safari Jane at CP? They used to have an animal preserve where Power Tower is now.
  21. I think CP keeps the atmosphere more family friendly than KI with light-hearted monster rock in the backround such as The Monster Mash.
  22. I agree. Oktoberfest seems to be pretty much non-existent now. It used to be one of the most charming areas of KI. Der Spinning Keggers as a matter of fact was the very first ride I rode when my dad took me to KI for the first time back in 1972.
  23. This is a tough one. I'm going to go with bringing back the Bavarian Beetle. How I loved that ride, especially the sharp turns. This was a typical example of KI overdoing it in removing classic rides instead of allowing them to coexist with the new. ( Which is what is great about CP. )
  24. Earlier I had commented how I got a kick out of Shane, one of the DB crew, when he did his schtick, "Whoo!!!. When I was up at CP last Labor Day weekend, one of the Iron Dragon crew members did the exact same thing and he sounded just like Shane.
  25. I am thinking that the ride simply should be redesigned like an out-in-back.
