  1. Diamondback. Beast. Racer. Flight of Fear. Adventure Express. Drop Tower. Vortex. My Platinum Pass. The fact that it is 15 minutes from my house.
  2. There is only assigned seating on Diamondback, and if you wait in the regular line you can request a row.
  3. Terpy you never dissapoint! I wonder how many puns you can fit in one post.....
  4. ^^And the extreme heat would pop them.....I like your thinking!
  5. We should start a group therapy that involves buying a basketball and stabbing it millions of times with a knive until it's in shreds...then cutting the remaining shreds into pieces with scissors...then setting the tiny pieces of confetti on fire...then throwing the ashes on people dibbling the basketballs. Flyer, who thinks this would be a blast! Don't forget, you have to include the pit in Siberia somewhere!
  6. Kat and I went for her birthday as a girls day out. I told you that more than once. We told Adam (pkiboy) and Gary (Beast79) as well that it was a girls day out. They understood. You don't seem to get it. You texted that "karma" to me, wrote it on my Facebook wall repeatedly, and now you're writing it in my TR? It's getting annoying real fast. Sorry, giga, I'm just really upset when other people get to do things and I don't. I'm 13, still yet to master that skill.
  7. In no particular order, just as they came to me: 1. The music. Kings Island is supposed to be a happy, enjoyably fun place. Why is it I have heard at least 3 Fray songs so far this year? Kings Island is supposed to be in 2009, just like the rest of us. Why are you playing music that died 30 years ago, and why are you playing it over, and over, and over, and over, and over again? I heard one song 3 times at Diamondback within 3 hours! Where is the classic orchestra on I-Street? And why do you have to play it so, darn, loud?!?!?!?! 2. Line Jumpers. You are a guest. Just like me. Just like the other 300 people in this line. What makes you think you have the right to skip me in line. I don't care where your friends are. You get in line with them then. 3. People who can't keep themselves out of their bf or gf while in line. Does it look like I want to see you make out? 4. People who don't smoke in the designated smoking area. Please. If you want to smoke, don't make me have a coughing fit (Which I will, trust me) from it. 5. The Food. I will pay a lot for a good meal, or a little for a bad meal. I will NOT pay a lot for a bad meal. 6. Non Enforcement of rules. Please, if you see something wrong, do something about it! "Line jumping is not a sport at Kings Island. This rule is enforced strictly." Please. 7. Spitting. EWWW. Stop! Almost every path at Kings Island is covered with disgusting spots from absolutely revolting spit. Don't Spit. 8. Clothing. Just ranted about it in another topic, won't do it again. 9. Basketballs. Can you like, not inflate those? People bounce them everywhere, take them on rides, what have you. 10. Park management. Where do I begin? Putting a trim brake on almost every coaster at the park, taking out the dips on Fairly Odd Coaster and Racer, Refusing to paint Flight Deck, the mess that is the Crypt, Son of Beast, the extremely outdated lineup of rides, the complete overuse of restraints on rides (Seriously, a seatbelt on Fairly Odd Coaster? Really?), lack of consistency on theming (A Chinese Restaurant in a German section of the park, etc), and much more. 11. Trim Brakes. I know I mentioned it in the last complaint, but this deserves it's own complaint. A roller coaster should be designed so you do NOT have to slow the ride by 10 mph every 400-500 feet! Also, there are some brakes that are just not necessary. A trim, on a Kiddie Ride! There are trims on: Fairly Odd Coaster, Diamondback, Beast, Backlot, Vortex, Racer, Flight of Fear, Adventure Express, Son of Beast, and Invertigo. Wait, a ride, where you don't have to slow it in the middle of the ride for no apparent reason besides your loathsome hatred of speed? Say it aint so! And finally, 12. Waiting in line. I know, it's an amusement park, get used to it, but I hate, I hate, I HATE having to wait hours upon hours for a ride. I just want to ride! Kings Island. Where Else?
