Adventure Express is a fun ride. "Rough"? Eh, Aggressive, I'd say. It's not like it's jolting all over the track. It throws you around where it's designed to and the seats we have a far more comfortable than other mine trains.. Also, the layout, itself, is one of the better ones that Arrow created. I get disappointed when people don't share my appreciation for the ride. I don't have any discomfort riding. And I KNOW the ending doesn't have a second major drop so I don't care anymore.

What's Up With Snoopy's Starlight Spectacular?
calakapepe replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I do like when we get lasers in the launch of Flight of Fear.. -
The balloon gag is particularly loud... Aside from that, it's usually fine.

I find the other two to be smooth, personally; if you're ignoring the bad restraints. I think Beast is pretty smooth nowadays. Ever since 2011 it's felt really smooth. Especially the turn out of the second tunne.
-
Glad you changed your mind, opinions are all we have right now, and yes I change my mind all the time! "No wait, no I don't... actually, I do!" Flight of Fear has smooth transitions? Not IMO Diamondback has smooth transitions... Flight Deck.. The grand carousel.. I said inversions, not transitions. Which coaster in the park has smoother inversions then Flight of Fear? Well, don't I feel dyslexic. And the only one that doesn't have smooth inversions is Vortex.

I despise head rests. I lean forward anyways.

Two coasters where you hardly need restraints in the first place. (Not PKI's post)

Faster than The Great Pumpkin Coaster?? Son, I was there! haha But really, it just means it's faster than a train can clear the final brake run before the second one gets to the MCBR.. it doesn't have to be SO fast that it stacks on the first lift... (Beast would almost always stop on the first lift if it didn't have a slowed lift... ever notice how it speeds up once the train in front clears the next lift??)
-
Diamondback, I have had it pumped out too fast on more than one occasion. And believe it or not, that can be a bad thing too. It was so fast that the trains were braked, or completely stopped on the MCBR.

Right. Because there aren't hundreds of other manufacturers out there like Zierer, Gerstlauer, PTC, RMC, Premier, or Vekoma that could be creating this coaster. Well you did say hundreds, keep going with your list. I'm intrigued. He did say there "aren't" though So, listing hundreds would make him a liar, technically. He was only agreeing with him.

Attractions can be moved; some have that were larger than slingshot. Always room just a little southeast of its current location. I knows that. Just commenting on a specific post.. It is in a pretty good spot though.
-
I only agree with two of the four spots you have there.. interesting.
-
I wouldn't miss Sling Shot if it were put to rest. But I don't see that happening; they seem to make a lot of money from it.
-
Vortex's station used to house a hanging coaster (bat). I'm sure the inverse would be possible too if they really wanted to do it.
-
I wish we didn't have the head rests on the wooden coasters now. You don't need them. Great find on the video, didn't plan to spend my day watching an hour and a half video about Kings Island but it was nice!

How tall are you? Do you get headbanging? Maybe you should try being taller if you're head isn't above the harness But you do seem to be able to tolerate those abrupt banking changes more when you're above, or well below the "shoulder" part of the harness.
-
The further back on the train I can get the better, I say. There's great airtime on the drop, and I stress "great" and some of the banking changes are much less intense. The only down side I see is that dumb, angled level-out for the drop from the MCBR that leads into corkscrews.. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why Arrow did that with all their coasters with such elements..
-
I have yet to try their wing-rider restraints. But I agree, a lap bar, with the right seat, is sufficient enough. Now, if they could get pull down lap bar to work with an invert (seems possible) then everyone would be more comfortable! And what about "stigmata"?

This post has nothing insightful - Merely me talking about my opinion and what I'm hoping for. I too am surprised at the amount of hate from inverted coasters. I don't understand. I never have a headache, I don't have problems with restraints.. Come to think of it, I often hear complaining with rides being rough and too aggressive just in general, and I'll just sit there in silence because everyone will have different experiences depending on what kind of person they are (pain tolerance, person size, or how they ride) But a B&M invert would be a dream come true for me. I've always, since I was a little kid, wanted an inverting, full circuit coaster and to add another coaster that may be a little rough would be outstanding for me; I'd love it. Vortex is my favorite coaster in the park and obviously it's not a favorite among many guests for known reasons... Somewhat similar to why B&M invert is apparently not a popular choice. I don't mind OTSR, I love an intense coaster, and I don't ride need to ride a coaster to look at stuff.. I'm enjoying everyone's insights and guesses but I'm hoping for my dream and expecting one from these "clues".. But like others I just can't wait to ride something NEW.

I agree, Vortex (And most arrow loopers) can get away with having faded paint. Not too entirely sure why. Racer I think deserves some love.. Though, I'm not sure if I'd say I'd be happy if one year that was the only improvement to happen. Then again, it'd be better than NOTHING happening, which has happened before.

I voted B&M woodie with inversions (Not really.)

Kings Island currently has a roller coaster incorporating water. It is located in Rivertown. I know that... Diamondback is pretty cool. But I mean more of a water themed creature name with the possibility of getting wet while riding. No offense but we already have 3 great water rides, (4 in you count splash dance). We don't need a coaster where you actually get wet. You have to remember, we live in Ohio....I don't think Splash Dance can be considered a ride... or great, actually. No offense taken. When I say water incorporated I mean like a light mist in what would maybe be an indoor section of he coaster. I still think a verbolten style thing would be cool. But also have you eve seen Poseidon's fury at islands of adventure? The water tunnel would be awesome to go through in a coaster. Plus I don't mean getting drenched like in the "water rides". If you were to think of a drake, it is a water dragon...if the ride started in a building you could have the underwater type theming and then fly out with a launch and have the open air. Just saying it would be cool and its no more off base than everyone else's wishes here. We used to have another coaster that incorporated water. It was then known as Italian Job Stunt Track.. anyone know why the water was taken out? Not the "splash down" the cannons that'd shoot in the air and get you wet. That's what I miss most from what's been changed with that ride.

If what we are speculating actually ends up being the lift hill. It has room to be big, but not massive. 'less it's a vertical lift.... If there's a lift... if it's a coaster.
