And they have since abandoned that design. You can't buy them anymore. They replaced it with the thrill lift coaster.
-
what is the new ride for next season?
TheKlockster replied to rollerocasterfreak's topic in Coming Attractions
You might as well forget about ever getting a Topple Tower or Jump2. EVER. It isn't going to happen! -
Yeah go ahead and count me in!
-
I could always help with the tshirt - I have some photoshop skillz.
-
Vekoma is done with the tilt coasters. It was replaced with the thrill lift coaster - none of which have ever been built.
-
Busch Gardens has a non compete agreement with B&M - so we can't get a dive machine. If we got The Core - it would be a Eurofighter or something.

That padding destroyed my cell phone! The Beast claimed its second Klockster cell phone! I think The Beast owes me 100 bucks. It costs me 50 every time I have the thing replaced - and that is with the handset insurance! I still think it is a really fun ride. I have been on better - much better - like the Voyage. But something about The Beast still gets me back in the line. I typically wont ride something if it has more than a 5 minute line - but I'll wait for Beast up to an hour.
-
I would think they would still give you the passes. You only get free parking if you renew though.
-
It should be some kind of unique shirt that only the people on the trip get!
-
Grab and go breakfast! Then every man for himself at the parks! It saves time and is easier!
-
I think that for the MAXX pass holders - it shouldn't cost that much. Its like 3 or so nights in a hotel - rooming with other people. Then the bus fare.
-
I would prefer like Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday or something. I work during the week - as do alot of other people.
-
Have everyone meet at the home park - and take it from there.
-
Early season and late season have the best lines. So I say early June.
-
I say everyone stay at home, and go to Kings Island. Then we leave around 4 or so - and drive up to Geaga Lake and stay in the hotel night one. Then visit Geauga Lake all day, and leave at park close and drive to Cedar Point. Stay in a hotel night 2. Then visit Cedar Point all day, stay in a hotel night 3. Then visit Cedar Point all or most of day 4 - and drive home that night. So 4 days, 3 nights.
-
I might go - it depends on how much it ends up costing. If I get into all the parks for free - then all it really costs is hotel and bus fare.
-
They also like to ruin the money shot!

13 Edit: I just wanted to apologize for anybody I may have offended by calling the one member of this forum who voted "51-60" in the demographics topic - a geezer. I think I know who voted for that - and it was meant as a joke. Hence the after my post. Anyways - sorry if I offended anyone - I meant no harm!

No that is not true. PKIVortex is right - there are a number of monitors - connected to cameras that can see in the dark. It isn't possible to go above the saucer. It is possible to go underneath the station though.
-
Well you know Bremen Germany is sort of close to The Netherlands...

Wow there is someone on here in their 50s! What a geezer! 22 going on 23 here. My 23rd birthday is my 2nd anniversary with PKICentral.

This whole reason is why Intamin has gone back to permanent earth magnets on their coasters. Take the roll back brakes on Dragster. They take air to lower to allow the train to launch. After the train passes, the air evacuates and springs or something of the like shoots the fins up. In the event of a power failure, and air pressure loss, the brake fins will shoot upwards on their own. Now I hear even this sytem can fail - but I don't know if it is true. Rumor is - this last really bad breakdown Kingda Ka had - it launched and something happened during the launch. The brake fins did not raise, but thankfully the train made it over. Like I said I don't know if this is true, and I like to err on the side of skepticism - but it is just what I heard. And even earth magnets can fail. There are a few natural phenomena that can cause this - such as the north and south magnetic poles flipping. Edit: Dur! I didn't see page 3!

Griffon officially announced
TheKlockster replied to Reclaimer's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Man! The worlds tallest, fastest dive machine! The worlds first floorless dive machine! The worlds first giant dive machine! Designed in Switzerland. Fabricated in Batavia, OH. Erected in Williamsburg, VA. I want to ride it so bad! -
That info comes from PKI.com. That is pretty good news. Free Parking for renewers - and the discounted child/senior pass. The prices are not posted yet.

How many times did you visit the park this season?
TheKlockster replied to BoddaH1994's topic in KI Polls
Yeah I practically did live there but it was fun. Latest I ever stayed in the park was 2:45 am.
