Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events
TheKlockster replied to familyman's topic in Kings Island
I think it was more of a behind the scenes tour. It would have all kinds of props and maybe animatronics from the movie. You would walk through it and view the props. -
This is actually the third thread to this topic in a couple days. Ok - PKI beat CP in attendence. That doesn't mean CP is worse. Look at its location. Its near Clevelend and Toledo. Look at PKI. Near Cincinnati, Columbus, Indianapolis, Lexington, Louisville etc. I think the only reason PKI beat CP was the "new" waterpark.

I have a Sony Digital-8. Its like an 8mm, but it has the firewire and everything - and the quality is better. -

Ill be the guy there with two cameras! -
You think that's bad? When I was riding SOB during Fearfest (which I did alot), I noticed that on the big helix, there was actually a deck of fog. Like at the top you would be above it, then as you dropped down into it, it would get bright right when you were at eye level with it. Then when you were below it you could look up at it. It was the wierdest thing!
-
Did you ride Dueling Dragons?
-
SOB is the SUPREME GOD of all Amusment Rides. It's totally B*TCHIN! The Raven might be a King, but it must pay homage to SOB every year.
-
I like Coney just the way it is. I like it alot better in the normal season than in Fearfest though. With the moving lights on The Racer and Vortex, and all the amusement park atmosphere. It just feels too dead during Fearfest. And considering that most of the days I went were during Fearfest, I haven't got to experience a lot of the normal Coney Mall. One update they could make is make that hammer swing game easier.
-
Not to mention that I don't think B&M make a coaster small enough to fit in Coney!
-
A B&M sit down called "Chese Coney". Yellow spine - brown rails and trains themed to hot dogs.
-
They redirected the index.html to PKIC. And the forums are down. But everything else is still up. But there is really no point in going there as PKIC has everything PKIU used to have and MUCH more!
-
Actually he is probably referring to THESE! http://www.pkiunlimited.com/construction_tour.php
-
Sure they do. Those are the listed records for SOB. Its on the site www.rcca.com - the people who built the thing. And they did such a great job - they couldn't have done it better!
-
I noticed that. Unlike most coasters, SOB is rougher in the front. Records SOB holds 1 - Tallest Wood Roller Coaster 2 - Fastest Wood Roller Coaster 3 - Second Longest Wood Roller Coaster 4 - Only Looping Wood Roller Coaster 5 - Tallest Wood Roller Coaster Drop 6 - Second Tallest Wood Roller Coaster Drop 7 - Tallest Free-standing Wooden Structure Lucky seven for SOB

Geauga Lake to Make announcement 10 Nov.
TheKlockster replied to familyman's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I think they just bought it to keep another company from getting it, like possibly Paramount. -
IJST will have mediocre capacity. Not great, but not terrible. Yes, don't plan on riding it too much when it first opens. But as time marches on, it will die down.
-
I must concede, that yes, it is possible. However, I think it is HIGHLY unlikely. The three major theme park chains are CF, PP and SF. If CF bought PP, that would leave two - SF and CF. And more competition is good for business.
-
You mean that Chain Lift launch? Yeah, they sure beat the hydraulic launches!
-
What evidence do you have? Kinzel was here to check out Duhlee. PP would not sell PKI unless they dumped all their parks. And if they were going to do that, they would not be putting money in to them like they are.
-
Yeah, you gotta have fun on the offseason!
-
I hope to ride Python, as well as Boa Squeeze in the future. I just don't see how anyone could claim its their favorite?
-
I have been to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay three times. The whole park is African themed. They even have an animal part, with a monorail that goes over it.
-
Well, what I said was based of what somebody told me, and the park map. If its wrong, its not my problem. I'm not too worried about it.
