Yes, the star was moved to KI for Halley's Comet. Also, if you would like more info about the Shooting Star, I would suggest reaching out to Alfred Freeman on Facebook. He knows a lot about the coaster. He also worked on some including the Screechin' Eagle at Americana.

El Toro "Derails"
Oldschool75 replied to SonofBaconator's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
It was a derailment. The wheel is clearly above the track. The whole train doesn't have to come off to be a derailment. -
I would love to see a large immersive dark ride for the Timberwolf site.

You might want to look above the last photo Also, the grass did not grow until well after Orion was completed.

Best line from that blog "Don’t assume every time you see me out in the park that a tweetup is about to happen."

Did you not read my post? The area was graded. There are no remnants of Firehawk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The dispatch bells on all the wood coasters. I really miss those. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It could be an elevated flat ride, something that would require a foundation that had to handle high stress . I highly doubt a new coaster. or maybe for a new train bridge to allow the train to go around the park??? That would be nice.

Like a Bat Signal? LOL

Just an observation from riding Orion multiple times this year. It appears there may have been some core samplings done on the other side of Orion's fence. What I see are small round spots in the grass that appear to be filled in with gravel. These spots aappear to be fresh. The photos don't really show as clearly as the view from Orion, but you can't take pictures from rides. LOL Before people say "thats from Firehawk", here is a photo that will show you that the land was graded during Orion's construction so they are clearly new "holes"Just wondering what could be in store for the future??

I went exploring earlier this year. I was able to find the footers for the old Motordrome and marked them in Google maps. I also found some gas lines fro either old lamps from the motordrome. I may have also recovered some riding steel from the coaster. The parts where the coaster and motordrome were not filled in like the rest of the park in the 1970’s. -

Here is the video. Looks pretty dangerous with the supports moving that much. -
I just wish that lockers could be paid for using apple pay since I don't take my wallet in the park anymore.

So I hear KI has cinnamon bread now? Is this true?

Having cash has no effect. You might want to research how businesses run. Most large investments are financed.

The 50ft deck would be excluded from the ADA because it existed before the act. There are multiple reasons. When it rained it became very slick and there where always people slipping and getting injured m, also teens would throw stuff from that level at people down below. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I used the Sharonville Convention center in this image

Here is a crude diagram I put together I think would be beneficial for KI and the area. Adding a Hotel Breakers style Hotel and enclose the wave pool to be used in the winter time by Hotel guests. Also add a Kings Island Convention Center that can hold regional events.

Stimulus checks are the key to these issues. It’s Providing more spending money for those who would not usually have it. And in some cases a different social environment where crime is an everyday thing and they don’t care. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
