Vortex 25th Anniversary
My best memory of Vortex is seeing it for the first time in 1992...and not riding it until the next year. Took that long to work up my nerve! Luckily I have a photo keychain from that ride as a momento (in black and white, of course!).

You might be a KI addict if you...
...check the webcams during the off-season, including Christmas Day, just to see what Kings Island looks like on Christmas Day!

Yes, it is...about 4 pm to closing.... The best part about making that video was hearing the sounds of the park again!

X-Base Idea
I think it's a great idea, and something I think the park needs. It doesn't look that far, to me.

What's the year?
2011! Good job! Topgun1993 has revived his excellent thread from last year...so I'm going to suspend this one...I look forward to seeing his posts every day, just like Standbyme's great thread. I thank everyone for participating, and hopefully I was able to somewhat entertain you in between those two excellent topics! Happy 2012!!

Just noticed this.....
I would have thought that WS would have affected the skyline at the vantage point at which many visitors snap a photo (Kings Island's "trademark" spot?). However, at that point, which you can see in the bottom pic I posted, WS "disappears". Seems like too big of a coincidence to me...and a placement that would have taken a bit of planning to execute correctly.
