I hope that Cedar Fair will install line seperators at every major coaster. I know there are days I would have killed to have a seperator at Vortex.

Anyone ever rode Top Thrill Dragster?
TheKlockster replied to cincyboy0830's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
^ LMAO! Everytime people talk about Rollbacks that's what I think of. I was there the same day as shadow2k3 - and it did indeed rollback several times while he was in line. Alot of people riding were hoping it would be them. -
They cost 3 million bucks. There isn't really a need for it though. Coney does just fine.
-
Its a fun ride. Its overshadowed by the bigger rides at PKI - but if it was at a park like Coney Ohio - it would be one of the bigger rides.

Face/Off will become Invertigo. The one at PGA is already named Invertigo. Top Gun - Iron Dragon Drop Zone - Demon Drop Tomb Raider - Top Spin Extrëm -
Reptar is also the inverted version of Roller Skater at SFKK... On IJST - you can feel that LIM pushing you out of the billboard. It feels like youre just rolling along and someone hits the gas.

Smoothest ride I ever had on The Beast

If the nylon falls off of the wheel - they just park it on the transfer table and replace it. It isn't a big deal. It has not / would not cause the ride to get stuck... -

Well said CoastersRZ. -
I am hearing they are getting a 501 foot Intamin Wing Rider. What an upset to Cedar Point! The record gets taken by a tiny park in Cincinnati!
-
Hell probably keep the flume and the eagle - and charge people a fee per ride to experience them. I mean hes opening a camp ground right there.
-
They are getting rid of their "non core assets". That means Six Flags Magic Mountain, Six Flags Great America and Six Flags Great Adventure will be the last three parks to go. It sounds like they are selling Darien Lake. That looks like a pretty good park - with a Ride of Steel and an Arrow Megalooper. Edit - I didn't see that SFMM is indeed one of the properties up for sale! What the heck?? That is like the Dukes of Hazard selling the General Lee!

The company that fabricates all Bolliger & Mabillard designs for the Americas and Eastern Asia is indeed based in Batavia, OH. The company used to be SOFCO - but has since changed its name to CSF - Clermont Steel Fabricators. They also did all the steel fabriction for the recent UC Clifton construction.

Nice signature!

I rode Vortex the other day and it was so rough. Then Beast was actually smooth as glass. I rode Vortex today - and it is running really well. I got some true vo-tex flava. -
Its being rethemed to Linus's Camp Extreme.

What would you suggest bringing in the park?
TheKlockster replied to becca011906's topic in Kings Island
You can't bring food or drink in the park though. So you would have to go back out to your car to eat. That's not that big a deal though. My group did that up at Cedar Point for opening day - though myself and Alien Seed had to do the whole themed restaurant thing... -

Yeah the magnetic brakes are much better - at least from a maintenence standpoint. The old brakes are probably the worst kind of brakes - as far as wear and tear goes. Also they did not always slow the train the same amount. If it was raining it would go faster. The magnetic brakes have no moving parts - and no contact surfaces. They don't wear out. Also the amount they slow the train down is proportional to the speed of the train. -
Yeah - he means don't be stapled. Which is perfectly safe and reasonable. You shouldn't have any space between your legs and your restraint though.
-
When you are there 95% of the days the park is open in a season - you have plenty of time to ride everything. When I did the 14 in one day on Tomb Raider - I started around noon and kept going till 6.
-
They are both awesome. Skyflyer might be a little scarier. I can never make up my mind. After I ride Slingshot I think Skyflyer is scarier - then after Skyflyer I think Slingshot is scarier. Have a nice day.
-
A lot. Maybe 15 or so in one day. I never really counted. I know I have done Son of Beast 14 times in one day, and same with Tomb Raider - and I have done bigger Vortex marathons than Son of Beast or Tomb Raider.
-
The worst ride on that list would be a Beast wheel seat ride. But if you are referring to overall - I would say that Italian Job is the worst.
