Hmmmmmm, may have to hit the Point the next weekend. Ive never been, are the crowds as awesomely light as they are for KIPN?
-
I will becoming sans Partner to this for sure now, He will be at the racetrack with a team he builds engines and does cylinder head work for. He wanted me to come as well, since I am also part of said engine building/pit crew, but I told Him there was no chance I was missing out on KIPN and the fun that ensues... not to mention the walk-ons most of the night.

I have gone solo other than 2009 (which was incidentally my first Pride Night), but I always have a great time with the group I meet up with there, which I know included you last year! Good times, except this year I will NOT ride Diamondsnore as many times as we all did last year!!!

Best, and only for me.

More like looking for where to wrap the prima cord.

So incredibly sad. R.I.P. Jason. -
Im with you, Gibson, you summed up everything I am feeling in your post (minus some of my personal feelings about the "Koch by name only" which I certainly cant post on a Family Forum) and I genuinely have less-than-zero desire to attend that park now... even though I only live an hour away now. The two, and only two, things that will change that are 1)for Pat and Dan to return full time to the park with that other one being shown the door and 2)For everyone to quit B.S.-ing and make the Timberliners run on The Voyage.

I will be there, it will be my 4th Pride Night . I am even going to try to convince my Partner to come with me to just enjoy the night, even though He isnt a rider .... otherwise I will be with the same merry band of Friends I attend with every year.

You are seriously going to nitpick this? Like you have never seen that word used to describe the sound of a cricket? SMFH. EDIT: A counter-thought here.... wouldnt it be a hoot if the "reported Intamin track on I-71 south" was headed to KK? DO I in any way fathom that being the case? Absolutely not, but it would be a jaw-dropper for sure.

We should, but instead..... crick crick crick crick.

"During off-season maintenance this past year, it was discovered that the Freedom Train needed restoration work for it to safely operate in the future. We are currently researching options for the train’s future here at Holiday World and will post updates about both trains here on the HoliBlog." That's PR spin for "We have already discovered its going to cost more to restore this train than precious profit/return will allow, but we already have too many PR problems to admit that right now, so enjoy the memories you had on the Freedom Train".

Sounds like the Grinch has infiltrated Santa Claus Land. Never again for me until that detestable "Koch by name only" woman is gone..... provided that happens before the park fails. Id rather see Kinzel running the place than her, and those who know me know that is saying a LOT!!!!! She is going to dig DEEP into her pockets to receive any Golden Wallet awards this year, from the sounds of how they are running that place.
-
I need one of those too, and its coming on June 6th via Cedar Point. It will be my first park trip of the year.

OK, I absolutely must agree with this entire statement. From 2004/5 on, he can stick it where the Sun don't shine, but prior to that I Respect... and am thankful for... what he did.

You do realize that SFDK is in Vallejo, California, right? $36/hr is about $72k/yr, and in Cali that doesnt get you much of anything. I will make no further comment on my thoughts on this whole situation, as my Screen name will allude to which group I am in favor of. For those who dont know, IBEW stands for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Holiday World Hotel?
IBEW_Sparky replied to FOFreak's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Not to mention the fact that, it will/would be FAR from the "affordable" category if/when it ever comes to fruition. Supply, demand, and location, location, location. See also, Hotel Breakers, Sandcastle Suites, Castaway bay, Great Wolf Lodge, etc etc etc. Maybe affordable under the old Guard, but no way under this New Order. -
By the end of summer, there will be nothing BUT concrete. The swan has all but sung on that place.
