  1. Hes the guy in the blue - and may or may not actually be a member of PKICentral!
  2. Well I headed up to Cedar Point with my boss from work - and some people from his church group. The park was really crowded - but I still had alot of fun. I got one new-to-me coaster: Mantis. It was MUCH better than Chang. I only rode it once - but I would definately ride it again - unlike Chang. Got on Magnum right after some downtime - so I didn't have to wait long for it. Magnum is still an awesome ride! I met up with my friend Brian on his break. He said that Cedar Point is alot better than Holiday World - and he has spent a LOT of time at both - so its not just my opinion. Waited 1.25 hours for an awesome ride in the back seat of Raptor. Then I got two rides on Gemini. That is about all I got to ride - cause of the crowds - but I still had a fantastic time. The weather was great - and it was just alot of fun in general. I can't wait to go back! Cedar Point - 30 mile! Group Discount! Mantis - my number 39 - and great ride! Lake Erie took a dump on the park. maXair was sooo much better than Delirium! Brian at the Demon Drop! 1.25 hour line for Raptor - but well worth the wait! I know - I'm a dork. New for 2007 The speed roll is my favorite inversion! Iron Dragon got evacuated. Goodbye Cedar Point! Thanks for a GREAT day - and I can't wait to return. BEST PARK EVER!
  3. I was up there yesterday - and they have a fence around part of the construction area. It is funny though because they have drilled peep holes in the fence. There are certain spots they want you to see - and certain spots they are hiding.
  4. Yeah I saw a height scale up at Group Sales at Cedar Point - as well as some signs at the entrance that have a line showing various heights - and what they can ride.
  5. I hear they have added gatorade to the selection down there too.
  6. That is a great episode. I have taped it and watched it a few times. Its just hilarious!
  7. Dive machines look great. I haven't been on any of the coasters at my old home park.... Too afraid of them back then!
  8. That is hilarious. Kind of reminds me of that video - How to be Emo.
  9. Lucky! I wish I could go to both SFNE and SFGAdv this year... Those Intawoods sound great! I hear they are as smooth or smoother than steel coasters!
  10. Come again? It may or may not be open... My money is on may not...
  11. Yeah weird that it doesn't mention CBS or Cedar Fair.
  12. The stick is just a long handle that you can buy in the paint department at Home Depot. They also have stoppers and colored 2 inch wide electrical tape there as well. Everything you need to make a height stick - if you really do love them that bad...
  13. Actually it is only 47 feet higher than Son of Beast. Son of Beast is 218 feet high - and Drop Zone's DROP is 265 feet (the tower is 315 - NOT the drop). But Son of Beast's drop is 55 degrees and Drop Zone is 90. So the drop seems like alot more. But yeah if you think about it - you're only about 50 feet higher than the top of Son of Beast - though when you're up there you would hardly believe it if you're sitting in a seat facing Son of Beast.
  14. Yeah thats how I ride now. It is so much fun. I almost always ride facing Skyflyer's arch also - so its funny when you pass the top of it and realize youre just a little over half way up.
  15. Ah ok - I was thinking you were talking about Cedar Points event. I can understand Universal's - they take it over the top.
  16. It might be 3 very long seconds... It is actually 5 seconds from the time you hear the motor turn off. Closing your eyes makes it way worse. I actually was scared to death of the ride until my 5th ride on it - when I looked down from the top and realized that it's only as high as the Eiffel Tower - and is going to be fun. Now I keep my eyes open the whole time - and don't hold on during the drop. It is the best ride at the park.
  17. So under Cedar Fair season pass holders can expect to have to buy tickets like everyone else in October? Even if they don't go to any of the haunted attractions?
  18. There's nothing wrong with that - as long as you didn't ride Flight of Fear, Face/Off, Delirium or Tomb Raider.
  19. Dodgem Greeter has a regular height stick. Alot of people - and I have done it alot - find out that the height sticks bounce really high if you throw them down on the rubber end. But then it ends up shortening it. Good thing is you can just put a new stopper on it - or adjust the old one. With Cedar Point's PVC - and Holiday World's for that matter - once they start to shorten you gotta get a new one.
  20. Yeah that guys such a meanie head.
  21. Heres a good list of where to get your wristbands. Most of these are fairly close to the front gate - so you can hit them real quick for a wrist band early in the day. I didn't list all of the rides with the given height requirements - just some close to the front gate - and ones with easy access or greeters who can check without actually riding. Orange - 54 inches - Delirium or Face/Off Purple - 48 inches - Drop Zone, Top Gun, Racer Green - 44 inches - Adventure Express Blue - 40 inches - Scrambler, Monster, Shake, Rattle & Roll, Fairly Odd Coaster Yellow - 36 inches - Blue's Skidoo
  22. Hey - even I have been stuck in a gate. I was like - empty seat - OMG! My crew saw me going for it - and closed the gates - and I didn't make it. It just about cut me in 2!
  23. I am pretty sure you'd be second. I would definately be first... I love teh t00mz and his l33t arkitex0rzing...
  24. There was one time I got yelled at while I was on the floor - for the gate pinning someone. The gate slammed closed on this kid running for an empty seat. I saw it out of the corner of my eye going for him, and I grabbed the gate and pulled back on it - but it just ended up throwing me. Tried to stop it though - and still got yelled at for being a F***ING IDIOT for pinning their kid - and of course I (who had nothing to do with it) got a bad GR. Still that sucks about your brother. I would have gone to GR too if they just didn't notice it and let him sit there pinned for a bit. It has happened to me - and didn't hurt that bad to me - but I imagine it could hurt or be really scary for a kid. But usually - we realize someone is in the gates as they're closing - and try to flip them open as soon as possible.
  25. Actually no it doesn't. I usually ****ed all the rednecks off by slowing down their car from the control booth. Only to have the grandmas win....Ah good times. I didn't even know you could actually control speed.!
