What do you think about AE?
It'a a fun little ride. After riding Cedar Creek MIne Ride, I have a much greater respect for AE.

I actually like BLSC, it's fun. Lots of elements packed into one ride. At KI, Drop Tower is my favorite among Beast, Flight of Fear, Invertigo, and Delirium. You should go tomorrow.... if you can.

September 19, 2008
Just got back from the park. The place was as empty as I've ever seen and the weather was beautiful. Virtually everything we rode was a walk on. And being at the park after this week was as great as I expected. The kids had a ball too.

September 19, 2008
Well, it's been quite a week! No power for two plus days, trying to catch up with the housework, working, doing schoolwork with my kids... A stressful week!! What better escape from all of that than an evening at KI tomorrow night?!?!?

Do you hate constant screaming on non scary rides
Viking Fury is nothing but a screaming contest. I always head to it after lunch at Festhaus and scream until I'm blue in the face. I think it's really fun even though it's a fairly boring ride. Yeah, on Viking Fury the ride ops play it up as a screaming contest. That is about outdoing the other side of the boat and it's FUN!! But when the boat comes to a stop and people are still screaming when the restraints are released...........

Do you hate constant screaming on non scary rides
The only time it annoys me is when people are screaming profanities around my kids, or when they are screaming (not cheering) in the blocks when the ride is over.

19th and 20th
After no KI for three weeks and no power for what seemed like forever, I can't wait to be there ready to go at 5:00 on Friday..... There is no better escape from life's problems than that first ride on The Beast. I know that I will be sitting in the blocks at the end of that first ride and thinking "God, it's good to be here!!"

SFKK: Girl Injured in Accident
My guess is that the case will be settled and the terms will be confidential.

Is there a ride out there that has actually scared you?
Drop Tower and hanging in the harness on Invertigo scare me to death. I'm afraid of heights, but if i'm in a moving vehicle, I'm fine. Flying doesn't bother me at all. And roller coasters don't either. But when I'm hanging there, I'm afraid of falling, while at the same time saying "drop me and get me out of this". I know that is contradictory, but I suppose that's why phobias are "irrational fears"

Photo Update of DiamondBack from Sept 11th.
Wow. Moving right along I see. Can't wait to see the lift hill from King's Island Drive.

Tips for a HH first timer
And, another tip... It gets COLD after dark in October at KI!!!! Bring gloves if you are planning on riding any coasters!!!!!

Dayton Air Show Losing Money
Thank Gad he's ok. He has always put on a great show. As we know from last year's Dayton Air Show, others have not been so fortunate.

Tips for a HH first timer
Pick your "Top 5 list" before you go. The lines will be long to the point that you will be fortunate to complete that.

Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
I will have the same feeling this week. It will be a tough week at work. and I wont be able to ride The Beast after work......

Top gun & SOB
If FD is to be replaced, I believe that something similar to The Raven that would use the terrain would make a very nice addition to the park.

Loan v. Camden Park
An absolute joke..... Any lawyer who would take that case is, quite literally, a "Loan Shark"

SFMM: Man Scales Fence, Struck by Ninja Roller Coaster
I lost my badge (I am a "law enforcement officer") on a ride this year... I filled out the form, gave them my cell number, and received a call and the return of my badge before I left the park.... All of the park police and employees who were involved were very polite and professional!! by contrast, there are those who are willing to risk thwir lives for a hat....... There is something called a "Darwin Award" for them......

Enchanted Voyage Postcard
When I was a little kid, Enchanted Voyage was always one of my favorites, along with (of course) Bavarian Beetle.... Unfortunately they are both gone now..... But I am not.... for whatever that's worth:)

The Bradys Return to KI Photos
A great time!!!! When I knew the words to "Sunshine Day" and was singing while my kids were laughing at me, it felt as good as anything I've felt in a very long time..... Just absolutely fun!!!

Press Release: Inaugural Members of the Kings Island Walk of Fame
I believe that John Allen should be there. Where would we be without him?

Guests Say The Darnest Things
I'm almost 40 and I'm the only single person where I work.... When people find pout that I'm a coaster fan, I get teased a LOT!!! Yesterday I was tlaking to a lawyer about his first trip to KI in years, when I told him I had ridden 33 coasters this season, he said, laughingly, "You need a girlfriend."

Photo TR: Holiday World 8/4
I took my kids to HW for the first time this year. They loved it more than that penninsula up north. The chicken and dumplings were excellent, and, if your cashier was the same one we had back in July, she absolutely had heard the comparison to the prices at KI before. The workers there were wonderful!!! One little girl was off duty and talked to us in line for the Raven and ended up riding with my son. She was very kind to the boys even though she wasn't even working at the time!! My kids loved the diving show as well. And you described The Voyage almost word for word as I did!! Overall, that was a TR that I can relate to. You captured the spirit of a day at HW masterfully!!!

Kings Island Railroad Music
I don't either. But, irregardless of how many times they are told, some people will still use improper grammar....

Guests Say The Darnest Things
Sunday when it started raining, we took shelter in the arcade next to Larosa's in Rivertown. A married couple close to my age was there too and the husband said that he missed the lake. (Ok so far). Then he asked his wife if she remembered the dolphins in the lake. She said the dolphins were in a separate theater.... The ensuing argument was hilarious! My favorite part was when the wife said "Dolphins live in SALT!! water, you (expletive) idiot" Followed by the husband; "They must have put salt in that lake then" And the wife; "Don't ever try to teach our children anything, ok" Very entertaining, to say the least!!!!
