  1. Ugh, another poll (Sorta). UGH, about "What's your favorite coaster of all time and what's your favorite at KI" again?!? If I had a nickel for how many times I've seen this question before, I could buy a game at KI. Please, learn to make a poll, or at least learn to use the "Edit" button, and please, Learn to use the Search Feature!!!!!!!
  2. Ahem. I was there today, it was packed. The line was stretching out of the entrance past the sign. Only Red was open.
  3. To save money, and time most likely. It probably costs a lot more to run two coasters then one.
  4. so up until recently Indiana Beach's Tig'rr was not a roller coaster in your terms? Jackson, knowing where you're coming from, but pointing that out.
  5. Steel please. I have not been to Holiday World yet but I can see that if there is one area they lack in it is Steel Coasters. They are set for life with woodies, a nice B&M Floorless would do the park wonders.
  6. No. It is not a roller coaster by any definition of the term. Where's the track? The Lift or Powered launch? The trains?
  7. Ohh yes, definately. The rides are fantastic, the food is great, the shows are spectacular, and there's so much more there then there is at an average amusement park! Go!
  8. Money, my friends, money. While what the consumer wants does influence a decision on Cedar Fair's part, in this situation, it's about the money. How much does Viacom want for those Nicktoons the kids love, and how much is Cedar Fair willing to pay? Will Snoopy be any cheaper? Will Hanna Barbera be any easier? In the end, as it has been for everything in this industry, Time will tell.
  9. And there isn't a thing wrong with that! Of the 7 B&M coasters I have ridden, 6 of them are in my top 10 Steel.
  10. Without a doubt the best picture I've ever taken at Kings Island.
  11. I was sorta hoping that if they learned anything from HRP, it would be how to name things. Time Machine? Really?
  12. 500?! That's amazing! Congrats, Darlene! I'm only at 26....
  13. Let's not forget the "$120!!!" Scooby Doo prize!
  14. Jeeze. This is truly desperate. $8.88 to enter the park? But MORE if you enter late? What in the world? Obviously they have learned absolutely nothing at all from Hard Rock Park. Nothing at all.
  15. Well that stinks. Looking at SFKK over the last few years, looking at pictures from trip reports and this, it really looks like the park is slowly deteriorating into closure. I would love to see a few major additions at the dry side, possibly bringing a lot of people back, but if they don't hop to it soon I don't see this park staying around for a while. While I agree, you might want to be careful, you know how the SoB lovers on this board are....
  16. It's Kings Island. I've come to learn that when your at Kings Island, a good rule of thumb is that everything is worth half as much as what you paid for it. So, you got a $2.50 shirt, if that.
  17. I can handle a bit of roughness. If I'm thrown around a bit, shaken around a little that's ok. But if it leaves me in pain, then I see no reason to ride it.
  18. While I like to get glasses, keychains, keep memorabilia like admission tickets, etc, it's all about the shirts! I am a glorified t-shirt addict, I love almost any shirt with the park name on it. I also love to get individual ride shirts, although they don't have the same touch that park shirts do. Jackson, who at this very moment has over a dozen roller coaster t shirts, 7 Ron Jon Surf Shop t shirts, 4 Washington DC shirts, and more.
  19. I've sat in nearly every row on DB and I have to say that while the middle rows are great, row 1 is fantastic and row 16 tops everything, everything else in the park.
  20. Millennium Force reaches a maximum of 5 g's at the bottom of the hill, occasionally approaching 6.
  21. Diamondback is a little bit better then Millennium Force, and Millennium Force is better then Magnum. Posted from my iPod Touch at Orlando International Airport.
  22. He has done a very good job of being quiet, don't make him ruin it!
  23. Little orange flags of fun have been spotted near Cedar Creek Mine Ride. What a shame I didn't get to ride it this year.
  24. We need to organize a date I might pitch in on that. Uhh Ohh, I see another thread in the works!
