It's supposed to show if you're a helpful member or a troll. However, it tends to be abused (watch as all TAER IT DOWN posts would get negative karma), so it wouldn't surprise me if Dane disables it totally.

Usually, you would give an especially helpful post positive karma and a, for whatever reason, bad post negative karma. On most sites, your karma (like,if you had 3 positive and 2 negative, it would show +1) would show on your profile. Seems like it's disabled here so far.

In my opinion, so far... Upsides: Slicker Post Karma MultiQuote is finally correctly labeled The new top bar is not as cluttered Confirmation pages look far better (like the one you get after you log in) Better emoticon panel Downsides: Quick Login appears to be gone- it took me like five minutes to find the actual log in link. Really bright The posts seem to take up more space. The forum view seems much... bigger.

It also appears to be darn near impossible to find out which topics have new posts. Although it also has some Twitter feature and post karma, so that makes it okay. And they finally called the multiquote button "MultiQuote" instead of "quote", which makes way more sense.

Could we at least keep the other one as an option? IIRC, Invision does allow for the user to select from multiple skins. This one is really hard to navigate compared to the old one.

The problem with the photoeyes is that sometimes splashing water will set it off, and it will turn green long before the rider actually clears the slide. I've seen this happen. A combonation of having the lifeguard clear it and having the photoeye would probably be the best bet.

That would never work on this slide, as the rider may pass the mark but still not clear the loop. That can only be done on 100% downhill slides.

I've seen timers at parks where the top does not have a view of the bottom (WaTiki indoor waterpark in Rapid City, SD for example).

I just think it's an all-around bad idea. They need to have some way of automatically making sure a rider has cleared the loop and entire slide instead of using a timer like some parks do.

I still love how he asked who had ridden the Drop Zone. Somewhere in Sandusky, Dick Kinzel shuddered.

I'm pretty sure the park was more crowded for the 2009 Freedom Concert than it was for the Wallenda walk. It seemed that way, anyway. And I didn't even see any line jumping that day!

Oooh! Oooh! You can buy SoB stuff... if by "stuff", you mean a sticker included in a scrapbooking kit.

I mean, I can see how he can say that he likes it. But to say that it's not rough just because you like it is... questionable. I love Flight of Fear, but I could admit its flaws. Same with The Beast. Of course, I think Racer is boring, but I can see why some people like it.
