And the obvious point is Inverts are fun, and stand ups are not.

The Beast was smoother. You weren't mistaken.

Why does it matter if there are three coasters in one area that hang below the track? Oh no, Vortex, Beast, Stunt Track, and Diamondback are all close to each other and their trains are above the track. Someone better let Ouimet know.

Or just walk, you lazy POS.

KICentral Day Group Photo in International Restaurant
TTD-120-420 replied to Dane's topic in Kings Island
That was last week. Sorry you missed it! I didn't miss it. Every day is a Busch Gardens day. -
I'm fully convinced this is an invert. Well done to those providing pictures and also the people who actually try to decode what we have and not talk uselessly about it being a hotel or campground. Now that I am fully convinced it is an invert, I was thinking about the improvements B&M could have come up with, over the past 20+ years since the first B&M invert came out, that can be implemented on to this new coaster. I will also touch on what inverted elements are needed on this coaster to make it the best of the currently 33 B&M inverts in operation. Rough transitions into MCBR and final brakes needs to be lightened up. Alpengeist's MCBR snaps you hard and is very uncomfortable. Raptor is the same way into the final brakes. I don't remember much about the Dragon Challenge (only other inverts I have been on) transitions, but these transitions need to be nice and smooth on the new coaster. NO TRIMS! Raptor doesn't have any, but Alpengeist is trimmed to death. Most (if not all) new B&M coasters of all model types have trims implemented right off The Bat. Why not design it to not have trims? It needs to have Raptor's last helix. The forces on that thing are insane. Alpengeist's helix finale is dreadful. With B&M recently going the way of the forceless rides, I am nervous they would go with a helix closer to the Alpengeist variety. Please don't do that, B&M. Of course the twisted first drop is needed. I'm pretty sure most, if not all, inverts have a twisted first drop, so I don't think we have to worry about that. Something Raptor is missing is an Immelmann loop. I don't know about everyone else, but I love these elements. They are the only inversion that I actually think is worth anything. That is all I can think of right now. I am very excited for this new addition, whatever it may be.

Electric Adventure 2013
TTD-120-420 replied to UnrealNightmare's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I read this as "Electric Avenue 2013" and was going to be mad if someone remade the song. -
Are we really talking about this being a campground? Really?

If KC's footings were going to be removed, wouldn't they have removed them when they had the equipment to do so, when they removed SOB's footings?

That is what I have been thinking. Jeff has dropped some hints that it might happen at the event, but that might just be a way to sell tickets.

Let's have a KIC day... At Busch Gardens Virginia. -
Today, I had a guest ask me where Maverick and Rebel Yell were. How can they be so wrong?

I have only blocked one user on this site, a long time ago, and it doesn't help. People still quote the poster, respond to the poster, or make fun of the poster. It makes it unavoidable. Plus half the time I ended up using the option to see what was said just because I wanted a good laugh. Going back to the inversions comment. Big Sexy is, to some degree, right. People have their fears. Some don't like heights, some don't care for speed. A lot of guests are terrified of going upside-down. I was on Skyride the other day at BGW, and in a span of ten minutes I was asked five times if Skyride went upside-down. Friggin Skyride. Anyone with common sense can tell the ride does not invert, but people are terrified. I was asked if Escape From Pompeii inverted in the show building. It is a water ride.

Move One Ride from Anywhere in the Country to KI
TTD-120-420 replied to MarketingExpress's topic in Coming Attractions
^Never got the chance to ride it, but everything I read said it was as vanilla as B&Ms come. And that is saying something. -
I only ride B&M Inverts in the back row on the outside seat. Otherwise, it is just not worth my time.

Some issues is an understatement. Thank God. I'm glad SEA learned from their mistakes. -
As much as you guys seem to dislike him, Big Sexy might be my favorite troll ever. I even agree with him on some things.

Vortex. Hate it. Hate most Arrow loopers. (Excluding Tennessee Tornado)

http://www.diynetwork.com/videos/kings-dominion-rollercoasters/38847.html In this video they talk about Kings Dominion's Drop Tower. Around the 14 minute mark.

What Terp said! They know when it leaks. They control when it leaks! This is a multi-million dollar business. Nothing is a "oops!" Really? Mr. Ouimet didn't seem too happy when we talked to him the day the Sandusky Register leaked Gatekeeper. I'm also pretty sure they were not wanting WindSeeker to be leaked by the ride manufacturer they should have went with. I could keep going all the way back to Maverick.

Uhhh, we have found out many rides before we were supposed to. Seems to happen every year.

I think we need to dig deeper into public records to find the answer we are all looking for. The answer is out there. If I knew where to look, I would do it myself.
