  1. Is that for around 16 visits (2 meals per day)?
  2. After having read the last few pages of this topic, I just have to quote myself:
  3. I always visit during the summer on a weekday, usually Tuesday or Wednesday. For the last three seasons (since the start of FL )it seems like the advantage of doing that seems to have been virtually erased. By noon, almost every ride has had very long lines. Of course, it is still worse on a Saturday.
  4. Last year I had more than one employee come across as not only incompetent, but - for a lack of a better description - almost acting as if they were being held against their will. I kind of felt sorry for a few of them.
  5. ^I have to say that I enjoyed the former very much. Unfortunately, I didn't make it to the latter.
  6. Thanks for posting! I did also want to mention that new cars being parked inside Kings Island has a significant historical precedence.
  7. It's always a bit of a jarring experience at Kings Island: you get off of a world-class attraction like Banshee or the Eiffel Tower, only to try to get something to eat and be met with service that could only rival a below-average McDonald's.
  8. I hope that everyone that goes tonight has fun. I've been wanting to do this since last fall, but getting up at 5:30AM + working all day + 3 hour round trip drive + walking all around Kings Island and trying to have a good time was just too much to pull off today.
  9. I mentioned this in another thread, but since this is the "rumors" section, it seemed like another good place to mention it.... There's what appears to be a very large planter in the dining area of Hank's back porch bar (visible from Kings Island's Banshee cam) that wasn't there last season.
  10. Is that a very large planter in the dining area of Hank's back porch (or whatever it is called)? It wasn't there last season.
  11. I signed up to do this again this year. I hope it is more organized than last year. The registration situation was a real mess. In fact, I had to ignore what the Color Me Rad people said to do, or I would have completely missed the race. Luckily I was able to locate someone from Kings Island to help me.
  12. You have to wonder if past Kings Island management could have fathomed how relatively quickly two of those massive buildings in that pic would go virtually dormant.
  13. I really think it will be something to keep people coming through the gate!
  14. A couple interesting things I noticed on the app: 1. The "postcard" feature looks really neat. What a great idea. 2. The International Restaurant is featured on the map as a dining area. How many "less-informed" guests will attempt to go there to eat?
  15. Here is a short video I made from some footage I took from 2011 that I came across:
  16. Would you want to invite any negative speculation by purposely drawing attention to a ride that's not operating? (Something about safety being paramount!)
  17. It looks fantastic. I still can't help wondering, though...Why the change? Why this ride? Why that point in time?
  18. I'm looking for something out in left field.
  19. While I couldn't have imagined such a thing not too long ago, I now will be surprised if it doesn't happen at Kings Island.
  20. I think that anything that happens so close in proximity to arguably the most important part of Kings Island qualifies as extremely interesting.
  21. I can't stop thinking about what could be going on at the Tower Gardens spot. I think this is one of the most interesting developments ever at Kings Island.
  22. Anyone else a little skittish about attending this (especially if you have to drive a considerable distance), even if you feel that you've met all the criteria?
  23. Wow, I hope someone else doesn't think think that would be a FUN idea.
