Glad you had a good time! And yeah, having more trains would definitely help all of their rides, Voyage used to have 3 trains, and 7 cars. Legend used to run two trains. Raven.. I think they still have two.. They ran two when I went on the 17th, I think. Be glad that you went on a weekday though! And I have to admit I had a nice little chuckle that the time zone change caught you guys.

I can assure you there have plenty of busy busy days, and once June hit, very few empty days. I've been to the park many times this year surprisingly

How doesn't a Diamondback snake fit the western/ cowboy/ river town feel?

AE, BLSC, Surf Dog, Flying Ace, Great Pumpkin Coaster, and Woodstock Express are not listed as "thrill rides". Because of this, I listed The Beast as my least favorite. Before people act so surprised.. see Holiday World, pick any wooden coaster. (But for the record, AE and BLSC still wouldn't have made my least favorite)

Thunderbird has launched!

True.. but a fourth coaster as intense as their other coasters would still be awesome. XD I feel that it could be another water coaster. Hyena falls is over in that area and it would seem odd that they planned those slides there when they were gonna expand the dry park in the Thanksgiving area. -- -
Was best used as a show space for Scooby Doo IMO back in the day.

11 Theme Park Flubs (2 Kings Island rides!)

Wait. Soo... Did Tomb Raider/ The Crypt get led to failure because of the loss of the capacity? Like an off center rotation and the attempt to make it more intense to compensate for the loss of theming? I've understood it to be removed as it simply became less and less popular, but what led it to no longer have the kind of ride cycle as initially given, or the one that was used towards early The Crypt life? -
... "You're a stupid name for a roller coaster!" (the classic format for a perfect comeback.)

Or 5'4 guys. ^^^ Equality. -from a 5'4 guy. (seemingly fully grown)

This would happen everyday at KI if the chain lifts didn't have different speeds.. Is there really nothing better to report on the news?

570-Foot Coaster in Orlando Next Year?
calakapepe replied to Thrill_Biscuit's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
This makes me as disappointed as when Ring Racer was initially to become the fastest roller coaster in the world. (Ring Racer) http://rcdb.com/4161.htm Apparently, not nearly as fast as it was originally planned. Sigh. Kingda Ka will still have the biggest drop. Which is ten-folds more important. -
Awesome pictures! Thanks for sharing! Never thought to look how far away Kennywood was from Cincy.. A 4 hours and 30 minutes makes me wanna consider a trip over here!

This battle is really between The Beast and Banshee imo. Unless you're into very classic looking fonts compared to sleek and mean ones. (Biased? Maybes - as the kids say)

Also... these older steel coasters, in addition to creating more giggles from myself from the unexpected changes in directions, they are often longer rides and more fulfilling. Of course there are exceptions.. but I've gotten that impression from the newer coasters. Especially when you compare the old large woodies getting the Iron Horse treatment.

Some seem to be! (i.e. I'd rather ride Magnum XL 200 than Diamondback) I don't think AE is rough at all, it's aggressive. It's what makes the ride fun without having to have crazy airtime or crazy speed/ height. -- I wish Adventure Express had more vertical greenery around the outer edges and the last turn around though.. Esp. with the new shiny coaster next door.

Thunderbird has launched!

If HW did get a B&M I'd vouch for roaring levels of Raptor or Banshee rather than rides like Mantis. It's hard for me to carry a conversation even a good 100 yards away when it comes from Mantis. -
It's still a really fun coaster that is often judged by its cover. But I find it more fun that The Racer. Sorry, Don.

I hope this park survives for a next season, because I'm not one for water parks, and they are planning to have the SLC and the two twisted woodies up and running for 2015, based off their park map. I really would love a chance to ride Lightning Run, it looks like such a blast and to have more dry rides to offer me, I could see spending the time, gas, and money to visit Kentucky Kingdom once again.

But that's not necessarily a bad thing!

What would you hate to see go at Kings Island
calakapepe replied to Vortex lover's topic in Kings Island
That would have been very upsetting. -
At least I'm not crazy, they ARE a little uncomfy, those vests. Just a little.

New Cedar Point Live Cams

About time one of the parks' "live cameras" were actually LIVE and were actually video! Movin' on up! -
I rode late may, and I rather enjoyed it. I found it very painful back in 2010, but this year although anticipating some pain.. I really enjoyed the coaster and it was an aggressive fun that didn't make it over to my classification of "too rough"

Glad to hear it wasn't worse, the malfunction. Hope everyone involved isn't shied away from this ride because of it either, they'd be missin' out.
