Pauls CP Trip Report

400 photos? -
OK - that wasn't in there the first time I read it. They must have added to it when they recieved more information.
-
I take it you were there? It said they experienced discomfort - didn't say they got bloodied...
-
Yeah - I have had some god awful rides on it since they "fixed" it.
-
I wonder if there will be any kind of release about it - like for the media - explaining exactly what happened.
-
Good to hear that Maple. Hopefully it will be reopen soon.
-
Actually - it kind of looks like something happened elsewhere on the ride - and as a result the ride E-Stopped (whether an auto-e-stop or an operator e-stop). Though it is possible the event in question happened on the lift hill... We'll have to wait and see. Hopefully it isn't anything major. When accidents happen on amusement rides - especially big rides - and especially big accidents on big rides - it really sucks. They are so rare - but they do happen. You never think it's going to happen to you. Hopefully the people that went to the hospital are just going to be on the safe side - and aren't badly injured.
-
Yeah I just saw this on channel 12. They said riders complained of discomfort after the ride. I guess everyone has different info. Too bad I'm not up at the park with my scanner!
-
What are you guys talking about? Backside is probably the worst position at Flight of Fear - but I still like it. You only have to check 2 cars for one... Then you get to yell at people to stay behind the yellow line. And another fun thing about it is that you get to guest relate to the people in line for the back seat.
-
Do you know what Vortex used to be? Someone told me it was a girls ride when I got hired for it.
-
A friend of mine - who is a guy - works on Magnum with other guys and girls...
-
I guess Kings Island finally realized it was a bad idea...
-
I only had one run in with Kevin - and it went something like this. Kevin: "What kind of meat do you like?" Me: Kevin: "Ham or Turkey" Me: "Turkey" Kevin: "Cool" All the operations team are great - the full timers and seasonal ops managers.

...well beagles have teeth & claws--I don't think sponges do Also, Snoopy has always struck me as a lot smarter than Spongebob, so he'd also have the advantage there... And, finally, I'd rather have Woodstock watching my back rather than Patrick any day!! Judging by Snoopy's imagination - and his mad sk1llz - I would definately agree with you that Snoopy was smarter. And another thing to consider. They could just have the voice of the schoolteacher from Peanuts do all of the autospiels - since people don't listen to / hear them anyway. Wah wah wah wah waaaahhh. Wah wah WAH?
-
Still - in no holds barred hand to hand combat - who would win - Snoopy or Spongebob?
-
Express isn't brand themed.

Jill is awesome! She's great at what she does - and shes really cool too.
-
As someone who rode Tomb Raider 14 times in a row - I can say it is definately worth the wait if you have never been on it. I typically don't wait more than 30 mins for it - which is a line extending a bit out of the cave. But I have done it alot - so there's no need for me to wait longer.
-
Yeah - CBS licensed it right? They would essentially be starting a new company for these Asian parks. As far as the litigation thing - I know Timber Terror at Silverwood was originally named Grizzly - but had to change its name because of the same name being used at a Paramount park. Kind of surprising they could trademark a name like that. I mean how many Big Dipper, Little Dipper and Cyclones are there out there? Besides - Grizzly is highly appropriate for Silverwood!
-
If we had to change the name of PKIC..

Yeah the park probably wont lose the Paramount until the opening of 2007. -
Anyone ever rode Top Thrill Dragster?
TheKlockster replied to cincyboy0830's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
A friend of mine is obsessed with drag racing - and even drag races himself in his souped up Camaro down at Edgewater. He found Top Thrill Dragster to be boring. Hes taken off with more speed and force than Dragster's launch, and same with the brakes. For him the only redeeming quality was the tower - since he isn't that fond of heights. I got to ride in his Camaro once - and he took off in the parking lot in front of where we worked. He only sped up to about 45 - but it happened so quick. Most intense launch I have evern been on. -
That sounds like, uhhh, a personal disclosure. <G> Like I said - that's just what I heard. I just wanted to be the one to repeat it on here.
