There aren't any thick bars to bang your head on. They are like Gatekeeper's restraints with a pull down lap bar (sort of thing) and a vest restraint (sort of like on Firehawk). Though I imagine the vest problems of them continuously tightening will be solved by next year since management is aware of the issue with GK. -- I do wish our zero-g roll was a bit faster like on Raptor though.. but comparing the renderings, this looks to be as forceful as most B&M inverts so I'm still pleased!
-
And because of that we seem to have a modernized and better version of a B&M invert with a longer length, in-line twist (which probably wouldn't have appeared 'less the wingriders brought that to B&M, interacting loop (which would've been harder with the old lift supports I imagine), and new restraints! -- I imagine this ride will have stacking issues or lift hill speed changes, but seeing as how the lift is about equal the time of the rest of the ride, there could be close to no stacking if people move fast enough and the ride team goes fast enough too.
-
I, for one, and extremely glad to not have a pre-drop. -- Also, it looks as though this ride won't have any trims!! Though, with no MCBR, as awesome as that is, I feel like you will be sitting waiting to get back into the station for a long time, or the chain lift will pull a Flight Deck or a Beast.

Nope, the only down time I experienced with DB was due to weather.
-
IIRC? (would that have counted as a one-word post)
-
It's tied for most inversions.. not bad! And not all the same that you usually see. a Dive loop (only one other) , in-line twist, interacting first loop, and a pretzel knot!. At least it's innovative!
-
Just came from the construction sight. They had a lot of fog coming from that area, and they had this huge screen.. Not sure how that would tie in with the final coaster, the screen, that is.
-
68! Fastest full circuit invert!!! The STILL fastest full-circuit invert was made in 1998... 2MPH faster. That's why it was said at the announcement that it was only the fastest from this coaster manufacturer. I'm honestly not blown away with this "theming". It's pretty modest, honestly. (redundancy) Yes there is a theme for the ride, yes there is a cool station, and some tombstones. It's not like there were any tunnels or props showcased that would bump this to what I would consider "incredible." -- Also, I hope that only having two big bars in front of you will allow for slightly better vision!

^^ Yeeah, just my luck. Did anyone happen to screen cap it??

Not counting any kiddie coasters... Adventure Express. Though, AE still counts as thrilling for me.
-
Today's the day!!! Also looks like some sort of churchy feel... hmm
-
I have a feeling it will barely be longer than raptor if it's an invert.. somewhere around 3,800ft.
-
Maybe from afar.
-
You sure the announcement will be over in time for you to leave the park AND drive home and get home at 2300??
-
We didn't have this detailed of the old Thunder Alley area until now. This isn't completely redundant, people.

I calculated them based off of a 200ft approximation of the adjacent side, Dom497 Didn't account for initial height, so take it for what it's worth. EDIT:: The approximation was someone holding a ruler up to the blue prints.
-
I would assume the station would be closer to ground level as it's already on a hill so the train is going to have to have enough speed to end the ride several feet higher than its lowest position.
-
I didn't finish my problem, I took my lengths and just Pythagorean therom'd it. I edited my answer. I think that's just the way the cars look from the top: http://rcdb.com/87.htm?p=1276
-
I calculated, with a lift hill of 35*, equal to that of Montu's lift hill, our ride would be 139ft tall ish. (I won't add the already conceived height of the station as we do not know that
-
Okay, so we know it's about 200ft in length on the ground floor. If only we knew the angle.
-
Perhaps the swoop needs extra supports because that is were it could pick up more speed from the extra depth down the hill. (hopefully a forceful spot!)
-
In your opinion?? Why opinion-ate the speed rather than figure it out! It's fun!

So that's what the layout of the girls' restroom looks like.. http://i872.photobucket.com/albums/ab289/AlexRB1994/1375829491.jpg

Based off those blueprints it looks as though it's definitely an invert, and 8 cars per train. Also, a support going right in the middle of the queue! Eek!! (Don't know why that's exciting...)

We get to kiss someone when the countdown gets to 0!.... Or we countdown to the scheduled time.
