I don't remember where I saw it - but it was in plain sight, back in the days of PKIU. I was just making the point that this idea is absurd.

Everyone knows your last name! And aren't you the moron police?

Canada's Wonderland looks like a really cool park. Is that TRTR a pay per ride? It looks like very low capacity. And how is Sledgehammer? That looks really fun. I think youre right about the SARS connection to PCW. But Italian Job will probably increase it a good 10%. Plus I think PKI will get a lot of people coming in for IJST. People I have talked to, and or showed the trailer to, say they will make a special trip to the park just for that ride. These are people who Im friends with, who rarely go to PKI - some of them havent been for years. But they are excited about the Italian Job. I think PKI will increase another 5-7 percent next year too. With maXair, CP will probably gain a few percentages. They were probably on the decline cause people got so excited about TTD, but then got bored with it. maXair will not make CPs rate skyrocket though, cause people have already flocked to PKI to ride Duhlee. But Im sure that with sociopolitical things being stable, for the time being, and maXair, you will see a 3-5% increase over 2004. But thats still a net of 1% decrease over 2003. I guess we will have to wait and see. I am by no means a business person.

I am still confused after all these months! Is Stella a real person?
-
He is doing one of three things: 1 - Spamming the board to get his post count up 2 - Trying to incite a flame war 3 - Just being funny - a jokester

Whats the big deal? You are on The Beast crew, but are quick to go on and on and on how Beast sucks next to Legend and Raven. Now you are saying the Pepsi Python is the best steel coaster you've ever done? Have you ever done Vortex, Flight of Fear, Face/Off, Top Gun, or Rugrats Runaway Reptar? And I take it you've never been to Cedar Point either. Are you serious, or just being funny?
-
First of all, owning PKI would not be a wise move for Cedar Fair. Competition is good for business. Secondly, I dont think the elevators are going to become a new launch attraction. And I do not think the tower is being painted red and orange.

Aaron Spriggs - where are you?
-
Yeah - SFKKs Action Theater equivalent is showing Stargate SG-3000!

Any pics are great! I would like to see some SOB or Beast pics. As far as IJ:ST, wide angles are good. Especially if you are taking them a lot - like if you regularly fly over it. If you follow the same flight path over it, and take the photo at the same spot each time, we can put them together for a time lapsed movie of it.

Those lights are bizarre. It seems they always come on as i come back to the station. Probably 80% of my Beast rides have been at night, and when I come back, i see the light behind the fan turn on just before I enter the station. But I didn't realize till one time I was in the station what it was. It makes that wierd sound and the lights start moving around, and I was like WTF? I have no idea what they add to the theming.

I think the ride operation is being reprogramed. The reason PKI hasn't done it earlier is that HUSS told them that HUSS had to come out and do it. If it was just theming, then HUSS wouldn't care if PKI did it - all they care about is the ride.
-
More is meant by Program than music and effects. Huss Top Spins operate on different modes. In Roller Coaster Tycoon, it calls them Beginners, Intermediate and Berserk. I am not sure what the programs are really called, but TRTR is on the equivalent of Beginners now. When HUSS comes to reprogram the ride, it will be longer in length, and probably do faster flips, and more of them. It will probably be upgraded to 'intermediate'. Expect a longer and more exciting experience next season!

Part of the Nutcracker Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy I showed it to my grandma, and the first thing she did was get confused about it not being accurate to PKI! She didn't realize it is symbolic of ALL Paramount Parks.
-
So, is that supposed to be PKI? Cause it looks like the snowmen are riding The Beast but on a SOB train. Oh well. Its a funny little animation - who cares if its accurate?
-
I just got an email from Paramount directing me to the following url. Holiday Wishes from PKI Its kind of corny, but I thought it was funny. Did anybody else get this email?

I got to stay on a bunch on various rides. Vortex never let me - even if there was nobody in line. But SOB sure did - I got like 9 rides in a row without getting off. And I have got five on Beast, and 3 on recaR before without having to get off. I hope they dont enforce that rule, cause it works for the guests who want to stay on, and it works for the guests just now getting on because heavier trains are more exciting. Plus it will seriously dampen my ability to set a new one day record for SOB next year!

Hershey Park scraps Turbulence

Yeah. I looked dull. I wouldn't think it would be worth 2 million, let alone 3.2! It looked like it might be a level 3 on intensity. Maybe they will get a cool ride instead. -
Are you level 1 Alien Seed? I know it looked like it would be a fun job on that Tomb Raider video - where they show the ride from the control booth. So I guess not all Rides associates can drive? Some are doomed to a season of restraint-checking? Is it a seniority thing, or does it just mean you are trained more?
-
I will admit, I haven't done any other ones outside PKI. But I will probably at least quadruple my coaster count next season. I am going to HW, SFKK, CP, Strickers Grove and hopefully Geauga Lake next season. Perhaps more. And I will be very surprised if any coasters at any of those parks push SOB out of my Number 1 position. Millenium Force MIGHT, but Ill have to wait and see. I know records don't make the rides great. I think Adventure Express is great. I love it and always make it a point to ride it when I am at the park. I have at least as many rides on AE as I do Beast or SOB. But the fact that SOB is a record holder, and my favorite is purely coincidental. The rides I am most looking forward to riding in the future are Phantom's Revenge at Kennywood, Tremors! at Silverwood and Millenium Force at Cedar Point. If SOB ever gets bumped, you'll be the first to know!
-
Thats awesome! You get to test ride rides as part of your job! I guess it makes sense - you shouldn't be running a ride you haven't ever rode. But that right there has to beat all the other perks of working there. The only perk of working at Staples is an occasional 12% discount on everything except computers. What is meant by level one?
-
When I rode it, with my uncle, it was only 20 bucks for both of us. We didn't get the video though. We rode it at night, so there wasn't much to see but me screaming like an Irish Schoolgirl. I had a blast though. It is such a great ride, and I recommend it to anyone. Its probably the closest youll ever get to being an astronaut. You get to feel the launch, and the zero gravity all in one great ride! Well worth the pricetag - especially if you get a sale!
-
30 times? Are you rich, or do you get to "test" it out as an employee for free? 30 times - that would be 600 bucks if you were a paying customer! I want to ride it at least twice next year - Im going to try and catch a sale when it comes up.
