Coaster Club Memberships
Beast1979 replied to KIfan1980's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I am an ACE member, have been for 2 years. Like violakat03 said, I pick on the ACE people despite being a member. I am not a real ACEr, I just use it for the events 'n stuff. I wouldn't be caught dead with a fanny pack! I do like my ACE membership and I do think it is worth the $60 a year, because 1. It gets you into events. 2. Places like Holiday World give discounts for ACE members (Angie said that with those discounts the Card payed for itself and more). 3. They give out a monthly and quarterly publication, which even though you get the info on the internet 3 weeks in advance, it's still nice to have it there and to skim through. About other clubs, I wouldn't know. -
The Avatar Character falling off? Umm, what? Yes, that looks like it can and will fall off.

I don't see how you can yell at a park with a lot of B&M's......... -
They've been off of the front of the train for a while now.

Can't wait to see what this is...I'm super pumped forr more Intamin Giga goodness! -
If your in the regular line, ask politely and you will most likely get a seat where you want.
-
Not only that, but Kings Island themselves are heavy on them.

This guy needs to learn how to assign rows. This is how ya do it: 2: Row 1 4: Row 2, Row 3 2: Row 4 3: Row 5, Row 6. Single Rider, Row 6. 4: Row 7, Row 8 2: Row 9 2: Row 10 6: Row 11, Row 12, Row 13 3: Row 14, Row 15. Single rider, Row 15 2: Row 16.

If anything......Son of Beast. Even that I doubt it. Granted, it did break tons of records and stuff, but look how it's turned out. Closed more then opened in it's life, 6 ODA inspections in 9 years, and known as one of the roughest rides in history, do you really think that's deserving of an ACE landmark?

I really have a problem imagining Diamondback as a girl. Granted, it's a beautiful ride, but I don't see how that type of ride amounts to a feminine name.....
-
I remember when the ride first opened everyone was looking high and low for the B&M Roar, but couldn't find it. When I went on Thursday, we were going through Rivertown and I heard it! The train flew down the first drop and Diamondback ROARED! I jumped for joy! I don't know what took it so long, but the snake's finally starting to man up and roar like a big boy Beemer. Gosh, it's so nice to hear that beautiful sound at Kings Island. Maybe some more.......

I have imagined, daydreamed, and had dreams about this exact thing more times then I could imagine. What I would do is this: I would invite all of the KIC gang to Kings Island. I wouldn't want to be a hog, and you guys are all so much fun! While we could all have our groups, I would plan to do a loop around the park, starting with Action Zone. I'd ride everything I like, some of hem multiple times, like Drop Tower. I would wonder theough the park, soaking in the atmoshpere of an empty Kings Island. I would wh0r3 rides with longer lines, like Firehawk and Flight of Fear. Then, once I got to Rivertown, I would spend the rest of the day there. I would marathon Diamondback, going row 16, row 16, row 1, row 16, row 16, row 1, and so on. Whenever I got bored with Diamondback, I would head over to Beast, going 6-2, 1-1, 6-2, 1-1, etc. Once nightfall struck, I would do Racer, Adventure Express, Beast, and Diamondback. I would make sure to take tons of photos, most of which would end up on here and facebook. Done. Back to reality.

Here's all of the ones I have gone to with a summery: Walt Disney World: Too young to remember, but have heard some great reviews of it Universal Studios Orlando: Must visit whenever you're in Florida. Absolutely fantastic park with tons to do. Beech Bend: This is a small little park in Kentucky. While it has a carnival style feel to it, it's a great park with friendly staff and a kick ass GCI woodie! Dollywood: Barely even an amusement park. From the time I got there from the time I left, I must have ridden only 4 or 5 different rides. But I still had a bomb. Friendly staff, great rides, beautiful shops, stores, restaurants, shows, the whole nine yards. GO. Coney Island Cincinnati: Underestimated park by far. Has lots to do, despite having only one coaster, and the pool is great. If you get the time, head on over. Kings Island: Well, duh! I can list a billion reasons to go, but I only have to name one: Diamondback. 'nuff Said! Cedar Point: Without a doubt the best park I've been to. From the moment I saw the skyline to the moment I left the peninsula, I had an amazing time. The whole park is fantastic. I think only one word is adequate to describe my feelings towards Cedar Point: Love. Any other park I wouldn't know.

I think this makes me more mad then sad. In the article they go on and on and on about how it is a guest favorite and everyone loves to ride it and whatnot. Well then, why are you removing it? "Reached the end of it's service." I'm sorry but that's BS. How old is Leap the Dips? 107 years old? I know it's for a new park addition and all but it is it really that hard to work around it? It's a unique coaster, there's only 6 others like it operating, and it's the best of it's kind. Is it really that hard to just stick with it? The idea of removing one of the most beloved coasters in the United States for a new addition just really sets me off. Here's hoping they wake up and smell their own crap: http://www.coastergallery.com/1999/SFGA31.html -
Whatis the funnuiest thing you have ever see in DB nets?

Heck, I'm a blue fan too! Oops, wrong blue. -
I see Manta or Diamondback going for it. Now which one is going to win? Who knows. I would like to see Diamondback win but Manta has a lot going for it, all though personally I think flying coasters are a gimmick.

Steel: 1. Diamondback 2. Millennium Force 3. Top Thrill Dragster 4. Maverick 5. Incredible Hulk Wood: 1. Thunderhead 2. Big Dipper (Geauga Lake) 3. Kentucky Rumbler 4. Racer (Red (Kings Island))

I got one a few days ago, but aside from that I haven't gotten anything really for a while.
-
One Intamin would be enough for me. If Kings Island were to invest in a few more B&M's, I would be jumping for joy. B&M's are reliable, safe, smooth, have high capacity, and are just plain fun. Please?

Made from the same company with the same rides and an Eiffel Tower just 3 years after Kings Island's opening, I would bet there are some connections..... -

I wish Kings Island had a bike rack out front, the idea of hopping on my bike and riding up to Kings Island to ride roller coasters just tickles me to death!
