  1. Nice to see that you had a great time.
  2. I saw Ed's post on the feeding subject. No one was happy it seemed even though Ed posted the right stuff, and was very nice after his staff messed up on posting about feeding at the park. And just about everyone was fighting, insulting each other and cussing despite Ed making the right call on the parks Facebook page. I get that mothers feeding in a public place is a very tough subject to talk about. I had to unlike Ky. Kingdoms page because the fighting got so bad. Ky. Kingdom will have mess-ups. This is the first time the park has been open in a few years. I am sure that a lot of the staff is new. I do agree with BoddaH1994. I have seen people like that everywhere.
  3. They have a Meijer's on the same street as Walmart. I wonder if they had a deal going with Walmart?
  4. Full makeup and costume. It might of been the surprise. Pictures started coming in on the CP fansites on Facebook at 2 am.
  5. There was a surprise alright. Lol.
  6. A few of the Halloweekends actors made it to the Coaster Campout at CP at 2 am today.
  7. The Soak City at KI is better then it has been. The Soak City at CP is the one that needs help. The Beach needs work too. A lot of inground slides and old slides. The Beach had bought 2 or 3 waterslides from the old Six Flags waterpark in Columbus about 3 or 4 years ago. They should still be sitting in the field in pieces next to the parking lot.

I don't see KI getting a new coaster next year. I would like to see improvements to a midway like with what CP did this year with the Gemini Midway. Maybe do that to Coney Mall?
  9. Each state has laws that are set in place for themeparks to go by. The laws also have to be followed in order for the workers and guests to be safe. Cedar Fair I believe has the safest parks around due to the training, and how they keep rides up and such. A lot of the guests expect a themepark to keep them safe. That is true to a point. The guests have to make sure they obey the ride rules to keep themselves safe too by not standing up, putting arms or legs in areas where they shouldn't or whipping out cell phones or cameras while on a ride. Those are the major things a ride op will tell you not to do. OSHA plays a big part in themepark safety as well. When it comes to accidents at a themepark, 4 things can be a factor. The themepark itself, the guest, mother nature or the ride breaks something. I have seen all of those a factor in a themepark accident somewhere.
  10. I believe you can only use a Frightlane pass once per maze. But I could be wrong. With where Banshee is, you will run into at least 2 mazes. Club Blood and Wolfpack. Diamondback has the train haunt, and the maze inside the old Tomb Raider building in the area. Everything depends on the weather too. I would try and hit the 2 coasters you want to first. If you want cheaper tickets, go to Kroger. They run around 44.00 a piece. They should have them next to the guest services desk. If anyone is looking to work at KI, we will be hiring for Haunt starting the last weekend of July. Working Haunt is a real scream. Lol.
  11. I'm not sure where HUSS is. If they are waiting on parts and the company is overseas, then it maybe awhile. But who knows why it's down.

The thing I was sad about on a maze being removed was Cut Throat Cove. That was my first maze when I started in 2011. It was in a great spot. Easy to find.
  13. If it's for Haunt, then it maybe too late for it to be for this years. It's almost July. We start hiring in August, and start in Sept.
  14. The Banshee thing was a news story due to the GP calling it in, or putting it on social media. That happens everywhere though anymore. Don does a great job with everything.
  15. It's always nice to see guests having a good time. I have been thanking the guests at the end of each season since I have been working at the park for Haunt. Without them, the park and the staff would have no one to help or serve.

The park will be super busy this weekend due to SpiritSong. The last 3 times I been to the park this year on a Saturday or Sunday have been busy. Haunt weekends will be busy if it doesn't rain.
  17. The park stays open till 1 am or longer for Haunt.
  18. That area for Haunt would be a very bad idea seeing as how its too close to The Beast and Crypt back areas. A guest might want to look around more and get hurt unless they place a tall fence around that area of the rides. During a tour, we can't get too close to The Beast.
  19. malem, CP has no room for a treatment plant. They have to remove rides just to build them if they go big. A treatment plant can cost more then Gatekeeper, Top Thrill Dragster and Millie Force together with all of the permits, digging, pipe work, filters, red tape and EPA junk. Plus, Lake Erie has a lot of stuff in it that I'm sure the boats leak into it. Which I have heard happen more then twice. You also have the bad winters where the lake will freeze bad. The park needs water during the winter for the staff who are full time and for the hotels that are open year round. And you also have the smell that the treatment plant can put off. The only water that CP uses from the lake is for Thunder Canyon. That is I believe treated to a point. But it doesn't look like it. CP uses too much water, and it will cost them big to keep it clean.

We always start Haunt a week after CP starts Halloweekends. If you plan to go to the first Saturday of Haunt, the park opens at 7pm to the public. I believe it's because of a park buyout. But opens at 11 am to the public all other Saturdays. If your taking kids, we have events for them on Saturdays and Sundays till 6 pm I believe. Planet Snoopy closes just before Haunt starts because it's used for Haunt. The park does Haunt on Fridays at 6 pm as well. But does not do any of the kids events. You can see a Haunt maze as your going to and from The Bat. It's called Wolfpack. It's in the old SOB station. A lot of the mazes will open at different times because some are indoors and some are outdoors. If your looking to work for Haunt, new hires can apply in august. I will be working my 4th Haunt in a row this year. It's fun.
  21. I was at SpringCon too. The bacon for the funnel cakes was a nice touch. Lol. I heard the same thing as well.
  22. When Cedar Fair bought KI, I saved almost 100.00 on passes when I got the platinum pass. That was at the time they started selling them. I had to buy a KI and CP season pass just to go to the parks for a season.
  23. I live in Columbus, Ohio. I only been to the waterpark once or twice since its reopening. Its way better. But, they can use a few more rides and trees.
  24. I plan to work my 4th year in a row of Haunt this year.
  25. The waterpark was once owned by Six Flags. It was very run down till the zoo bought it.
