Actually I think it was the Lemon Chill Guy's second cousin. Fo shizzle.

This year they play alot of Techno/Trance in Coney Mall. I remember last year they played Ready to Go - the Top Thrill Dragster theme - down by Vortex. I just about have the NU soundtrack memorized - though I can't really recall which songs are on it. Like if I was NU - I could probably sing along with the songs and tell you which one is coming up next though. They play that song that was in Legally Blonde - Perfect Day or whatever it is, the Lazy Town theme and a bunch of other really annoying songs.

Thats good. Rap seriously sucks.

I don't want to say anything detailed about it - I just know a security officer who was present at the event when it happened - and said there was a gun. I did not see it for myself, so I don't really know.

I have a cool Vortex shot. But I don't know if I want it on a bunch of bottles of Jones.

That is like saying Winterfest is disrespectful to religions. I think it was a good idea. I mean if you're not into that thing - you can always just brush it off. They're not forcing anything on you. One of the things that makes Holiday World so great is the fact its family owned and operated - and run with good values. I personally am not religious - but I am not offended by other peoples displays of religion.

It was not brought in by a guest...

What about the Flying Eagles? The ride that singlehandedly got me over my fear of amusement parks and thrill rides.

I know one of the security guys who dealt with the situation. We worked at Target together this off season. There was indeed a gun.

Someone brought a gun to that Pretty Ricky concert last year.

Best Flat - Drop Zone Best Coster - Vortex or Flight of Fear

I remember Siebert said HB expired in 2008, and the SDATHC thing ran out in 2012. This was at The Beast ERT on the last day of the 2004 season.

Finally caught on film!

Theres probably a pretty good chance Tomb Raider and Delirium will open and close throughout the day - so if you go and it is closed - just check back later. And a good suggestion - if you see a ride cycling empty - that should by no means be interpreted as a sign that the ride will be opening soon... Everyone sees them cycling empty and gets in line. Then you end up wasting alot of your time baking in the hot sun. You will actually end up waiting less if you just come back when you know for sure it is open.

Two questions for TRTR Guy. Were any associates talking on their cell phones during ride cycles? Did you get a money shot?

Vortex was only closed for about two and a half hours on Sunday. I was standing out in front of the line guest relating from until about 20 minutes before it opened - then I walked the people in. But yeah I don't agree with the "s*** happens" attitude - and it is especially inappropriate coming from a Kings Island mechanic.
-
Yeah no kidding. Vortex and Son of Beast were both closed because Tech Services was haulin' ass trying to get to all their problems. I guess it didn't help that one of their techs was down at Holiday World "tippin glasses".

Sounds like a good trip. I have to agree with you about Legend being better than Raven. Glad you guys had fun.

I doubt they would come out and tell all the season pass holders that they need to pay an extra 50 bucks or something this year if they want to keep their passes. That is just bad business. Hopefully they will have either a one price pass that gets you into everything, or a season pass for Kings Island, then an add on for the rest of the CF parks. I would buy it - but know many people who would not. So hopefully they do not make it mandatory to an all parks pass - which will undoubtedly be much more expensive than just a KI one.

I've never heard anyone say that about Beast. Is something up with Beast this year? No, Klockster is just anti-Beast. I had no problem with Beast until that last ride. Do keep in mind I rode it 11 times in a row without getting out of my seat for the National Geographic shooting last September. I was in seat 33, and it was extremely rough. I was not anti-beast until last weekend.

Both Son of Beast rides I have had this year were quite enjoyable. I did however basically say that ^ on my last two Beast rides this year. It was the first time I was actually brought to tears by a roller coaster. Thankfully I didn't need to go to first aid - but it took me about 10 minutes of resting before I was able to make that decision.

There was a problem this year that Dick Dastardly's Biplanes last year had a height requirement of 36" last year. Then this year it was raised to 40" (now themed to Blue's Skidoo). Except the map said it was 36" still. So the first couple days they had a greeter at the line entrance to Blues Skidoo - basically to stand there and get *****ed at. I got to do it for two hours. I probably height checked 200 or more kids - and turned away a good 150 - 50% of which had parents that gave me a rude comment. I did however get a compliment from one guest - who said they appreciated how we look out for kids saftey. That was nice to hear on such a stressful day.

O.K, but wasn't Italian Job: Stunt Track at least 15 million? It had to have been pricey, what with all the bells, whistles, and special effects it has. I believe I read somewhere that it cost about 4 million Canadian dollars.

Yeah no kidding. The other day all the queues were filled - and the line was back to Happy Days. That's like well over an hour. But Son of Beast had all of its queues filled. So the park was pretty packed.

Did you ask to be stapled or something?
