  1. Do most of you guys really not live close to the park? I'm 30 minutes out, I hope I'm not the closest one.
  2. What was it like to have that ride revealed like that? Was it a complete surprise? Did it seem crazy? I never got a chance to be surprised by SOB as I Grew up from 5 till 8 sorta learning what the ride did.. and even then, not understanding how unique it actually was.
  3. *shrugs* Probably, since that is what I do on all the wooden coasters to avoid getting painful rides from these "head rests." I'm probably just sitting up, not forward.. but I'm definitely not reclining all the way back. I'm not relaxing, I'm having a thrill-ful experience. And Terp, I think you are right. And I've seen articles lost on the drop in the past too. You'd be able to hang on.. but man, would that be scary.. Edit: Sorry, we can get back on topic now, if you'd like.
  4. I'll need to test this next time I go. Maybe it's the way I sit, but I distinctly remember having force up on the lap bar. Especially in the back. And this is without me feeling the seat catch me. But again, I will want to test this for myself... "test"
  5. How does that keep someone in their seat when there's airtime?
  6. Man, don't remind us of how great a ride (experience wise) Tomb Raider was!.. and allegedly The Crypt during opening weeks.
  7. If I go, there'll be another teen for ya!
  8. Probably because many think the Eiffel Tower isn't worth while. (an observatory ride). If people are afraid of heights, they'll back away from both anyways. Some people that aren't afraid of heights might only be scared of DT because it's.. well.. dropping you. And even if people enjoy the view, like me, they might not ride it EVERY time. Unless you meant like.. people backing away out of fear.. then that's a weird thing to notice.
  9. Honestly, I hop not. Especially during one of those hot summer days. Maybe they could use water canons.. and keep them.
  10. I can't believe this is what those footers are being used for...
  11. According to RCT2.. I believe they're called "Lay-Down Coaster"
  12. And this is another problem with this site lately. If you don't have proper terminology , someone has to be a I, personally, thought it was a witty joke. He wasted no more than 5 seconds of your time. And potentially made people smile.
  13. I already took care of the logo back in post http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/21765-random-photo-of-the-day/page-94#entry512662 I found this one day when....Oh Wait!! Did someone hear a Banshee??..... ^ It's still too 1996 I could care less about the park name, as that had nothing to do with the ride logo... But I do care about that a little bit. *I want KI to have "Banshee"
  14. It's too.... 1996.
  15. Helix Looks like it'd be an awesome ride! Though, I wish they didn't have the same inversion over and over. Might had been nice to have a standard loop or a nearly inverting top hat. Just to mix it up a bit more. But it's a long ride with a good location. If we do get a record breaker for this "B&M invert" I hope the records aren't for height. First launch or longest B&M would be nice.
  16. Agreed. Racer comes close... for two hills. Or would it be four?
  17. ^ Never been to CW so I'm not sure but it looks like they have much more space than us between the entrance and the fountains. http://www.bing.com/maps/#Y3A9NDMuODQ4MjE4fi03OS41MjUxODMmbHZsPTE0JnN0eT1yJnE9Y2FuYWRhJ3MlMjUyMHdvbmRlcmxhbmQ= http://www.bing.com/maps/#Y3A9MzkuMzQ1OTI4fi04NC4yNzE0NjImbHZsPTE1JnN0eT1yJnE9S2luZ3MlMjUyMElzbGFuZCUyNTJDJTI1MjBPSA== Looks to be 50ft of space for KI and a bit more than 100ft for CW
  18. I hope it doesn't leave, that's for sure.
  19. Adventure Express is a fun ride. "Rough"? Eh, Aggressive, I'd say. It's not like it's jolting all over the track. It throws you around where it's designed to and the seats we have a far more comfortable than other mine trains.. Also, the layout, itself, is one of the better ones that Arrow created. I get disappointed when people don't share my appreciation for the ride. I don't have any discomfort riding. And I KNOW the ending doesn't have a second major drop so I don't care anymore.
  20. I do like when we get lasers in the launch of Flight of Fear..
  21. The balloon gag is particularly loud... Aside from that, it's usually fine.
  22. I find the other two to be smooth, personally; if you're ignoring the bad restraints. I think Beast is pretty smooth nowadays. Ever since 2011 it's felt really smooth. Especially the turn out of the second tunne.
  23. Glad you changed your mind, opinions are all we have right now, and yes I change my mind all the time! "No wait, no I don't... actually, I do!" Flight of Fear has smooth transitions? Not IMO Diamondback has smooth transitions... Flight Deck.. The grand carousel.. I said inversions, not transitions. Which coaster in the park has smoother inversions then Flight of Fear? Well, don't I feel dyslexic. And the only one that doesn't have smooth inversions is Vortex.
  24. Glad you changed your mind, opinions are all we have right now, and yes I change my mind all the time! "No wait, no I don't... actually, I do!" Flight of Fear has smooth transitions? Not IMO Diamondback has smooth transitions... Flight Deck.. The grand carousel..
  25. I despise head rests. I lean forward anyways.