  8. I am part of the younger, new millennium generation here who are apparently to blame for all of this clothing mayhem. I can say that I, and most others of my age, are into the freedom of being able to wear whatever we want, and express that freedom. That being said, I do think that there is a point where that freedom can and will be abused, and many people have crossed it. First, the lack of clothing. I will admit it, with me being 13 the lack of clothing has not bothered me too much at all recently. But, I will say that Kings Island is a public facility and people of all ages are here to enjoy Kings Island. If you want to have a 2 piece bikini on while swimming at Boomerang Bay fine, go ahead, but there are rules set down by Kings Island, and also there are certain places where it just is not acceptable to be that bare. You ever think some people (Like the numerous children and their parents and grandparents) at Kings Island may not WANT to see that? Second, what is being shown on clothing. Again, our generation enjoys the fact that we can express ourselves through our clothing. But, I have no interest in your T Shirt describing drug use, sexual activities, or violent ambitions. During RWCW I actually saw one t-shirt with the McDonalds golden arches on it, except they were grass, and the T-Shirt said "Marijuana, I'm Smokin It". That is NOT appropriate for a family oriented place such as Kings Island. Please, consider where you are. If you want to wear a shirt that shows someone killing someone else, please save it for somewhere else. I am surprised these people are not turned down admission to the park, let alone being escorted from the park. Rant over, let's ride!
  9. How long did the inspection take in '06? Because this inspection sure is taking a while, it's been closed for 7 days now.....
  10. That's true. I guess Cedar Fair is spending money to make money. Let's just hope these big new attractions bring in money, I thought that in this day and age it was family oriented attractions that brought people in.
  11. They did pay like what, 1.24B For them? I'd assume they had plans for them!
  12. ^Pun Completely intended, I presume? Anyhow, if Maverick and all of the new rides from Intamin got the new restraint system, why didn't the older ones switch to the new ones? If a 105 foot ride needs OTSRs, Lap Bars, and a Seat belt according to the manufacturer, then why doesn't a 310 foot ride need them?
  13. I ment a T-Bar would have sufficed as far as Ride Experience goes. I never said engineering wise it was right.
  14. Son of Beast. It's a POS*. Especially considering how great they make it out to be (And other people on here make it out to be) *Disclaimer: This is the members OPINION. Everyone has their own OPINION and is entitled to speak their OPINION.
  15. For me Maverick is a great ride, and would be mind blowing if they didn't have those horrible, awful, terrible restraints. Whoose bright idea was that?! "This ride is going to have a lot of quick and fast turns, so lets put this uncusioned bar over their shoulders right at ear level. With the occasional airtime, we will handle that by putting a huge fat bar at their laps, just so that the normally fun airtime will hurt. Oh, and lets throw in a seatbelt just to make checking times longer and overall make the line longer." I know almost all of it is for insurace but come on, really? A T-Bar would have sufficed.
  16. He Speaks the Truth: From Theme Park Review. Red. More Red.
  17. I have been noticing that too, I believe he is out enjoying the night rows......
  18. I did notice too that the ride was different then last year. Last year it really looked like you were in some sort of space port, now with the big huge doors right into the main queue it's flooded with exterior light. Also, the new location behind Space Spiral is horrible, as if it wasn't tucked away enough now it's almost impossible to find unless your really looking for it.
  19. So I was getting bored, and I know that Cedar Point has them so I decided to make some iPod Touch Wallpapers for Kings Island! The rides featured in them are Beast, Delirium, Diamondback, Drop Tower, Flight of Fear, Racer, Son of Beast, and Eiffel Tower. To get them on your iPod, save them to your desktop (Preferably in their own folder), then go into iTunes, and in your iPod settings go to photos, and it will give you the option of what photo folders to put on your iPod, and check the folder you put the photos in. Enjoy!
  20. 1. maXair - Hardly the same as Delirium. Faster, more swings, and a fantastic view of the main midway and Lake Eire. 2. Wildcat - You didn't like the kitty? I found it to be amazingly fun for it's size, and surprisingly fun! 3. Turbo Drop - It destroyes Drop Tower. Turbo drop actually launches you down, and it has several bounces afterwards giving you the feeling of Airtime. My 2 cents on those rides.
  21. Agree with you on some rides, not so much on others. Either way, glad you had a great time. It's practically impossible not to at Cedar Point, America's Rockin roller coast, ride on!
  22. You think getting stapled on a HUSS ride hurts for you? I never have understood the restraint system on those rides. Anyhow, I actually become semi-stapled at the first drop. Then it goes full on at the bottom of the second drop. I really don't mind, while I try in the station not to get stapled, I don't interrupt the ride experience to keep from it.
  23. My 2 cents on the Cedar Point rumor: When I was there for CoasterMania, the "Cleared Spot" was just some trees removed, nothing more. Also, it was isolated to just the tip of Millennium Island. If you saw what I saw, you would have doubts about a new coaster there. Also, if something were to go there, the biggest rumors have been Snake River Falls being removed to make room for a new water ride.
