  1. Wow, that's ever so slightly obsessive man I can't wait to see the mad rush for Diamondback once the gates are opened. And the knowledge that I'll be right there in it only makes it seem that much better
  2. Yeah, I get a warning message when attempting to log in as well. But all I have to do to get past it and get onto the forums is re-type KICentral.com into my browser and re-enter the forums. And yeah the site is running slow but that's cause I have two computers and a PS3 all drawing internet from the same crappy wireless router XD
  3. I've never been to BB so I wouldn't know. I guess I'll have to check it out next season
  4. I guess that would depend on where exactly you live. Over here in Trenton we're expecting to be snowed in until Spring. Sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, that wasn't a lie so much as wishful thinking. It was snowing all day here but it was too light to do anything. No accumulation and it looks as though I'm still going to have to drag myself out of bed at 6 tomorrow morning.
  5. Should've invited them to your van in the parking lot for some milk, cookies, and free candy. I find it funny to scare, terrorize, horrify, and generally freak people out.
  6. I don't know alot about the music that's played in the park because I generally have one or both of my headphones in playing my Ipod, but I do remember waiting for the park to open one day while waiting outside of the metal detectors, Green Grass & High Tides by The Outlaws came on the speakers. I love that song, epic solos
  7. Enjoy it while you can. These days, I must look like I'm in the Army when I go to KI because everyone calls me "Sir." I swear that wasn't me....sir *Salutes*
  8. After Saturday (I was also present, 11AM-1AM) I have to say I won't ever be going to the Haunt again either. I only made it through two mazes (Death Row and Trail of Terror) before I was done. I'm very easily scared and needless to say I just about died going through those two, although I heard from the other people I was with, who went through all the rest, that the ones I did were the only two ones. But back on topic, I didn't think the lines were too bad until the Haunt started. SOB, Delirium, and Firehawk were walk-ons for a good part of the morning.
  9. Hmm...It's hard to believe that the 2008 operating season is nearing it's end! But this year was pretty good for me, both with events at KI and elsewhere. My only regret is that I didn't have a camera to capture some of these! Opening Day 2008 was my first time ever at Kings Island. And, my first time on a roller coaster since I was roughly eight years old riding Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disney World in Florida. I can't even put into words the things that were running through my mind as I stepped through the front gate onto International Street after waiting in line to process my Gold Pass. My first ride at KI was Adventure Express. Before riding anything we had walked through the park taking a look at some of the major attractions and I remember thinking to myself that there was no way I'd ever find myself on Vortex, Firehawk, or Flight of Fear, and the friend I was there with had the same mindset so we decided to go for the small rides. As we were taking our seats in the rear car of Adventure Express my friend made a point of announcing to everybody that this was my first trip to Kings Island, it felt kinda cool when the ride ops and the few people who were in line started clapping After that first ride on Adventure Express I felt as though I was able to tackle anything. Well, ALMOST anything. My friend took me to see Drop Tower. I felt confident as I started towards the line, But standing under the "Scream Zone" sign and looking up at the tower, my courage left me at the speed of light. I didn't ride Drop Tower that day. Nor did I ride Invertigo, Delirium, Son of Beast, or Vortex. But I did get over my fears and ride everything else (With the exception of a few rides in Nick Universe that I'm too tall to ride, but don't think I didn't try!) And now, all the aforementioned rides that I was petrified of during my first trip have become must-rides for ANY trip to KI. I have one or two more trips to KI on my agenda for this year, and next year will be my last year in Ohio as I'm shipping off to Navy Basic Training on August 4th, but I plan on enjoying plenty more trips to KI in the few summer months I have left in Ohio
  10. Yeah, I had spent roughly three hours looking for my friend whom I finally found in the line for Vortex as I was passing by, so I hopped the fence to make sure I didn't lose her again >.<
  11. I wouldn't really call it line jumping unless you actually pass somebody. I'd say you're in the clear
  12. Haha, gotta love that! Should've waited until it was his turn to ride then pointed him out to the ride ops.
  13. I hope it doesn't close! I love the screaming contests Plus, it's the only ride my gf will let me ride within twenty minutes of eating -.-
  14. I like it. It's a great coaster to go on when you just want a calm ride that doesn't beat the living crap out of you...*Cough* AE *Cough* And also...it's one of the few coasters that actually seems faster in the front seat.
  15. Yikes. Sounds freaky. I definitely agree. I love riding Drop Tower but if the ride got stuck anywhere above around 40 ft. I do believe I'd be going nuts. The falling part of the ride doesn't bother me that much, It's going up that scares the crap out of me >.<
  16. 1. The Beast (At night) 2. Firehawk 3. Vortex 4. FoF 5. BLSC
  17. I'd like a Tilt-A-Whirl type thing in coney Mall personally.
  18. I find it boring, to say the least. But that doesn't mean it's not fun, or rather, that it can't be made fun.
  19. Yes, everything at Kings Island is safety first. Well I knew the chains would be taken off, assuming that chainsaw wielding monsters would actually be there. I just didn't know if they actually were there or not.
  20. My feelings exactly. Although my first ride was 5 years after yours was. AE was the first ride I ever rode at KI.
  21. I'm going to the Edgewood Vs. [insert random school I don't care about] game tonight, but I'll be at KI on Saturday from open to close
  22. Awesome! I'll be doing this when I go tomorrow just to embarass the friends I'm bringing along
  23. Viking Fury is nothing but a screaming contest. I always head to it after lunch at Festhaus and scream until I'm blue in the face. I think it's really fun even though it's a fairly boring ride.
  24. If nothing else: Dueling Dragons The Hulk Spiderman I haven't been to the park in about four years so they've probably put in some new stuff that I'm not familiar with, but the first two are the most amazing coasters I've ever been on and Spiderman is an awesome flat ride.
  25. Judging by the weather report, I'd say it'd be closer to 45.
