I go just so I can try the test seat at Delirium and **** off the crew! No - I actually fit on all the rides - and I go just cause its fun. Like I could stay home or "hang out" at the mall. Or Meijer or the local gas staiton in Delirium Dreamer's case. Oh and I like roller coasters.

Isn't that feeling of seeing Cedar Point for the first time like shock? Those are some great shots. Nice to hear you had a good time at the best park in the world! As for the kids area - what do you mean? Theres Kiddie Kingdom and Camp Snoopy! And Snoopy Bounce! I would soooo take my little sister there!

I don't think its an Aqua Trax though I could be wrong.

It all started out as an innocent question - and ended up as a war between rides operations and a member of sound and self proclaimed wood coaster maintenence expert.

Just about the only thing you can do at 15 is games and food.

Thats awesome! Too bad hes not really doing that! -
Maybe it can be refurbished by HUSS. Yeah right. It isn't coming back.
-
It was white with stripes. I don't think being buck naked would have made a difference - it was so hot. It really cooled down when the storm blew in.
-
Don't know about that. I wore a polo to Holiday World when I went - and I was about to melt. Then again the heat index was like well over 100.

Some members like to think they are.

That would be awesome if they did. For some reason I always have a soft spot for HUSS rides. I know the frisbee being built at Canobie Lake Park got held up at customs because of the bankruptcy. They had already recieved some pieces - but were still waiting on others. For this reason I doubt that unless the park already has the complete ride in storage somewhere - we won't be getting a HUSS.

Sparky knows his stuff... And even if someone does get paid to push buttons - that doesn't mean theyre an idiot. Like fixing animatronics and sound systems and cash registers doesnt qualify you any more as an expert on linear magnetic braking than a "lap bar monkey"... How magnetic brakes work. You might even learn a thing or two!

I agwee wit Elmer Fudd on this won. Cedar Fair said the capital expendatures will remain the same. They did not say that we would be getting exactly what Paramount had planned... The only reason I said I wouldn't be too surprised to see a Screamin Swing is that Cedar Fair seems to like them - having installed one at several of their parks. Additionally I heard something about Carowinds possibly getting one - instead of the Italian Job they were supposed to get. It is probably all rumor though. I wouldn't mind not getting a ride - if they could put that capital into sprucing, er cedaring up the park.
-
Nor are the ones at the end of the ride I believe. I heard they still maintain a quite potent magnetism even when the ride is keyed off.

I had some of that cotton candy last time I was up there. It was pretty good. I also had an Icee and Pretzel too - and thats all I had to eat the whole day! -

Or maybe Def Leppard! I don't get why everyone is saying LIM track has been spotted.... There isn't anything up there that looks like LIM track. -

I have never seen a live show at Kings Island. I will not support the live entertainment of any organization that does not support all forms of lodging! No not really - I just never got around to it. Maybe well get a dive show or something. I will miss the parade though. -
Since when does sound deal with brakes? I thought sound only got involved if the speakers or lift cam went out. And even then - its more likely to be an example of - "we know the lift speakers don't work - we'll fix it after close". Or better yet "the sound system broke cause you keep sticking paper in the buttons". I was once told by sound that the buttons dont latch - when they CLEARLY did latch in the beginning of the season. And some of the other buttons still do.

Crazyness. No more kickin it all over town. The party won't get out of bounds. Might as well stay off your feet, no need to dance. -

Perhaps a 2 track dueling coaster? I heard the thing about the track also - and that the other track was green. -
Linear Magnetic Brakes use permanent rare earth magnets. There is no electricity involved. When the fins pass over the magnets, eddies are created in the fins, and the magnets try to grip onto them. The amount of grippage depends on the momentum of the train. There is no computer control. Now I don't know whether or not Beast uses electromagnets - but it would be pretty stupid when earth magnets self adjust to train loads.

I wouldn't mislead you, Adam. Sorry Ryan I didn't mean you. I meant Lion Sleeps Tonight. Hes all - were getting a tilt coaster! No were getting a dive machine! No were getting a jump 2 - heres a pic! (insert pic of topple tower). Like normally I'm not one to talk bad about PKIC members - but I have to say he doesnt have a clue what hes talking about. Like if Lion Sleeps Tonight said we were getting a HUSS ride - and KI took delivery of crates with the HUSS logo stamped on them - I STILL wouldn't believe it.
-
I have heard many rumors about the new ride. But any time you post something - I automatically know thats what were NOT getting. It isn't anything by HUSS. I guarantee you that. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Screamin Swing.
-
Actually that has absolutely nothing to do with the computer. It is the nature of linear magnetic brakes. They slow the train down proportional to its momentum. The faster it is moving, or the heavier it is - the harder the braking force is. It is all done with no control - and with no power or moving parts.
